25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Hello, and thank you for your efforts to improve Wikipedia, and in particular for adding references, as you did to Bridge over Saint Volodymyr Descent ↗! However, adding a bare URL ↗ is not ideal, and exposes the reference to link rot ↗. It is preferable to use proper citation templates ↗ when citing sources ↗, including details such as title, author, date, and any other information necessary for a bibliographic citation ↗. Here's an example of a full citation using the {{tl|cite web}} template to cite a web page:
: <code><nowiki>Lorem ipsum<ref>{{cite web |title=Download the Scanning Software - Windows and Mac |publisher=Canon Inc |work=Ask a Question |date=2022 |url=https://support.usa.canon.com/kb/index?page=content&id=ART174839 |access-date=2022-04-02}}</ref> dolor sit amet.</nowiki></code>
which displays ''inline ↗'' in the running text of the article as:
:Lorem ipsum{{fake ref|1}} dolor sit amet.
and displays under '''References''' as:
: 1. ^ Download the Scanning Software - Windows and Mac ↗". ''Ask a Question''. Canon Inc. 2022. Retrieved 2022-04-02.
If you've already added one or more bare URLs to an article, there are tools available to expand them into full citations; try the reFill tool ↗, which can resolve some bare references semi-automatically.
Thank you, @Anon13131313, for your contributions! <!-- Template:Uw-bareurl --> <span style="white-space: nowrap;">– <small>'''<span style="color: #000;">Primium</span>''' (talk)</small></span> 20:16, 20 May 2024 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for December 29

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited List of AvtoVAZ vehicles ↗, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Sedan ↗ and Roadster ↗. Such links are usually incorrect ↗, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. <small>(Read the FAQ{{*}} Join us at the DPL WikiProject ↗.)</small>

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, --DPL bot (talk) 19:54, 29 December 2024 (UTC)

The Arbitration Committee ↗ is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process ↗. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans ↗, topic bans ↗, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy ↗ describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2025 election, please review the candidates ↗ and submit your choices on the '''2025|poll}}|voting page ↗'''. Horsepower/л.с.

Just wanted to make you aware that a metric horsepower ↗ (PS, л.с., etcetera) is not the same as a US/UK horsepower. A horsepower in metric countries is 735W, whereas the imperial/customary horsepower is 746W. It's a minor difference, but it often causes confusion. To distinguish the two, in English WP we usually write "PS" when we are discussing metric hp; "hp" is only for British and American cars. I recommend using a conversion template, like below:

When you use a Russian reference and write 118hp, some other editor is almost certain to change it to {{cvt|118|hp|kW|0}}, which is actually 120л.с. Labelling it "PS" removes the risk of future editors making it wrong. Please reach out with any questions.
