Problems with upload of File:DragwYkX0AEUJst.jpg

We require this information to verify that the image is legally usable on Wikipedia, and because most image licenses require giving credit to the image's creator.

Non-free rationale for File:Moonbird Still.png

64px|left|alt=|link= ↗
Thanks for uploading or contributing to ''':File:Moonbird Still.png ↗'''. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria ↗, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page ↗, and edit it to include a non-free rationale ↗.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions ↗" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F6 of the criteria for speedy deletion ↗. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion ↗ and ask for a chance to fix the problem.<!-- Template:You can request undeletion --> If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page ↗. Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Tender Game Still.jpeg

National Historic Site (United States) ↗

Hey, thanks so much for your contributions to this page! I had written most of the rest, there's just too many to keep going consistently! Eventually I'd like to bring it to WP:FLC ↗ (similar to List of national monuments of the United States ↗, List of national memorials of the United States ↗, and others I've written), so if you'd like to continue helping with this I'd be glad to go in on that as co-contributors! Reywas92Talk 02:53, 18 June 2023 (UTC)

:Thank you for your kind words. I would be happy to work as a co-contributor with you! BakedintheHole (talk) 03:37, 23 June 2023 (UTC)
::Wow thanks for finishing all those up so quickly! You're very efficient at writing these, they always take me a while because I want to read the whole article and NPS site and map and whatnot. I'll shift to working on writing a broader overview and history using some of the sources in the other lists and get it to FLC soon. Reywas92Talk 22:20, 4 July 2023 (UTC)
:::thank you! There are a few I didn't write that I might go in and tweak a bit, but at least for now there's something there for them all! BakedintheHole (talk) 22:36, 4 July 2023 (UTC)

Ninja Turtle marker number

I don't see anywhere in the AEA post ↗ that says that the marker is numbered 290. (I also found the WMUR story's video on YouTube ↗ and it's not mentioned or shown there either.) I wouldn't be concerned about this if it weren't for the fact that the information that NH gives for the presumed 289th marker is ambiguous, meaning that that number might actually apply to the Ninja Turtle marker, not 290. The official list still stops at 288. Right now there's no RS that says that this marker is number 290. Mapsax (talk) 02:50, 14 November 2023 (UTC)

:You are correct! My apologies. Today it was updated as #289. Thank you! BakedintheHole (talk) 00:21, 15 November 2023 (UTC)
::No problem. Sorry to be a wet blanket for something fun like this. (I've never been a big Turtles fan since I was just a little older than their target audience when they first hit big, but still I'm impressed by the inclusion of the manhole.) I just corrected the number on the description of your new photo on Commons ↗ (that was easy to overlook, I know). Mapsax (talk) 01:01, 16 November 2023 (UTC)

Introduction to contentious topics

{{ivmbox | image = Commons-emblem-notice.svg |imagesize=50px | bg = #E5F8FF | text = You have recently edited a page related to '''post-1992 politics of the United States and closely related people''', a topic designated as '''''contentious ↗'''''. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and <em>does <strong>not</strong> imply that there are any issues with your editing</em>.

A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as ''contentious topics''. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee ↗. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators ↗ have an expanded level of powers and discretion in order to reduce disruption to the project.

Within contentious topics, editors should edit <strong>carefully and constructively</strong>, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:

<p>Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics ''procedures'', you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard ↗ or you may learn more about this contentious topic here ↗. 25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Hello, I'm Doc Strange, and welcome to Wikipedia ↗. I appreciate your contributions ↗, but in one of your recent edits&nbsp;to :List of Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees ↗, it appears that you added original research ↗, which is against Wikipedia's policies. Original research refers to material—such as facts, allegations, ideas, and personal experiences—for which no reliable, published sources exist; it also encompasses combining published sources ↗ in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source ↗ for all of your contributions. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources ↗. ''Specifically, the section you added has a lot of improperly cited claims. Some are incomplete - Phil Spector ↗ was not the only convinced murderer in the Hall, Little Willie John ↗ died in prison serving a manslaughter sentence, and Willie Nelson ↗ was older than Carole King ↗ when he was inducted. Furthermore you need to be careful about Synthesis of published material ↗ and original research ↗. For instance, the section about Lead Belly ↗ and Jelly Roll Morton ↗, the sources don't mention the Rock Hall at all. I've removed the entire section, not necessarily because there were no sources, but because many of them seemed like original research that do not specifically mention those facts in relation to the Rock Hall. If you found a reliable source ↗ that mentions this information in conjunction with the Rock Hall perhaps that would be fine. But you also need to make sure that your section doesn't read like a trivia section ↗. Lastly, the placement of the section was not optimal - It separated an introduction to the list of multiple inductees from the actual list.''<!-- Template:uw-nor1 --> '''Doc Strange''' (talk) 20:16, 17 April 2026 (UTC)

:Thanks, Doc! I have some sources I can add, but before doing so, do you have any recommendation for what I should name the section? I went with “other notable achievements” just because it seemed generic enough. What do you think might be better? BakedintheHole (talk) 00:55, 18 April 2026 (UTC)

:: I actually don't know if such a section works on the page. You'll have to read WP:TRIVIA ↗ and WP:HTRIV ↗ to see if it really fits or if a section like that is discouraged by Wikipedia. And the sources should probably say "such and such was the oldest living inductee in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame when they were inducted in 2009" instead of just "such and such was this age in 2009" or whatever it would be. That's the issue with the Morton/Lead Belly sources: All they did was talk about their probable ages, and it was disconnected from the Hall of Fame. Not specifically mentioning the Hall in that instance might count as synthesis ↗. '''Doc Strange''' (talk) 02:01, 18 April 2026 (UTC)
:::Perhaps something to the effect of “notable firsts” for people like Kuti, Ertegun, etc.? BakedintheHole (talk) 02:14, 18 April 2026 (UTC)
:::: That might work, but only if you can find sources that specifically say they are the first in the Hall of Fame, and that it's correct, complete, and up to date. '''Doc Strange''' (talk) 19:54, 19 April 2026 (UTC)

Super minor comment

Hello BakedintheHole, I hope you're doing well 🙂 I just reviewed (and approved!) your new article for Hank Williams Boyhood Home & Museum ↗; it's very well made! I just wanted to ask that you be cautious when copying over header and infobox templates from similar articles. I think everyone does this (including myself lol) as it speeds up the early work so you can get to writing prose, but I noticed odd templates like {Use British English} and "|region:US-IN" that wouldn't belong on an Alabama article. That's all! Happy editing and thank you for all the work you do here. Cheers! '''<span style="color:orange;">Johnson</span>''''''<span style="color:blue;">524</span>''' 17:25, 22 May 2026 (UTC)

:Thanks for the tip, wikipal! I also wrote an article earlier today for the Little Richard House and Research Center ↗ if you have more appetite for historic homes of musicians that need approval. BakedintheHole (talk) 17:37, 22 May 2026 (UTC)
::{{Done}} That one checks out as well! Thank you for all your quality work; cheers from North Carolina! 😀 '''<span style="color:orange;">Johnson</span>''''''<span style="color:blue;">524</span>''' 18:59, 22 May 2026 (UTC)

:::I know that you are big on categories, I just created a pretty long new article ↗ and would greatly appreciate your help categorizing it up! BakedintheHole (talk) 16:21, 12 June 2026 (UTC)
::::Wow, thank you for your work! I might be able to help on it later, but I'm leaving for a week-ish long trip today, so in the meantime I've marked the article as uncategorized. If it's not too much to ask, could you create a talk page with WikiProjects for the article? Thank you again, and cheers!
