Blackberry Page

Hello! I'm brand new to Wikipedia editing, but I discovered some plagiarism on the Blackberry page. The entire section under "Plants" comes from this blog post: https://creaseymahannaturepreserve.org/blackberris-vs-raspberries/. I saw in the Talk page that you hosted a Wiki-athon and worked on this page, so I'm thinking it may have come from the newbies. Could you let me know how this should typically be handled by an editor? Thank you! Shaynaalice (talk) 23:08, 9 April 2024 (UTC)

The discussion phase of the October 2024 administrator elections is officially open. As a reminder, the schedule of the election is:

During October 22–24, we will be in the discussion phase. The candidate subpages will open to questions and comments from everyone, in the same style as a request for adminship ↗. You may discuss the candidates at '''Wikipedia:Administrator elections/October 2024/Discussion phase''' ↗.

On October 25, we will start the voting phase. The candidate subpages will close again to public questions and discussion, and everyone will have a week to use the SecurePoll ↗ software to vote, which uses a secret ballot ↗. You can see who voted, but not who they voted for. Please note that the vote tallies cannot be made public until after voting has ended and as such, it will not be possible for you to see an individual candidate's tally during the election. The suffrage requirements ↗ are different from those at RFA.

Once voting concludes, we will begin the scrutineering phase, which will last for an indeterminate amount of time, perhaps a week or two. Once everything is certified, the results will be posted on the main election page ↗. In order to be granted adminship, a candidate must have received at least 70.0% support, calculated as Support / (Support + Oppose). As this is a vote and not a consensus, there are no bureaucrat discussions ↗ ("crat chats").

Any questions or issues can be asked on the election talk page ↗. Thank you for your participation. Happy electing.

Hi Clayoquot, regarding Proposal: Topic ban for EMsmile ↗, could you please use <nowiki>{{Moved discussion from}}</nowiki> ↗ and <nowiki>{{Moved discussion to}}</nowiki> ↗ templates when sub-sectioning discussions for continuity in future. While this usually isn't applicable or necessary when a proposal isn't out-dented, in this case it's a reply to another comment, and it's not clear what the comment was. I remembered seeing this yesterday and intended to add these templates for you, but now the placement has been lost without trawling through the edit history. Could you retrospectively add these, assuming you know where the discussion was split from? CNC (talk) 18:02, 21 January 2025 (UTC)

Administrator Elections - Discussion Phase

<div style="border: 5px solid #ABCDEF ; padding:10px 15px">
<div style="display:flex; align-items:center;">
<div>
The discussion phase of the December 2025 administrator elections is officially open. As a reminder, the schedule of the election is:

We are currently in the discussion phase. The candidate subpages are open to questions and comments from everyone, in the same style as a request for adminship ↗. You may discuss the candidates at '''Wikipedia:Administrator elections/December 2025/Discussion phase''' ↗.

On December 9, we will start the voting phase. The candidate subpages will close to public questions and discussion, and everyone will have a week to use the SecurePoll ↗ software to vote, which uses a secret ballot ↗. You can see who voted, but not who they voted for. Please note that the vote totals cannot be made public until after voting has ended and as such, it will not be possible for you to see an individual candidate's totals during the election. You must be extended confirmed ↗ to vote.

Once voting concludes, we will begin the scrutineering phase, which typically lasts between a couple days and a week. Once everything is certified, the results will be posted on the results page ↗ (you may want to watchlist this page) and transcluded to the main election page ↗. In order to be granted adminship, a candidate who has not been recalled ↗ must have received at least 70.0% support, calculated as Support / (Support + Oppose), and must also have received a minimum of 20 support votes. A candidate that has been recalled must have at least 55.0% support ↗. Because this is a vote and not a consensus, there are no bureaucrat discussions ↗ ("crat chats").

Any questions or issues can be asked on the election talk page ↗. Thank you for your participation. Happy electing.

Wikipedia:Destubathon of the Americas ↗

You are invited to participate in the '''Destubathon of the Americas ↗''', a contest/editathon which will run from May 1 to May 31. The goal is to destub as many of our 475,000+ stubs for the Americas (from Alaska down to Chile) as possible. A good chance to have fun in expanding many of our old stale stubs and win up to £2000 ($2680) in Amazon vouchers for expanding stub articles. Sign up in the Contestants/participants section on the contest page if interested. Even if not interested in prizes you are still warmly welcome to participate in it as an editathon!
