Jersey legal system pages (references and see alsos)

Thank you for the work you are doing on pages relating to the legal system in Jersey. Could I make a couple of suggestions relating to Wikipedia style ↗?
Thanks. <big><span style="color:black; font-family:Times;">'''D'''''avid'''''W'''''ard''</span></big> talk ↗ 10:32, 7 August 2011 (UTC)

Deprod of List of laws of Jersey ↗

I have removed the {{tl|prod}} tag from List of laws of Jersey ↗, which you proposed for deletion, because its deletion has previously been contested or viewed as controversial. Proposed deletion ↗ is not for controversial deletions. For this reason, it is best not to propose deletion of articles that have previously been de-{{tl|prod}}ed, even by the article creator, or which have previously been listed on Wikipedia:Articles for deletion ↗. If you still think the article should be deleted, please don't add the {{tl|prod}} template back to the article, but feel free to list it at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion ↗. Thanks! <!-- Template:Deprod-reprod ↗ --> Maethordaer (talk) 13:35, 30 August 2011 (UTC)

Nomination of Bob Hill (Jersey politician) ↗ for deletion

<div class="floatleft" style="margin-bottom:0">42px|alt=|link= ↗</div>A discussion is taking place as to whether the article '''Bob Hill (Jersey politician) ↗''' is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines ↗ or whether it should be deleted ↗.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Bob Hill (Jersey politician) ↗ until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on good quality evidence, and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. Gaijin42 (talk) 20:48, 20 October 2011 (UTC)

ArbCom elections are now open! ↗

Hi,<br>
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election ↗. The Arbitration Committee ↗ is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process ↗. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans ↗, topic bans ↗, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy ↗ describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements ↗ and submit your choices on the voting page ↗. 25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Thank you for your contributions ↗ to Wikipedia. Regarding your recent edits to :Stephen Oliver (judge) ↗ when you modified the page, you introduced {{cl|Unknown parameters|unknown parameters}}. Just because you specify {{para|some_param|{{var|some_variable}}}} does not always mean that variable will display. The {{para|some_param}} must be defined in the template. You can look at the documentation for the template you are using but it is also helpful to use the preview ↗ button before you save your edit; this helps you find any errors you have made and ensure that the values you have added are displaying correctly. Below the edit box is a '''Show preview''' button. Pressing this will show you what the page will look like without actually saving it. It is strongly recommended that you use this before saving. Note I have likely fixed the error by now so check the history ↗ of the page to see how it was fixed. If you have any questions, contact the help desk ↗ for assistance.

25px ↗ Your edits are becoming disruptive. You have been warned multiple times about the need to use preview ↗ to check your edits, yet you continue to introduce {{cl|unknown parameters|unknown parameters}} into articles. You did this again at :Catherine Curtis ↗ when you modified the page. Please understand that while you may not find these edits a problem, they do cause issues for those attempting to clean up pages and prevent vandalism. Please respond to this message ↗ and acknowledge that you better monitor your edits moving forward. <!-- User:Zackmann08/uw/Thumb-Warning --> '''<span style="color:#00d5ff">Zack</span><span style="color:#007F94">mann</span>''' (Talk to me ↗/<span style="color:orange">What I been doing</span> ↗) 01:52, 10 July 2026 (UTC)

25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Your editing is becoming disruptive ↗ due to your failure to heed the multiple warnings that have been given. Please understand that one of the '''requirements''' for editing on Wikipedia is communicating ↗ with fellow editors. While you are not required to respond to every comment on your talk page, failure to respond to any of the '''multiple''' warnings, or to heed the advice that has been given, indicates an intentional failure to communicate. Please '''respond to this message''' and acknowledge that you understand that communication is required. Additionally please ensure that you have read the multiple warnings that have been given to you on your talk page. Failure to communicate may result in you being blocked from editing. :I’m sorry if i’ve done something wrong — I do use preview, and don’t yet understand what an “unknown parameter is”! Andrew Le Sueur (talk) 14:37, 10 July 2026 (UTC)
:Thank you. I have now read the earlier messages and checked the relevant diffs. I understand that an “unknown parameter” is a field that is not defined for the particular infobox template, so it may not display and may place the article in a hidden tracking category.
:<nowiki>I had been using preview, but I did not appreciate that this problem might not be apparent from the rendered preview. I will check the documentation for the particular template and use only recognised parameters before saving future infobox edits. Thank you for correcting the affected pages. ~~~~</nowiki> Andrew Le Sueur (talk) 14:51, 10 July 2026 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Kevin C. Lewis ↗, a link pointing to the disambiguation page Connétable ↗ was added.
