Disambiguation link notification for March 27

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited List of British royal residences ↗, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Charles I ↗ ([//dispenser.info.tm/~dispenser/cgi-bin/dablinks.py/List_of_British_royal_residences check to confirm]&nbsp;|&nbsp;[//dispenser.info.tm/~dispenser/cgi-bin/dab_solver.py/List_of_British_royal_residences?client=notify fix with Dab solver]). Such links are usually incorrect ↗, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. <small>(Read the FAQ{{*}} Join us at the DPL WikiProject ↗.)</small>

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 10:06, 27 March 2020 (UTC)

Attribution and edit summaries

Hi, I have worked out that you have removed a large chunk of the Proposed British Isles fixed sea link connections ↗ article and added it to Irish Sea Bridge ↗. I say 'worked out' because you gave no explanation in your WP:Edit summary ↗ on either article that this was what you were doing. Content moves of this nature can be controversial and sometimes require consensus to be reached, but I'll leave that to others if they think it is required here. But what you also should be doing is acknowledging the editors who added that content to the original article (WP:Copying within Wikipedia ↗), as it was not you who created it although that is what the history at Irish Sea Bridge currently shows. PS I am not one of those editors, so this isn't about me trying to get credit, this is more trying to explain to you the correct way to do these things. I won't be undoing any of your work, but I can't promise others won't, so please try t take care that you are following the correct processes for big actions like this - failing to do so could result in your work being undone which is obviously a big waste of your time. Thanks. Crowsus (talk) 15:06, 30 March 2020 (UTC)

Proposed deletion ↗ of :Scottish National Stadium ↗

left|link=|alt=Notice|48px| ↗

The article :Scottish National Stadium ↗ has been proposed for deletion ↗&#32;because of the following concern:
<blockquote>'''Article seems entirely speculative. WP:V ↗, WP:N ↗. There are existing national stadiums for football (Hampden) and rugby (Murrayfield). There is no prospect of a new stadium being built.'''</blockquote>

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons ↗.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{Tlc|proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary ↗ or on the article's talk page ↗.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{Tlc|proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process ↗, but other deletion process ↗es exist. In particular, the speedy deletion ↗ process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion ↗ allows discussion to reach consensus ↗ for deletion.<!-- Template:Proposed deletion notify --> Jmorrison230582 (talk) 09:05, 22 July 2021 (UTC)

25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Hello, and thank you for your efforts to improve Wikipedia, and in particular for adding references, as you did to St Giles' Cathedral ↗! However, you should know that adding a bare URL ↗ is not ideal, and exposes the reference to linkrot ↗. It is preferable to use proper citation templates ↗ when citing sources ↗. A '''bare URL ↗''' is a URL ↗ cited as a reference ↗ for some information in an article ''without any accompanying information about the linked page.'' In other words, it is just URL copied and pasted into the Wiki text, inserted between <nowiki><ref>...</ref></nowiki> tags, without title, author, date, or ''any'' of the usual information necessary for a bibliographic citation. Here's an example of a full citation using the {{tl|cite web}} template to cite a web page:
: <code><nowiki>Lorem ipsum<ref>{{cite web |title=Download the Scanning Software - Windows and Mac |publisher=Canon Inc |work=Ask a Question |date=2022 |url=https://support.usa.canon.com/kb/index?page=content&id=ART174839 |access-date=2022-04-02}}</ref> dolor sit amet.</nowiki></code>
which displays ''inline ↗'' in the running text of the article as:
:Lorem ipsum{{fake ref|1}} dolor sit amet.
and displays under '''References''' as:
: 1. ^ Download the Scanning Software - Windows and Mac ↗". ''Ask a Question''. Canon Inc. 2022. Retrieved 2022-04-02.
If you've already entered one or more bare urls ↗ to an article, there are tools available to expand them into full citations; try the reFill tool ↗, which can resolve some bare references semi-automatically.
Once again, thanks for adding references to articles, and to avoid future link rot ↗, please consider supplementing your bare URLs—creating full, inline citations with title, author, date, publisher, etc. More information can be found at Wikipedia:Inline citation ↗s. Thank you. <!-- Template:Uw-bareurl --> Dormskirk (talk) 19:18, 27 November 2022 (UTC)

25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Thank you for your contributions ↗ to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from :Lord Chancellor ↗ into :Peerages in the United Kingdom ↗. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing ↗ does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary ↗ at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking ↗ to the copied page, e.g., <code>copied content from <nowiki>page name ↗</nowiki>; see that page's history for attribution</code>. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{tl|copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia ↗. Thank you. <!-- Template:uw-copying --> — Diannaa (talk) 15:10, 30 September 2023 (UTC)

Minor edits (again)

Please stop marking all your edits as minor. The vast majority of them are not minor. For example, adding a category to an article should '''not''' be marked as minor. You have been asked to stop doing this over the course of several years, and continuing to ignore these requests could be seen as disruptive ↗ and lead to you being '''blocked ↗ from editing'''. Please take this seriously. Opolito (talk) 00:07, 28 March 2025 (UTC)
:This edit ↗ is definitely '''not''' minor and should not have been marked as such. Between your persistent mis-labelling of every edit as minor, your mis-categorization of many articles, and your refusal to use edit summaries ↗, this is looking like a deliberate attempt to disrupt ↗ Wikipedia. Please stop. Opolito (talk) 00:46, 28 March 2025 (UTC)
