25px|alt=|link= ↗ Hello, I'm Prairie Astronomer. I noticed that in <span class="plainlinks">this edit ↗</span> to :Netherlands national football team results (2020–present) ↗, you removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary ↗. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. ::::Yes, we can revert changes, if we believe someone was wrong with the edit. If you were making a legitimate edit, it was hard for me to know that it was legitimate if information was just being deleted without an explanation. Disambiguation link notification for March 27

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Poland national football team results (2020–present) ↗, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Olympiastadion ↗. Such links are usually incorrect ↗, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. <small>(Read the FAQ{{*}} Join us at the DPL WikiProject ↗.)</small>

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, --DPL bot (talk) 18:04, 27 March 2024 (UTC)

Clubs' seasons

Hi there! Could you please update the articles for the clubs' seasons? Your hard work is greatly appreciated. EpicAdventurer (talk) 12:51, 20 October 2024 (UTC)

:Hi, yeah, I've been editing a lot of clubs' seasons match by match, mainly Premier League with occaisional LaLiga, Bundesliga, Serie A, and UCL. Because I think editing the results boxes is fun and easy. But there are often other people who beat you to the editing punch and I'm not going to be editing full results pages for every club in the top leagues because that would be madness. Football infobox timestamp

25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Hello, I'm Mattythewhite. I just wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions ↗ were not quite right. When updating statistics within the infobox ↗ of a footballer, please make sure you update the timestamp at the same time, so that both readers and fellow editors know when the information was last updated.

You can do this by replacing the existing timestamp within the {{para|club-update}} or {{para|pcupdate}} parameter for club stats, or the {{para|nationalteam-update}} or {{para|ntupdate}} parameter for international stats. For articles that use a DMY date format ↗, use five tildes (<nowiki>~~~~~</nowiki>), or for MDY dates, use {{subst|mdytime}}. This will generate the specific time the update was made.

If you have any questions about this, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page ↗. Thank you. Mattythewhite (talk) 18:35, 19 January 2025 (UTC)

:OK, I'm just not going to update stat infoboxes. There are too many numbers to keep track of, and you'll just keep undoing them instead of just correcting my mistakes. Alexthebat901 (talk) 18:42, 19 January 2025 (UTC)
::It's not the responsibility of me, or any other editor for that matter, to correct your mistakes. Mattythewhite (talk) 18:54, 19 January 2025 (UTC)
:::Can I ask you a quick question, since I can see you have admin privileges? Is there something you can do to stop editors who live update match results? For example, there's this one guy who only ever edits the Leicester City F.C. season page called User:Idkreally6969696 . Not only do they live edit, but the code they write for the dropdown boxes has bad syntax, and they often write the wrong player names (ie disambiguation links). I'm not asking you to IP ban or anything. I just find it annoying when there's someone else publishing edits of ongoing games, and when I publish my edits when the game finishes, it causes an edit conflict, which I have to scroll down and edit again. Alexthebat901 (talk) 21:23, 19 January 2025 (UTC)

please use edit summaries

25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Hello. I have noticed that you {{usertalk other|often ↗|often}} edit without using an edit summary ↗. Please do your best to '''always fill in the summary field'''. This helps your fellow editors use their time more productively, rather than spending it unnecessarily scrutinizing and verifying your work. Even a short summary is better than no summary, and summaries are particularly important for large, complex, or potentially controversial edits. To help yourself remember, you may wish to check the "prompt me when entering a blank edit summary" box in your preferences ↗. Thanks! <!-- Template:Uw-editsummary2 --> You've been asked to use edit summaries before, and I hope you will begin doing so. -- mikeblas (talk) 18:01, 10 October 2025 (UTC)
