UFL players
Hey thanks for your work with football players. I was wondering, would you consider working on UFL players for instance Marvin Moody? There are a few who need articles. ~'''''<span style="color: #F90000;">EDDY</span>'' (<span style="color: Green;">talk</span>/<span style="color: Green;">contribs</span> ↗)'''~ 22:25, 23 April 2026 (UTC)

::A good place to start would be 2025 UFL season#Signees to the NFL ↗. Unifinished articles
Hey Butters, just wondering if you're gonna finish all those two-sentence stubs you started yesterday before creating new ones? That would be nice. JTtheOG (talk) 20:33, 26 April 2026 (UTC)
:Yep, will do! Butters (talk) 20:34, 26 April 2026 (UTC)
::Thank you, there should be ample sources now that the draft dust has settled. JTtheOG (talk) 20:46, 26 April 2026 (UTC)
Tyler Duzansky ↗ moved to draftspace
Thanks for your contributions to Tyler Duzansky ↗. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing as a live article at this time because '''it needs more sources to establish notability'''.
I have converted it to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.
Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page ↗.
When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit the draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. JTtheOG (talk) 19:24, 8 May 2026 (UTC)
Unsourced birthplaces and refbombing
Hi Butters. I was wondering where you got the birthplaces for Laith Marjan ↗, Garrison Grimes ↗, Gabriel Plascencia ↗, Khalil Dinkins ↗, Elijah Tau-Tolliver ↗, Cortez Braham ↗, Cole Brevard ↗, Omari Evans ↗, Wesley Bissainthe ↗, Darryl Peterson III ↗, West Weeks ↗, Lincoln Pare ↗, Mitchell Melton (American football) ↗, and Austin Brown (American football) ↗? I hope you're not using college bio hometowns again. Also, please stop WP:REFBOMB ↗ing a sentence with four or five references. It makes it very hard for people to find which source verifies which statement. Thank you, JTtheOG (talk) 19:43, 9 May 2026 (UTC)
:Got I was getting them from sources like ESPN and The Beast on the athletic. Butters (talk) 19:52, 9 May 2026 (UTC)
::ESPN database is not reliable for birthplaces. If you use The Beast, then cite it. Thank you, JTtheOG (talk) 20:03, 9 May 2026 (UTC)
:::Got it sounds good. Butters (talk) 20:04, 9 May 2026 (UTC)
::::Jaden Nixon ↗'s birthplace is given in not one but two of his college bios as being Dallas, not Irving. JTtheOG (talk) 20:08, 9 May 2026 (UTC)

Constant reoccurring issues
Hi Butters. I'm doing a cleanup of articles created since May, since that's where I last left off. I've gathered a few observations here from May and some June articles, many of which have been brought to your attention before:
- As always, please watch your spelling and grammar.
- * {{tq|After the conclusion 2023 season,}} was one of the first sentences I read.
- * There's lots of careless mistakes like: {{tq|In week seven of the 2023 season, he made his first season for the Thundering Herd}}, {{tq|before his he broke his leg}}, or {{tq|he notched the tackles and two interceptions}}
- * {{tq|During his high school career, he did not play any high school sports.}} This makes no sense. How did he have a high school career if he didn't play any sports? I would generally avoid saying "high school career" anyways, unless you're saying something about their cumulative high school stats.
- * {{tq|Ross finished the 2025 season, totaling 53 receptions for 543 yards and two touchdowns.}} I notice you do this a lot too, but it sounds very awkward because no need for a comma there. "Ross finished the 2025 seasons with 53 receptions" sounds infinitely better.
- * Other examples include: {{tq|He finished the 2024 season, appearing in all 16 games...}}
- * {{tq|He entered the 2025 season, as a starter in the Volunteers secondary.}} Not sure why this requires a comma.
- Reminding you to use a hyphen to join two words serving as a single adjective before a noun, such as "season-ending injury" or "five-star recruit".
- * In one article, you wrote {{tq|During his three-years at East Central}}. This is incorrect because "three years" is not followed by a noun. Other incorrect uses include: {{tq|He intercepted a pass which he returned 85-yards for a touchdown}} or {{tq|In his first three-seasons from 2022 through 2024}}
- Reminding you to avoid run-on sentences: {{tq|In his lone season with the Dukes in 2024, he hauled in 37 receptions for 443 yards and three touchdowns, where after the conclusion of the season, he once again entered the NCAA transfer portal.}} You seem to be especially fond of using "where" after a comma, but most of the time if should just be broken into a different sentence.
- * {{tq|He finished his breakout 2025 season, making seven starts before suffering a season-ending injury against UConn, finishing the season throwing for 1,294 yards with nine touchdowns and five interceptions, while also adding 922 yards and 13 touchdowns on the ground.}} Clunky.. no need to say "finished" twice.
- Again, this has already been brought to your attention as early as 2023 by Jweiss11, but avoid using the subjunctive mood ↗ "would", as per WP:WOULD ↗. Examples of your inappropriate use include:
- * {{tq|He would miss the entirety of the 2020 season}}
- * {{tq|Over the next two seasons in 2021 and 2022, Ross would only play in five games}}
- Avoid including tracking parameters (like UTM parameters ↗) at the end of links. See this edit ↗ to see what I mean about unncessary tags.
- There's no need for a piped link for <nowiki>running back ↗</nowiki>
- As per WP:NOTBROKEN ↗, you don't need a piped link for <nowiki>undrafted free agent ↗</nowiki> either. A link to undrafted free agent ↗ is perfectly fine.
- What does {{tq|He entered the 2026 season, in-line to be the Eagles starting quarterback.}} mean?
- Link 247Sports ↗. Like conference names. Also, please say which recruiting service is giving the stars/ranking, as sometimes they differ.
- Avoid linking major countries like United States ↗, as per WP:OVERLINK ↗
- {{tq|the 129th overall player in the State of Florida}} Don't capitalize the "s" in state
- You and I might know what D1 means, but not everyone does. You should write out and link NCAA Division I ↗, at least the first mention.
As with so many issues, you seem to only temporarily fix these problems until people stop noticing before reverting back to your own preferences. I've fixed who-knows-how-many-hundred of these, but you can't keep re-producing these same mistakes over and over again if you're gonna be pumping articles out all summer. It's absolutely exhausting to deal with, and this feels like the second or third time I've sent you a message like this. Tagging {{yo|Jweiss11}}, {{yo|Yankees10}}, {{yo|BeanieFan11}}, {{yo|WikiOriginal-9}}, all of whom have expressed similar concerns in the past, in case they have anything to add. JTtheOG (talk) 22:14, 8 July 2026 (UTC)
:Ok thank you for pointing everything out, and I will use it to improve on my work. Butters (talk) 23:49, 9 July 2026 (UTC)
::Thanks, I hope you do. Some of these are repeating from my last long message back in December (or even longer), but many of those issues have been addressed in your newer articles, so thanks for that. But tbh other times your work can get quite sloppy. Can I ask if there is there a reason for this, if you're comfortable sharing? I feel like I shouldn't have to plead with you every few months to do simple double-checks of your work, but maybe if I had some more context I would understand better. JTtheOG (talk) 01:04, 10 July 2026 (UTC)
:::Yeah I feel like I just get forgetful over time and am not the best with English conventions, but I will try and work on it. Butters (talk) 15:24, 10 July 2026 (UTC)
::::Okay perfect, that makes a lot more sense. I appreciate you sharing that. I feel like I've asked you in the past wether English was your first language, but I don't remember if you answered back then. Either way, please consider my suggestions and take more time to review each article you write before publishing. You should ''always'' prioritize the quality of articles over the quantity. Reading something out loud is always a good strategy to catch writing errors, and it might even help you improve your English skills. Thanks again, JTtheOG (talk) 22:23, 10 July 2026 (UTC)
:I am also noticing verifiability issues. For example, you wrote in the Tyler Nickel ↗ article that he broke a school record. The source ↗ only says he was '''close''' to the record, not that he actually set it. Please be careful. JTtheOG (talk) 02:25, 11 July 2026 (UTC)
