Please do not edit your Talk page comments after there has been a reply

25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Welcome to Wikipedia ↗. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, discussion pages are meant to be a record of a discussion; deleting or editing legitimate comments, as you did at :Talk:Legislative violence ↗, is considered bad practice ↗, even if you meant well. Even making spelling and grammatical corrections in others' comments is generally frowned upon, as it tends to irritate the users whose comments you are correcting. Take a look at the welcome page ↗ to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Because editing comments after they have been replied to, I have restored your original comment but struck it out ↗ so that others can see the original context of my reply. Then I have added your revised reply below my original reply. Please the talk page guidelines ↗ to understand how to use talk pages appropriately.<!-- Template:uw-tpv1 --> - Cameron Dewe (talk) 06:55, 4 February 2025 (UTC)

Eye contact ↗

What gives police officer ↗s away in a roomful of people is their habit ↗ of looking too intently and too carefully at others. דב מרקו1969 (talk) 03:23, 5 July 2026 (UTC)

Lateralization of brain function ↗

: Many sweeping generalizations have been made about right and left cerebral hemisphere ↗ function which are hard to justify. One such claim is that the left hemisphere is specialized for local, detailed, serial processing, whereas the right hemisphere is more specialized for global, holistic, parallel processing. Some evidence for this comes from patients who draw pictures from recall. Patients with right-hemisphere damage recall details while missing global features, whereas patients with left-hemisphere damage do the reverse. Left-damaged patients have difficulty with verbal material, whereas right-damaged patients have difficulty with spatial problems. Left-damaged patients tend to display feelings of anger and despair, whereas right-damaged patients show placidity and sometimes even elation. דב מרקו1969 (talk) 05:44, 8 July 2026 (UTC)

Formatting and reapplying a reference

In your edit at human eye ↗ with Special:Diff/1315421299 ↗, your formatting of the reference was awkward and incomplete.

Use the Wikipedia format tool here. ↗ Enter the PubMed ID in the submit box, check "add ref tag" and "use full journal title", then submit. You can edit the ref name, such as by using an abbreviation of the first author's surname, as long as that name is unique for the whole article. Copy the result and insert into the article after the punctuation.

For example, using PMID 25431659 gives <nowiki><ref name="pmid25431659">{{cite journal |vauthors=Bekerman I, Gottlieb P, Vaiman M |title=Variations in eyeball diameters of the healthy adults |journal=Journal of Ophthalmology |volume=2014 |issue= |pages=503645 |date=2014 |pmid=25431659 |pmc=4238270 |doi=10.1155/2014/503645}}</ref></nowiki> which can be renamed as "beker".

When reusing the formatted ref, follow WP:REFNAME ↗, i.e., after the first ref is used in full, subsequent uses are applied by <nowiki><ref name=beker/></nowiki>

Good luck. Zefr (talk) 16:59, 6 October 2025 (UTC)
