Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Decoy (1946 film) ↗, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page PM ↗<!-- ([//dispenser.info.tm/~dispenser/cgi-bin/dablinks.py/Decoy_%281946_film%29 check to confirm] | [//dispenser.info.tm/~dispenser/cgi-bin/dab_solver.py/Decoy_%281946_film%29?client=notify fix with Dab solver])-->. 25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Hello, I'm Magnolia677. An edit that you recently made to :Buick V8 engine ↗ seemed to be generated using a large language model ↗ (an "AI chatbot ↗" or other application using such technology). Text produced by these applications is usually unsuitable for an encyclopedia ↗, and may contain factually inaccurate statements, fictitious citations, or other problems. You should instead read reliable sources ↗ and then summarize those in your own words. Your edit may have been reverted ↗. If you want to practice editing, please use your sandbox. If you think a mistake was made, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks.{{PAGENAME}} ↗<!-- Template:uw-ai1 --> Magnolia677 (talk) 16:34, 27 February 2026 (UTC)
:Honest, I wrote it all myself, sifting down several early 1950s sources, including the professional journal paper for the Society of Automotive Engineers. I used the quotes because I didn't want to paraphrase, and wanted to use the General Motors engineers' descriptions and rationales direct from the source. Wikipedia's US-auto-engine entries have lots of info about 1950s-60s powerplants "documented" by reference to someone's 20th century website; when I write on similar subjects for Wikipedia, I try instead to offer quality period sources, well-documented as I do in my professional world (retired college teacher), in plain language. If you choose to revert by taking away what took me many hours to research and write, I won't fight it---but it'll discourage me from contributing. (BTW, you can look up my contributions as both George J. Ferencz and as 20thCenturyAmMusic; the topics are sometimes pop culture (Cheez Whiz, Hamburger Helper), but I strive to provide solid, documentable, of-its-period info. Thanks for listening <smile> ↗ 20thCenturyAmMusic (talk) 00:42, 28 February 2026 (UTC)
