Over-linking

:although the page you linked seems to provide relatively clear examples, the lack of consistency (to say the least) across the site stands in stark contract to the aforementioned, therefore making it difficult at best to determine what is and isn't overlinking (to say nothing of the fact that making multiple edits at a time seems to qualify as well)
:obviously Wikipedia is a large site. there are many, many articles, and it would be very hard to keep them format/syntax/etc consistent, even without the nature of the site being crowdsourced edits. that said, in my opinion, the vast majority of the time links are useful for those reading the page, as I would guess a large percentage (if not the majority) of the views on the majority of pages are from people who are not experts in whatever they happen to be reading about. also, it's just plain annoying; new editors spend a lot of time on our edits (if only due to inexperience with the site), and I'd wager most of us feel like we are helping, so when our edits are thrown away for what seems like triviality at best adn pedantic snobbish hypocrisy at worst, it discourages us and scares us off. I don't know what to do about this, and obviously I'm not blaming you or users like you: like I said, it's probably just due to the nature of the site. just my two cents, or something.
