A tag has been placed on :Jan Janszoon Struys ↗ requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion ↗, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people that does not credibly indicate ↗ how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may '''contest the nomination''' by visiting the page ↗ and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". Nick Khan

Hi Binary, Hope you're well. It was a case of great minds thinking a like on the Nick Khan front. I'd been working on the draft this afternoon too, following the recent TKO announcements and Netflix deal. I archived all my sources from the Wayback Machine, and used notable WP:RSP sources. I edit my drafts in my Sandbox, and copy and paste them to a Notepad document before publishing them. I can show you this if you like. I didn't clock your draft until I was publishing mine, and if anything I helped further as yours was taken back to draft space due to a lack of sourcing. No offence. Please don't think I've copied you. Nick Khan has had some relatively high-profile clients including Ariel Helwani (that's worth noting, but no sources mention in it in text, so we'd need to source a video). Mechanical Elephant (talk) 01:31, 25 January 2024 (UTC)
:{{u|Mechanical Elephant}}, no hard feelings. I would advice avoiding wrestling sites as most of them are dodgy, even Fightful and Observer. BinaryBrainBug (talk) 09:41, 25 January 2024 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Bryan Keith (wrestler) ↗, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Booker T ↗. Such links are usually incorrect ↗, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. <small>(Read the FAQ{{*}} Join us at the DPL WikiProject ↗.)</small>

Hi. Since you didn't reply to https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Professional_wrestling&diff=prev&oldid=1284392836 ↗, I write here: As long as you follow WP:PW/MOS ↗ (e.g. for wrestlers WP:PW/BIO ↗ and WP:PW/CAREER ↗), your removal/trimming will be fine. To make your own work easier, it is better to write a "crystal clear" edit summary: "I removed this per WP:PW/CAREER", "Non-notable matches", "Fancruft or excessive details", and etc. Also, if the content is legit but the source or wording is unreliable or not good, don't remove it. Just cite a reliable source per WP:PW/RS ↗ or reword, copy-edit, or summarize it. That's all. Good luck! --Mann Mann (talk) 03:47, 11 April 2025 (UTC)

Investigative journalist

Hi BinaryBrainBug. Regarding your edit here https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Karl_Jobst&diff=1359377607&oldid=1359309320 ↗, I'm not interested in contesting the edit itself as I really don't think the matter is important, however, please be aware that as per WP:SELFCITE ↗, there is no blanket rule against citing an article you wrote yourself, so while the case could indeed be made that my source should not be used, your edit summary alone provided insufficient justification to remove it. I can also assure you the statement was not circular and was reached after hours of research to write the article. Reading my article would demonstrate I consulted many sources to reach many conclusions. If you choose not to assume good faith ↗ you would at least need strong evidence to back up such an accusation to remove it on those grounds.

Incidentally I wasn't planning on adding the source to the Jobst article, I only did so after you removed the existing source about him being a journalist and Google results literally showed my source as the top article result for searching "Karl Jobst" alongside "Investigative journalist". Incidentally, while it's certainly more desirable to cite secondary sources on Wikipedia, there's also no rule that citing the subject themselves is 'embarrassing' https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Karl_Jobst&diff=next&oldid=1359304502 ↗ and must be removed. In retrospect it is correct this source should not be used to say he is an investigated journalist as a straight fact (and whoever added it formatted it in an unacceptable way by citing the book Jobst referred to in the video, rather than the video itself), but it would be perfectly acceptable to use this source to say he ''describes himself'' as an investigative journalist. Same rule applies to the other source I added alongside my own. Anyway, I didn't revert you as I don't think it's important enough to get in a dispute over, I'd just appreciate it if you didn't make accusations about writing being circular in the future without evidence. Have a nice day. Damien Linnane (talk) 06:57, 15 June 2026 (UTC)
