Water scarcity in Nigeria ↗ moved to draftspace

Thanks for your contributions to Water scarcity in Nigeria ↗. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because '''it needs more sources to establish notability'''.
I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page ↗.
When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Significa liberdade <small>(she/her)</small> (talk) 16:48, 7 August 2024 (UTC)

Category:OSUN W4HRN

What is the purpose of :Category:OSUN W4HRN ↗? Its name tells me nothing, the category page has no meaningful text, and the only article in that category (Akinwumi Adesina ↗) does not mention OSUN W4HRN at all. Also, you've put the category inside itself, which should not be done: categories should be put in other relevant categories. See WP:CREATECAT ↗. --<span style="color:#a80000; background:#ffeeee; text-decoration:inherit">Red</span>rose64 &#x1f339; (talk) 18:52, 26 August 2024 (UTC)

::First, you should remove the article from the category: you do this by undoing {{diff|Akinwumi Adesina|prev|1241140647|this edit}}. Speedy deletion ↗ nomination of :YAHAYA, Alh Gusau ↗

48px|left|alt=|link= ↗
{{Quote box|quote=<p>If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article ↗.</p><p>You may want to consider using the Article Wizard ↗ to help you create articles.</p>|width=20%|align=right}}
A tag has been placed on :YAHAYA, Alh Gusau ↗ requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion ↗, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement ↗. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://blerf.org/index.php/biography/alhaji-yahaya-gusau-obe-ofr-cfr/<nowiki> </nowiki>and Very close paraphrasing throughout. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of ''information'', but not as a source of ''sentences''. This part is crucial: ''say it in your own words''. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators '''will be blocked from editing ↗'''.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you ''must'' verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials ↗. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission ↗ for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy ↗ for more details, or ask a question here ↗.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may '''contest the nomination''' by visiting the page ↗ and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines ↗. <!-- Template:Db-copyvio-notice --><!-- Template:Db-csd-notice-custom --> Fram (talk) 15:11, 28 August 2024 (UTC)

-->&nbsp;The comment the reviewer left was:

{{divbox|blue|3=Well done on creating the draft, and it ''may'' potentially meet the relevant requirements (including WP:GNG ↗, WP:ANYBIO ↗, WP:NPROF ↗) but presently it is not clear that it does.
As other reviewers have noted, Wikipedia's basic requirement for entry is that the subject is '''''notable'''''. Essentially subjects are presumed ''notable'' if they have received significant coverage in ''multiple published'' {{strong|secondary sources ↗}} that are {{strong|reliable ↗}}, ''intellectually independent'' of each other, and {{strong|independent of the subject ↗}}. To properly create such a draft page, please see the articles ‘Your First Article’ ↗, ‘Referencing for Beginners’ ↗ and ‘Easier Referencing for Beginners’ ↗. In short, ''"notability"'' requires reliable sources ''about'' the subject, rather than ''by'' the subject.
The images used likely breach copyright, which Wikipedia takes seriously ↗, so should be removed unless clear evidence of their legal use is provided. It seems highly unlikely that they are the draft's author's "Own work", unless the author is also a professional photographer, but no such evidence has been provided.
Please note that many of the references would appear to be from sources that are NOT considered {{strong|reliable ↗}} for establishing notability and should be removed (including blogs, company websites, press releases, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, Spotify etc).
Please note that many of the references are not formatted correctly (see Introduction to referencing with VisualEditor ↗ and Wikipedia’s Manual of Style ↗ for help).
Additionally, the draft tends to read too much like a promotional CV, which Wikipedia is not ↗; and contains prose, writing and spelling errors that are not of a standard appropriate for an encyclopaedia (also see WP:PEACOCK ↗).
The draft does not appear to show that the subject has any notability beyond the average coverage in trade publications for similar academics (see WP:ROTM ↗).
Thank you for declaring your conflict of interest ↗.
Please familiarise yourself with these pages before amending the draft. If you feel you can meet these requirements, then please make the necessary amendments before resubmitting the page. It would help our volunteer reviewers by identifying, on the draft's talk page ↗, the WP:THREE ↗ best sources that establish notability ↗ of the subject.
It would also be helpful if you could please identify ''with specificity'', exactly which criteria you believe the page meets (eg "I think the page now meets WP:NPROF criteria #3, because XXXXX").
Once you have implemented these suggestions, you may also wish to leave a note for me on my talk page, including the name of the draft page, and I would be happy to reassess.}} Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. Invitation to participate in user research with Wikimedia Foundation

Hello,

My name is Jahnavi ↗ and I am a design researcher at the Wikimedia Foundation (WMF). The Language and Product Localization Team is conducting a study ↗ on how editors create new articles or add new sections to existing articles on Wikipedia. We’d also like you to explore some design concepts and provide feedback. Based on your experience, we believe you would be a valuable participant in this study and would like to invite you to take part in an interview to share your insights on creating new sections or articles on Wikipedia.

This study is taking place between 23rd Sept - 6th Oct. The interview lasts about 75 minutes and is conducted remotely over Google Meet in English. Please note that you would be required to share your screen to demonstrate your process and explore the design concepts. We can provide live interpretation into your preferred language upon request. We are pleased to offer a digital thank you gift through our partner service, Tremendous ↗, for completing the interview.

If you would like to participate in an interview, please complete this short form ↗. I will contact you using the email you provide in the form with instructions on how to participate.

If you have any questions or concerns about this research, please feel free to ask me. I look forward to hearing from you,

Jahnavi MJahnavi-WMF (talk) 13:15, 22 September 2025 (UTC)

Audios

Hello! Just wanted to say that I am grateful for your many contributions to the Wikipedia project. I do want to say though that your addition of audios for names that are spelled phonetically is rather redundant, especially if the audio isn't clear. I ask that you consider adding the English IPA ↗ pronunciations instead! For example, Karim David Adeyemi becomes ({{IPAc-en|k|ə|ˈ|r|iː|m}} {{respell|kuh|REEM}}{{IPAc-en|ˈ|d|ɛ|v|ɪ|d}}{{respell|DEH|vid}} {{IPAc-en|ˌ|ɑː|d|ɛ|ˈ|j|ɛ|m|i}} {{respell|ah|deh|YEH|mee}}). This makes it clearer and easier for wider audiences to understand. Let me know if you'd like to further discuss this. Cheers, Foxxeil (talk) 05:17, 31 December 2025 (UTC)

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you read this, you can '''request its undeletion''' ↗. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the draft so you can continue to work on it.

25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Thank you for your contributions ↗ to Wikipedia. Regarding your recent edits to :Al-Hikmah University ↗ when you modified the page, you introduced {{cl|Unknown parameters|unknown parameters}}. Just because you specify {{para|some_param|{{var|some_variable}}}} does not always mean that variable will display. The {{para|some_param}} must be defined in the template. You can look at the documentation for the template you are using but it is also helpful to use the preview ↗ button before you save your edit; this helps you find any errors you have made and ensure that the values you have added are displaying correctly. Below the edit box is a '''Show preview''' button. Pressing this will show you what the page will look like without actually saving it. It is strongly recommended that you use this before saving. Note I have likely fixed the error by now so check the history ↗ of the page to see how it was fixed. If you have any questions, contact the help desk ↗ for assistance.

And FYI, you must not allow anyone else to log into your user account, nor may you log into another user's account. So if your excuse is that you were sharing logins with others, this is in itself a problem. DoubleGrazing (talk) 08:35, 7 July 2026 (UTC)

|1=I respectfully request that my block be reviewed.

I understand the importance of enforcing Wikipedia's policies against sockpuppetry and block evasion, and I support those efforts.

My block appears to be related to my logging into another user's account on my device. That account had already been blocked. Later, another friend's account was also logged into on the same device and was subsequently blocked before any edits were made.

I now understand that logging into multiple accounts on the same device can create the appearance of account connections, even when the accounts belong to different people. I will not log into another person's Wikipedia account on my device again.

I respectfully ask that my account be evaluated based on my own editing history and conduct. I have always intended to contribute in good faith, and I am willing to follow all English Wikipedia policies going forward.

If any additional information is needed, I will gladly provide it. Thank you for taking the time to consider my appeal.
