Questrade

I've removed your help desk thread due to DENY, but I'll inform you that the vandalism at Questrade ↗ has been dealt with. Departure– (talk) 02:12, 12 May 2025 (UTC)

:Argh. Could you clarify what's been vandalized? I can't find it and the Questrade article and talk page haven't been edited recently, but due to the nature of the vandalism, it shouldn't be discussed at the help desk. Departure– (talk) 02:15, 12 May 2025 (UTC)
::@Departure– Noticed the question at the help desk also. The text is ONLY in the app for some reason, trying to see if it's from a template or something... Trim02 (talk) 02:17, 12 May 2025 (UTC)
:::Nothing shows up on related changes. I don't use the app but it might be related to the pages you see at the bottom when viewing the site on mobile (en.m.wikipedia). Departure– (talk) 02:19, 12 May 2025 (UTC)
::It's text below the "External links" section. It's a little weird. Chimneychobga (talk) 02:20, 12 May 2025 (UTC)
:::Could you take a screenshot of where the offending text appears? That might narrow down its exact location.
:::For some background, this is a known vandal that targets numerous pages, and vandalizing pages in which text appears, either through transclusions or short descriptions, seems to be getting more common lately. Departure– (talk) 02:21, 12 May 2025 (UTC)
::::Alright, so the copypasta appears to be vandalized stealthily into several pages by doing a simple search. I'll contact oversight. Departure– (talk) 02:24, 12 May 2025 (UTC)
::::Oh okay, I've got screenshots. How should I send them? Chimneychobga (talk) 02:25, 12 May 2025 (UTC)
:::::My audit on Special:Search found that those pages ''also'' don't have the text appear ''anywhere''. You'd probably be best sending them to WP:OVERSIGHT ↗ - the LTA is known as MAB - link to this talk page conversation. Departure– (talk) 02:26, 12 May 2025 (UTC)
::::::If I'm not mistaken, this is the cache issue which shows up at the help desk under other circumstances - as it appears the search result came from a template, but the revision that contained the copypasta was deleted. This explains why the text doesn't appear in the source editor or anywhere else on related changes. Departure– (talk) 02:28, 12 May 2025 (UTC)
::::::@Departure– I'm 99% sure this is another caching issue, the text disappeared once I purged the page fully. The revs which added the content has probably been suppressed by oversight already Trim02 (talk) 02:29, 12 May 2025 (UTC)
:::::::So should I still send anything to oversight or no? Chimneychobga (talk) 02:32, 12 May 2025 (UTC)
::::::::I think you still should send your screenshots, @Chimneychobga. Since this affecting live pages ''after'' revision deletion in some cases, it's a pretty big issue they'll want to know about. Departure– (talk) 02:34, 12 May 2025 (UTC)
:::::::::Okay 👍 Chimneychobga (talk) 02:35, 12 May 2025 (UTC)
