License tagging for Image:CUC Regions Map.jpg

Thanks for uploading :Image:CUC Regions Map.jpg ↗. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag ↗ applied to the image description page ↗ indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions ↗. 04:04, 19 December 2006 (UTC)

Image tagging for Image:CUC Logo.jpg

Thanks for uploading ''':Image:CUC Logo.jpg ↗'''. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Welcome to the Religion Project!

Welcome and thank you for having joined the Religion Project ↗. I noted that you have an interest in Unitarian Universalism ↗, and I'm very happy to see it. I regret to say that my own fields of expertise are more or less generic Judeo-Christian and related, with some basic knowledge of the older and basically no longer extant groups, and look forward to being able to work with you and the other members on these articles. For what little it might be worth, I am a fairly good copywriter, editor, and reviewer. Several of the other members have much more knowledge and expertise in other fields, and it is my sincerest hope that you will feel free to look to the project or any of its members if you so wish. If you ever do have any questions or concerns in which you think I might be able to help, please do not hesitate to contact me. Again, welcome to the project, and happy editing! Hi Devin, The reason I deleted the UUstub template from Kissy Face ↗ is that, as it stands now, the article doesn't say anything about Unitarian Universalism. I'm assuming from your "see also" that it is played at UUYouth Conferences, but the article does not state or give any evidence of that. -Aleta 02:15, 3 April 2007 (UTC)

Regarding edits to Wink (game) ↗

Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia, Nived 90! However, your edit here ↗ was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove spam ↗ from Wikipedia. If you were trying to insert a good link, please accept my creator's apologies, but note that the link you added, matching rule \bangelfire\.com\/, is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. Please read Wikipedia's external links policy ↗ for more information. If the link was to an image, please read Wikipedia's image tutorial ↗ on how to use a more appropriate method to insert the image into an article. If your link was intended to promote a site you own, are affiliated with, or will make money from inclusion in Wikipedia, please note that inserting spam into Wikipedia is against policy. :Image:NonFreeImageRemoved.svg ↗

Hello Nived 90, an automated process has found an image or media file tagged as nonfree media, such as fair use ↗. The image (:Image:NonFreeImageRemoved.svg ↗) was found at the following location: User talk:Nived 90. This image or media will be removed per statement number 9 of our non-free content policy. The image or media will be replaced with Image:NonFreeImageRemoved.svg , so your formatting of your userpage should be fine. The image that was replaced will not be automatically deleted, but it could be deleted at a later date. Articles using the same image should not be affected by my edits. I ask you to please not readd the image to your userpage and could consider finding a replacement image licensed under either the Creative Commons ↗ or GFDL ↗ license or released to the public domain ↗. Thanks for your attention and cooperation. User:Gnome (Bot)-talk 02:24, 17 May 2007 (UTC)

Why are you editing other users' stuff?

Hello. I noticed you have edited one of my userboxes. I am reverting the change because you left no reason why you made the change. Most people don't like it when people go around editing other people's user-name-space pages (page such as <nowiki>User:FastLizard4/Userboxing/...</nowiki>) for no apparent reason, hence edit summaries and talk pages. '''If the border size is bothering you, make you own, don't use mine.''' Now, beneficial changes (such as removing fair-use images) that are justified some way or another (either on my Talk Page or in an edit summary) I ''would'' appreciate, and I owe some people for watching my back in this way. Thank you.<br/>

Another note: my talk page has a section for suggestion on my userboxes. Why don't you say something there?<br/>

Orphaned non-free media (Image:AUC Logo.gif)

25px ↗ Thanks for uploading ''':Image:AUC Logo.gif ↗'''. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use ↗. However, it is currently orphaned ↗, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back ↗ if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media ↗).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions ↗" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any '''articles''' will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion ↗. Disputed fair use rationale for File:Icuu final logo.jpg}

Thank you for uploading ''':File:Icuu final logo.jpg ↗'''. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content ↗. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation ↗ linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check:
:* That there is a non-free use rationale ↗ on the image's escription page for each article the image is used in.
:* That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.
Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag ↗; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion ↗. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page ↗. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. User:Nived 90/User boxes

Hi! I noticed your question at MfD about User:Nived 90/User boxes. I could not find any record of someone adding a {{tl|mfd}} tag to the page, so my best guess of what happened is that someone added an {{tl|mfd}} tag to one of the userboxes that is transcluded ↗ in the page. As far as I can tell, no one proposed the page for deletion, so you don't have to worry about that. Cheers, –'''B<small>LACK</small> F<small>ALCON</small>''' (T<small>ALK</small>) 04:17, 30 June 2009 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for File:The Hot 20 Red Logo.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to ''':File:The Hot 20 Red Logo.jpg ↗'''. :HUUmanists ↗

left|40px ↗
This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of :HUUmanists ↗, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.iheu.org/node/1460. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy ↗ for further details.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 02:12, 17 December 2009 (UTC)

Speedy deletion ↗ nomination of :HUUmanists ↗

48px|left ↗ A tag has been placed on :HUUmanists ↗ requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion ↗, because the article appears to be a blatant copyright ↗ infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of ''information'', but not as a source of ''sentences''. This part is crucial: ''say it in your own words''.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you ''must'' verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials ↗. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission ↗. Hello, I notice that you recently created a new page, ''':Hanging on by a Thread Sessions Vol. 1 ↗'''. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as yourself. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page - ''':Hanging on by a Thread Sessions, Vol. 1 ↗'''. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion ↗. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at :Hanging on by a Thread Sessions, Vol. 1 ↗ - you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page ↗.

If you think that the article you created should remain separate, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the '''the page's talk page directly ↗''' to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for ''speedy'' deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators ↗ to request that the administrator userfy ↗ the page or email a copy to you. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process ↗ and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions.<!-- Template:Db-csd-notice-custom --> Walter Görlitz (talk) 19:28, 7 October 2011 (UTC)

Time in Nova Scotia

Hi Nived! I noticed you are using my userbox that shows your local time. That's great! As you have probably seen I'm still in the process of adding more time zones to the relevant templates, and I want to let you know that I have added your time zone to the list (which is the Atlantic Time Zone for Nova Scotia if I'm not mistaken). That means that you can replace the hour offset with the abbreviation '''AT''' so that you don't have to worry about Daylight Saving Time (DST) since that is being taken care of automatically.

Because I'm not fully familiar with all the ins and outs of every time zone on the planet, I'd like to ask you if I did the right thing. Is it correct that DST begins and ends at '''2 a.m. local time''' (on the second Sunday in March and the first Sunday in November)? As far as I know Canadian time follows US time rules almost anywhere, but I'd like to be sure.

Thank you! Styath (talk) 19:08, 15 October 2011 (UTC)

About Universalism

Hi Nived 90. The point with creating the {{tl|Universalism-bio-stub}} (transcluded in the {{cl|Religious biography stubs}}) was very simple: the {{cl|Religion stubs}} is overpopulated, while the {{cl|Religious biography stubs}} is underpopulated. Just that. Regards, --Fadesga (talk) 09:48, 18 April 2013 (UTC)
:Hi Nived 90. Before going to the debate page for the proposals, I would like to quickly ask you something. So far, I see that stubs related to Universalism, Unitarianism and Unitarian Universalism are somehow related, aren't they? There are at least four templates:

So: if you please answer me a simple question, then we might move forward to the WikiProject Stub sorting page. My question is about Unitarian Universalism ↗: it is at the same time part of the wider topics "Unitarianism" and "Universalism", isn't it? If that is the case, then we could think about categories with transcluded templates, and this way reach the minimum of 60 stubs per category.

Just answer me this question, please. Regards, --Fadesga (talk) 22:10, 19 April 2013 (UTC)
:What I mean: we could think about a bigger container category, and then the whole issue with related stubs would be properly answered. --Fadesga (talk) 22:41, 19 April 2013 (UTC)

Universalism tagging

I'm reverting your addition of the {{tl|universalism}} template across a number of articles. You seem to be indiscriminately adding the template based on your own thoughts of what concepts are universalistic in nature, but that is not appropriate. There must be significant reliable sources ↗ linking a concept with the nature of Universalism ↗. Regards, -- Jeff3000 (talk) 19:09, 17 July 2013 (UTC)
:While the Universalism ↗ Wikipedia article states certain things like what you quote (i.e. "referring to religious, theological, and philosophical concepts with universal application or applicability. Universalism is a term used to identify particular doctrines considering all people in their formation" connecting that with concepts where there is no reliable source ↗ stating the same thing is considered synthesis ↗ and therefore original research ↗ and not really applicable in Wikipedia. So rather than than me having to prove that they are not related, the burden of proof is on you to show that there are significant reliable source ↗ connecting the concepts that you have added in the template, and which you are tagging in categories and including the template. Regards, -- Jeff3000 (talk)
:Some places to look for possible references might show up in Bahá'í Faith on life after death ↗ and Bahá'í Faith and the unity of religion ↗. However I do see Nived 90 threw the net pretty broadly. There are some links that would not come to mind for me. It might be worth it to substantiate carefully what articles topics do actually directly link with a universalism theme and why. Did you mean to create this in the template: namespace? <span style="color:orange;">Everymorning</span> <span style="color:green;">talk</span> 04:17, 17 January 2015 (UTC)
:I saw you moved it to Template:User:nived 90/Template:TransgenderBar ↗. I moved it to User:nived 90/Template:TransgenderBar, which seems to be the intended location, and am replacing the redirects and tagging them for deletion. <kbd>—PC-XT+ ↗</kbd> 04:31, 18 January 2015 (UTC)
::I see you also have User:nived 90/Templet:TransgenderBar, which is nearly identical. I changed the example for both of these in case either page is moved again. I hope I wasn't too invasive. Cheers! <kbd>—PC-XT+ ↗</kbd> 05:26, 18 January 2015 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading :File:Hot Country 105.3 Logo.png ↗. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags ↗ to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list ↗, click on this link ↗, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. '''Jesus ↗''' (7–2 BC to 30–33 AD) is the central figure of Christianity ↗, whom the teachings of most Christian denominations hold to be the Son of God ↗ and the awaited Messiah ↗ of the Old Testament ↗. Virtually all modern scholars of antiquity agree that a historical Jesus ↗ existed, although there is little agreement on the reliability of the gospel narratives ↗ and how closely the biblical Jesus reflects the historical Jesus. Most scholars agree that Jesus was a Jewish preacher from Galilee, was baptized by John the Baptist ↗, and was crucified in Jerusalem on the orders of the Roman prefect, Pontius Pilate ↗. Christians generally believe that Jesus was conceived by the Holy Spirit ↗, born of a virgin ↗, performed miracles ↗, founded the Church, died by crucifixion ↗ as a sacrifice to achieve atonement ↗, rose from the dead ↗, and ascended ↗ into heaven, from which he will return ↗. The great majority of Christians worship Jesus as the incarnation of God the Son, the second of three Persons of a Divine Trinity ↗. A few Christian groups reject Trinitarianism, wholly or partly, as non-scriptural. In Islam ↗, Jesus is considered one of God's important prophets and the Messiah. {{TFAFULL|Jesus}}

Last month's auspicious relaunch of our newsletter ↗ precipitated something of an uproar in the Wikipedia community. What started as a localized edit war over censorship spilled over onto the Administrator's Noticeboard finally ending up at Wikipedia's supreme judicial body ArbCom. Their ruling ↗ resulted in the admonishment of administrator {{u|Future Perfect at Sunrise}} for his involvement in the dispute. The story was reported ↗ by Wikipedia's venerable flagship newspaper ''The Signpost''.

The question of whether to delete all portals--including the 27 Christianity-related portals--was put to the Wikipedia community. Approximately 400 editors have participated in the protracted discussion ↗. Going by !votes, Oppose deletion has a distinct majority. The original Christianity Portal ↗ was created on November 5, 2005 by {{User link|Brisvegas}} and the following year he successfully nominated the portal for Featured Portal. {{u|The Transhumanist}} has revived WikiProject Portals ↗ with hopes of revitalizing Wikipedia's system of 1,515 portals.

'''Operation Auca ↗''' was an attempt by five Evangelical ↗ Christian ↗ missionaries ↗ from the United States ↗ to make contact with the Huaorani ↗ people of the rainforest ↗ of Ecuador ↗. The Huaorani, also known as the Aucas, were an isolated tribe known for their violence, both against their own people and outsiders who entered their territory. After several months of exchanging gifts, on January 2 ↗, 1956 ↗, the missionaries established a camp at "Palm Beach", a sandbar ↗ along the Curaray River ↗, a few miles from Huaorani settlements. Their efforts culminated on January 8 ↗, 1956 ↗, when all five&mdash;Jim Elliot ↗, Nate Saint ↗, Ed McCully, Peter Fleming, and Roger Youderian ↗&mdash;were attacked and spear ↗ed by a group of Huaorani warriors. The deaths of the men galvanized the missionary effort in the United States, sparking an outpouring of funding for evangelization efforts around the world. Their work is still frequently remembered in evangelical publications, and in 2006, was the subject of the film production ''End of the Spear ↗''. ('''more... ↗''')

This depiction departs significantly from the historical record of how Mortara was taken—no clergy were present, for example.}}</div>
The '''Mortara case ↗''' was a controversy precipitated by the Papal States ↗' seizure of Edgardo Mortara, a six-year-old Jewish child, from his family in Bologna, Italy ↗, in 1858. The city's inquisitor ↗, Father Pier Feletti, heard from a servant that she had administered emergency baptism ↗ to the boy when he fell sick as an infant, and the Supreme Sacred Congregation of the Roman and Universal Inquisition ↗ held that this made the child irrevocably a Catholic. Because the Papal States had forbidden the raising of Christians by members of other faiths, it was ordered that he be taken from his family and brought up by the Church. After visits from the child's father, international protests mounted, but Pope Pius IX ↗ would not be moved. The boy grew up as a Catholic with the Pope as a substitute father, trained for the priesthood in Rome until 1870, and was ordained ↗ in France three years later. In 1870 the Kingdom of Italy ↗ captured Rome during the unification of Italy ↗, ending the pontifical state; opposition across Italy, Europe and the United States over Mortara's treatment may have contributed to its downfall. {{TFAFULL|Mortara case}}

I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. '''''When God Writes Your Love Story: The Ultimate Approach to Guy/Girl Relationships''''' is a 1999 book by Eric ↗ and Leslie Ludy ↗, an American married couple. After becoming a bestseller on the Christian book market, the book was republished in 2004 and then revised and expanded in 2009. The authors advise single people ↗ not to be physically ↗ or emotionally intimate ↗ with others, but to wait for the spouse that God has planned ↗ for them.

The book is divided into five sections and sixteen chapters. Each chapter is written from the perspective of one of the two authors; nine are by Eric, while Leslie wrote seven, as well as the introduction. The Ludys argue that one's love life should be both guided by and subordinate to one's relationship with God ↗. Leslie writes that God offers new beginnings to formerly unchaste ↗ or sexually abused ↗ individuals.

Сретение Господне ("The Meeting of the Lord"), a depiction of Simeon recognising Jesus at the Temple, from a fifteenth-century Novgorodskye School Russian icon.|right|205px ↗
'''''A Song for Simeon''''', is a 37-line poem written in 1928 by American-English poet T.&nbsp;S. Eliot ↗ (1888–1965). It is one of five poems ↗ that Eliot contributed to the ''Ariel poems ↗'' series of 38 pamphlets by several authors published by Faber and Gwyer ↗. "A Song for Simeon" was the sixteenth in the series and included an illustration by avant garde ↗ artist Edward McKnight Kauffer ↗. The poem's narrative echoes the text of the {{lang|la|Nunc dimittis ↗|italic=no}}, a liturgical prayer for Compline ↗ from the Gospel passage. Eliot introduces literary allusions to earlier writers Lancelot Andrewes ↗, Dante Alighieri ↗ and St. John of the Cross ↗. Critics have debated whether Eliot's depiction of Simeon is a negative portrayal of a Jewish figure and evidence of anti-Semitism ↗ on Eliot's part.

Changing your username with thousands of transclusions

FYI, I've been working to fix broken userbox transclusions throughout the pandemic (a little pet project). Since all of your moved userboxes generally have redirects, I've been passively updating those as well, like your previous username change from User:Nived 90 to User:Realmdee. Also, as I'm sure you know, you had a lot of misspellings and non-standard userbox names that had you move those as well (e.g. removing superfluous "Template" wording or spaces). There are thousands of transclusions of your userboxes. I see you went and changed your username again yesterday, further complicating things greatly. Double redirects like this one continue to be corrected by bots every time you thrash around like this. Would you consider picking a username you like and sticking with it? Or moving all of your userboxes to User:UBX's space? I don't mind passively fixing transclusions of your userboxes, so long as it is once and for all. Thanks. –&nbsp;<kbd><span style="color: #00F">void</span><span style="color: #000">xor</span></kbd> 20:01, 13 September 2021 (UTC)

: Update: I went ahead and updated all of the Realmdee references throughout the userbox galleries. At least that way, people aren't hitting redirects as they add userboxes to their pages. We still need to update the Nived 90 references, though.
: Also, do you plan to move more of the "Template:" prefixed ones in your user space to your "userboxes/" directory? –&nbsp;<kbd><span style="color: #00F">void</span><span style="color: #000">xor</span></kbd> 22:54, 22 October 2021 (UTC)

Userbox

Hey! I just wanted to let you know that your userbox that says you prefer Pale Moon over Edge and IE had an image that was deleted from commons. I've since removed the image so there's not that giant red text that leads to a deleted image. You can decide if you replace it or leave it out. ― <b style="background:#0d1125;color:#51aeff;padding:1q;border-radius:5q">Blaze The Wolf</b>TalkBlaze Wolf#6545 19:52, 1 October 2021 (UTC)

Why did you edit this user box to make it look almost exactly like this one I made? (based on the hex codes, seemingly just copy/pasting the code)? I’m flattered, but before people had two option to choose from and now there’s just two the same? I’m very confused. <span style="color:#70A67A">-- NotC</span><span style="color:#396340">hariza</span><span style="color:#0D2311">rd</span> ↗ <span style="color:#0D2311">🗨</span> 06:42, 4 June 2024 (UTC)
