Welcome ↗ to Wikipedia! I hope you enjoy the encyclopaedia and want to stay ↗. Before getting too in-depth, you may want to read about the simplified ruleset ↗. If you need help on how to title new articles check out the naming conventions ↗, and for help on formatting the pages visit the manual of style ↗. If you need help look at Wikipedia:Help ↗ and the FAQ ↗; plus, if you can't find your answer there, check the Village Pump ↗ (for Wikipedia related questions) or the Reference Desk ↗ (for general questions). There's still more help at the Tutorial ↗ and Policy Library ↗. Also, don't forget to visit the Community Portal ↗. And if you have any more questions after that, feel free to post them on my user talk page.

====Additional tips====
Here are some extra tips to help you get around in Wikipedia:
- If you want to play around with your new Wiki skills the Sandbox ↗ is for you.
- You can sign your name using three tildes (~). If you use four, you can add a datestamp too.
- If you ever think a page or image should be deleted, please list it at the votes for deletion ↗ page. There is also a votes for undeletion ↗ page if you want to retrieve something that you think should not have been deleted.
- If you're still entirely confused, or would like to get a better grasp of your wikipedia skills, and you have an IRC ↗ client (or don't mind getting one), check out the Bootcamp ↗. It's not what it sounds like, but it is fun and can help you with your editing skills.

AfD ↗ nomination of Cold Y Generation
left|48px| ↗An editor has nominated Cold Y Generation ↗, an article which you have created or worked on, for deletion ↗. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not ↗").
Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at {{#if: | Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/{{{2}}} ↗ | Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Cold Y Generation ↗ }} and please be sure to sign your comments ↗ with four tildes (<nowiki>~~~~</nowiki>).
You may also edit the article during the discussion to address the nominator's concerns but should not remove the articles for deletion ↗ template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. --Law Lord (talk) 02:03, 28 August 2009 (UTC)
Clarification on Template:Canadian federal election, 2011A
Your edit to the aformentioned template, which I assume was done in good faith, has been reversed by User:117Avenue. As I was the original contributor of the edits you changed, and your changes seem to have come from confusion surrounding the policy regarding the template, I thought I should write something here to explain it to you. Simply put, there is no policy in place that bars any political party from being listed in the template, no matter what their seat count is or how much of the popular vote they received. All parties are to be listed, but to be listed they should have an article listing the candidates they are running in the election, which only the Communists, out of all the minor parties, currently have. To quote User:117Avenue: "navboxes link to all related pages, when the other parties have candidate articles, they will be added too". I hope this has help made this clear to you. I appreciate your attempts to improve the template, but please keep this in mind when conducting future edits. Comrade Hamish Wilson (talk) 09:35, 3 April 2011 (UTC)

Redirects
I just created the election redirects you requested at WP:AFC/R ↗. Was there a reason for you not to create them yourself? Huon (talk) 12:32, 10 August 2012 (UTC)
: I'd never made a redirect before and I thought that the procedure was for it to be reviewed by another editor first.theBOBbobato (talk) 17:04, 10 August 2012 (UTC)
::While you can go that route, there's no need, except for unregistered and very newly registered editors who cannot create articles - be bold! ↗ Redirects are cheap anyway, so there's no harm in accidentally creating more than we need. Huon (talk) 17:54, 10 August 2012 (UTC)

Invitation from Wikimedia Portugal
alt=|right|frameless ↗
(English below)
Hi! '''Wikimedia Portugal ↗''' is the Portuguese chapter of Wikimedia, founded in 2009 and recognized by the Wikimedia Foundation. Our mission is to contribute to the general dissemination of knowledge and culture through the incentive to the collection and creation of content without restrictions on use, modification and distribution, and promote their difusion; we promote and support the Wikimedia Foundation projects, among which Wikipedia, with emphasis on projects in Portuguese and Mirandese ↗.
We would like however to count on the support of (and in turn ourselves support) all volunteers that are citizens, resident, or simply interested in Portugal. Despite being founded in 2009, the chapter has gone through a long period of inactivity that we are trying to overcome. We have sent you this message to invite you, if you are interested, to enroll ↗ as associate to the chapter, demonstrate your support ↗ to the existence of a chapter in Portugal, and get involved in the discussion of future activities by registering in the mailing list ↗. Recentely, the Wikimedia Affiliations Committee suspended support to Wikimedia Portugal pending, among other things, the support from the community of portuguese editors. https://lists.wikimedia.org/mailman/private/wikimediapt/2018-July/002625.html ↗ GoEThe (talk) 14:14, 2 August 2018 (UTC)

Edit summaries?
Hi! I reverted your edit at https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Fair_Fight_Action&diff=prev&oldid=1205159944 because the change didn't match what the source said. Just wanted to note that I'm open to more precise phrasing there, but it should go with adding a better citation as well. Also, in your edits over the past couple days, I don't see any edit summaries. Can you please include summaries to explain your intention in making changes? It looks like you're trying to make instances of "Anglo-Saxon" more specific, which is reasonable, but it's not so obvious that it doesn't need an explanation; see Wikipedia:FIES ↗. Thank you!
