The Slim Shady LP

There are '''two different''' "Just Don't Give a Fuck ↗" singles: one for the ''Slim Shady EP ↗'', and one for ''The Slim Shady LP ↗''.

The first single was released as a 12" by Web on December 10, 1997.https://www.discogs.com/release/465401-Eminem-Just-Dont-Give-A-Fck ↗ This features the original version of "Just Don't Give a Fuck" and includes "Low Down, Dirty" and "Just The Two of Us" as b-sides. This is the only single from the ''Slim Shady EP''.

The second single was released as a cassette, CD maxi, and 12" by Aftermath and Interscope on October 13, 1998.https://www.discogs.com/master/12021-Eminem-Just-Dont-Give-A-F ↗ This features an updated version of "Just Don't Give a Fuck" (with a different instrumental and the word "raped" censored) and includes "Brain Damage" as a b-side. This is the first single from ''The Slim Shady LP''.

Jericho735 (talk) 21:54, 15 August 2023 (UTC)

:It's still the same song though, just because there was an update doesn't mean that the overall song changed noteworthily enough to be considered the lead single from the latter release. It's like a remaster of an old song, it's still the same song just with slight differences that aren't noteworthy enough unless specificized otherwise. 4TheLuvOfFax (talk) 22:18, 15 August 2023 (UTC)

::A single is not the same thing as a song; singles often include multiple tracks, and the 1998 "Just Don't Give a Fuck" single includes two tracks taken from ''The Slim Shady LP'' (neither of which appear on the ''Slim Shady EP''). They are different singles even if both include different versions of the same song. Jericho735 (talk) 22:25, 15 August 2023 (UTC)
:::B-sides don't constitute reason to classify them as different singles in the context of an overall album. 4TheLuvOfFax (talk) 22:28, 15 August 2023 (UTC)

Please stop with the dispersive edits and wrongly calling it "clean up". We use the credits to display the songwriters, most rappers don't go by their "rap" name, but by their real name on the credits.

English varieties

25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Hello. In a recent edit&nbsp;to the page :Culture of Australia ↗, you changed one or more words or styles from one national variety of English to another. Because Wikipedia has readers from all over the world, our policy is to respect national varieties of English ↗ in Wikipedia articles.

For a subject exclusively related to the United Kingdom (for example, a famous British person), use British English ↗. For something related to the United States in the same way, use American English ↗. For something related to another English-speaking country ↗, such as Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, India, or Pakistan, use the variety of English used there. For an international topic, use the form of English that the ''first'' author of the article used.

In view of that, please don't change articles from one version of English to another, even if you don't normally use the version in which the article is written. Respect other people's versions of English. They, in turn, should respect yours. Other general guidelines on how Wikipedia articles are written can be found in the Manual of Style ↗. If you have any questions about this, you can ask me on my talk page or visit the help desk ↗. Thank you. <!-- Template:uw-engvar --> Graham87 (talk) 11:02, 21 April 2024 (UTC)

Question regarding an article

{{admin help|answered=yes}}
<!-- PLACE YOUR HELP QUESTION AFTER THIS LINE -->

Because I don't wish to get into another argument with the main user that's been editing this page since 2016, I wanted to ask an admin to prevent further chaos from ensuing.

Previously, I had tried to edit Breanna Yde ↗, I attempted to update the fact that she's not just an American actress, but also an Australian musician. Although a lot of her work has been done in the USA, she's very much an Australian and a musician. Which, even though I sourced, it got removed regardless. I feel like leaving her designation as an "American actress" only is misleading and should be updated.

:Hi,
:This is a content dispute/issue, which requires no administrative action. The way to handle that is to discuss the matter on the talk page of the article in question. Only if that results in an impasse, you may escalate the matter, but even then it shouldn't hopefully need admins to get involved.
:No one 'owns' or controls an article, and everyone has the same rights (and responsibilities) in editing it. That is true of the "main user" (as you put it), as much as it is of you, and anyone else including any admins.

Positions

The Positions (album) ↗ article is not 'official". It's just another wiki page that cannot be used as a cited source for other wiki articles. It says that the main genres are R&B and pop, and goes onto say (also uncited) that it "expands on the trap infused R&B and pop of its predecessors". So it's not even describing Positions, but the albums prior to it. This does not justify the main Ariana Grande ↗ article completely dropping R&B from its description to become just "trap infused". Either way, a source that unequivocally describes the album as "trap infused" is needed. <span style="color: green;">Escape Orbit</span> (Talk) ↗ 23:11, 14 April 2026 (UTC)
