25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Hello, I'm Linguist111. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions ↗&nbsp;to :Germany's Next Topmodel ↗ has been undone because it did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox ↗. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page ↗. Thanks.<!-- Template:uw-vandalism1 --> Linguist111 (talk) 22:18, 15 January 2016 (UTC)

1. Andrea and Anne were not eliminated at the same time, true. But the call-out order is random so the fact they were eliminated separately does not mean Anne placed higher than Andrea. The table has to reflect the contestants' placements: Andrea and Anne placed joint 11th/12th.
2. I put nowrap tags around some names to prevent line breaks.
3. According to the ref I provided, her last name is "Wende". If this is wrong, please provide a reliable source that states otherwise. Linguist111 (talk) 10:07, 16 January 2016 (UTC)

The table does need to reflect placements. The nowrap tags are to prevent line breaks in surnames (for girls who have more than one surname) and first names (for girls who have more than one name e.g. Michelle-Luise, Kim Laura). Linguist111 (talk) 10:20, 16 January 2016 (UTC)

The nowrap tags are to prevent line breaks in names, such as Valerie-Charlotte, Kim Laura and Michelle-Luise. With no nowrap tags in place, Michelle-Luise looked like this: Michelle-

Luise, along with other names. Linguist111 (talk) 10:32, 16 January 2016 (UTC)

P.S. The removal of only one nowrap tag can cause one or more further line breaks, due to the change in width of the column. Linguist111 (talk) 10:34, 16 January 2016 (UTC)

One thing I forgot to add is that the line breaks in the article seen on my computer are different from those seen on my iPad. On the iPad, there are more line breaks. I tried to put the right amount of nowrap tags in so that there were no unnecessary breaks on both computer and iPad. As for reducing the names, I'm not sure about that because they each went by both names (in the opening, e.g. here http://i.imgur.com/AESJ0Wf.png etc.) Linguist111 (talk) 10:48, 16 January 2016 (UTC)

Okay, I'll do that. Linguist111 (talk) 11:01, 16 January 2016 (UTC)

America's Next Top Model

According to the sources that I provided, Renee Alway was known as Renee DeWitt on the show. Please do not remove cited content. Linguist111 (talk) 17:43, 27 January 2016 (UTC)

Those articles were written well after cycle 8; true, she ''now'' goes by the name "Renee Alway" and not "Renee DeWitt", and did at the time the articles were written. Wikipedia's cycle 8 article would not be reliable enough without sources. One of the sources I provided, saying her name was Renee DeWitt, was written after the cycle finished filming and before it started airing, and the other article said she was known as Renee DeWitt on the show. What Wikipedia says is irrelevant, unless the info was sourced.

What do you mean by "concentrated"? As for Top Model Poland 5's article being deleted, most likely the person who nominated it for deletion deemed the article to not meet notability guidelines, and the editors who contributed to the deletion discussion agreed. I'm not exactly sure about it either, though. Linguist111 (talk) 19:23, 27 January 2016 (UTC)

There aren't any nowrap tags around the start dates. I can change Renee's name on cycle 8's article. If you want, you can watch cycle 5 and the other cycles here: http://serialnet.pl/serial/3-54/top-model-zostan-modelka Linguist111 (talk) 19:56, 27 January 2016 (UTC)

Okay. I didn't revert the edit, I just corrected the comment's spelling and translation. I watched the clip, but I can't tell what was being said, whether Laura said she wanted to go home, or simply said she didn't want her makeover and they kicked her out for that. There is nothing wrong with having the flags there. Those are multinational competitions/cycles, and so it is okay to have the flags there, to show which country the winners and runners-up represented. <span style="color:green;">'''''Linguist 111'''''</span><span style="color:brown;">talk</span> 22:14, 12 March 2016 (UTC)

I still don't see anything wrong with having them there. GNTM

Okay, I've removed the & sign between Christin and Yusra's names and put a comma. I'm not sure about removing the rest of the & signs at the moment, so I'll leave them there, but I'll take what you've said into consideration.

Flags

I don't see the point in adding an extra column to the table. The more columns those tables have, the more cluttered they look, and I don't think it's necessary to add another column for the countries when the information about the countries represented is already there with the flags. I also think it's fine for the runners-up to have the flags as they have their own individual column; ideally we could have flags there for every contestant, but that would clutter the table, plus, in general, most tables that I've seen that include symbols such as flags or gender signs have them for the winners and runners-up (and second runners-up if they have their own individual column), but not for the rest of the contestants.

One last thing: please remember to sign your messages when you write on talk pages. To do this, type this symbol 4 times: ~

In some cases, perhaps, but the style of call-out order on GNTM is said to just be random and not reflective of placement. <span style="color:green;">'''''Linguist 111'''''</span><span style="color:brown;">talk</span> 11:37, 13 March 2016 (UTC)

25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Greetings. At least one of your recent edits ↗, such as the edit you made to :Germany's Next Topmodel (cycle 11) ↗, did not appear to be constructive and has been or will be reverted ↗ or removed. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. If you only meant to make some test edits, please use the sandbox ↗ for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. If a contestant has to drop out of the competition due to illness, it's generally classified as quitting. I wouldn't call it a disqualification, because she didn't break the rules of the competition. In future, if you have any questions about an article, please post about it on the article's talk page and not on my page, unless it involves me, in which case you can also post on my page. Expansion of summary tables in Top Model articles

I notice that you have been expanding the summary tables in some Top Model articles (seen e.g. here ↗), and these edits are being challenged by other editors. Since your edits are being challenged, I recommended that you post about it on ''Top Model'''s talk page ↗ and try to reach consensus ↗ with the other editors.<br>In my opinion, the "No unsourced spoilers please" tag is unnecessary; I only added it to the ''Asia's Next Top Model'' articles because of the amount of unsourced spoilers people kept adding. <span style="color:green;">'''''Linguist 111'''''</span><span style="color:brown;">talk</span> 12:36, 3 April 2016 (UTC)

Okay, but I still recommend you post on ''Top Model'''s talk page and try and reach a consensus with the editors who are challenging your edits to the tables. <span style="color:green;">'''''Linguist 111'''''</span><span style="color:brown;">talk</span> 14:46, 3 April 2016 (UTC)

I think it's best that you post on ''Top Model'''s talk page ↗, rather than cross-post on the individual talk pages of each article. Also, it's best to refrain from making the edits to the tables until consensus with other editors is reached. For more information, see Wikipedia's policies on edit warring ↗ and consensus ↗. <span style="color:green;">'''''Linguist 111'''''</span><span style="color:brown;">talk</span> 15:23, 3 April 2016 (UTC)

On GNTM, the call-out order generally does not reflect each contestant's performance. There is no evidence that the actual order in which the contestants are eliminated in each individual elimination does not reflect their placements, so there is no difference between contestants eliminated in this way and contestants eliminated at the exact same time (e.g. Rebecca and Tiffany from America's Next Top Model 4 ↗. If you look at e.g. ANTM's series overview ↗, contestants eliminated simultaneously are listed in reverse alphabetical order (Tiffany & Rebecca, Jennifer & Erin, Angelea & Alexandra etc.), so the GNTM contestants eliminated in the same eliminations should be too. We don't have to be completely literal. <span style="color:green;">'''''Linguist 111'''''</span><span style="color:brown;">talk</span> 16:12, 14 April 2016 (UTC)

If the series overviews were not meant to reflect placement, have them there would be pointless. Listing the literal order, unless it is reflective of placement, serves no purpose. Again, we don't have to be so literal about it.

If you persist with your disruptive editing, these warnings will also persist, and I will be taking this to the administrators' noticeboard. This is a waste of my time and unhelpful to the encyclopedia. Hello DDKay!

I've noticed you're quite the fan of Germany's Next Top Model, like myself! I was wondering if you could help me to better compile information for my table here ↗ by fixing anything that might be incorrect in the future. If you're interested, please let me know in my talk page.Trafalk09 (talk)

25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia ↗. You appear to be repeatedly reverting or undoing ↗ other editors' contributions at :Germany's Next Topmodel ↗. Although this may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is known as "edit warring ↗" and is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process ↗, as it often creates animosity between editors. Instead of reverting, please discuss the situation with the editor(s) involved and try to reach a consensus ↗ on the talk page ↗.

If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to be blocked ↗ from editing Wikipedia. This isn't done to punish an editor, but to prevent the disruption caused by edit warring. In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule ↗, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount, and violating the three-revert rule is very likely to lead to a block. Stop reverting.

Stop reverting the edits to contestants' names in Indonesia's Next Top Model page. If there's something wrong with putting their full names in the cycles section, explain it on the talk page, don't just revert carelessly. <span style="text-shadow:0.1em 0.1em 0.1em #999999"><b><span style="color:hotpink">''Winter''</span><span style="color:blue">''Fanboy''🌹</span></b><small style="color:#BA55D3">TALK</small> ↗</span> 04:02, 27 February 2022 (UTC)

I'm not talking about the flags, I'm talking about you reverting the contestants' full name. As far as I'm concerned, there's no policy to justify your reverts. I suggest you stop reverting.

Additionally, there's no official destinations to this cycle yet, so stop adding one. <span style="text-shadow:0.1em 0.1em 0.1em #999999"><b><span style="color:hotpink">''Winter''</span><span style="color:blue">''Fanboy''🌹</span></b><small style="color:#BA55D3">TALK</small> ↗</span> 04:28, 27 February 2022 (UTC)

Then why did you remove middle names? For example, you reverted "Sarah Gabriella Tumiwa" to "Sarah Tumiwa", yet you added Peace's long african last name. You also wrote "Indira Indirasvari Kristensen" instead of "Indira Kristensen", which doesn't make sense. Like I said, there's no policy to justify your revert, you just made up these "rules" on your own.

I'll respect your edits if you respect mine, which means, leave the middle names alone. <span style="text-shadow:0.1em 0.1em 0.1em #999999"><b><span style="color:hotpink">''Winter''</span><span style="color:blue">''Fanboy''🌹</span></b><small style="color:#BA55D3">TALK</small> ↗</span> 04:44, 27 February 2022 (UTC)

You clearly are in way over your head. Since when INTM use contestants' middle names in the show? They're only using the first names and everybody knows it. Don't sprout nonsense. Also, Indira's first name is Natalie not Indira. The name "Indira" came from her middle name "Indirasvari". Hence, putting "Indira Indirasvari" is incorrect because you're REPEATING her middle name. Yes, you made all these nonsense "rules" yourself, don't fool yourself that you're following "a rules that everybody use". It's clear you don't know how to listen to other people's input, even when that other person has listened to yours. <span style="text-shadow:0.1em 0.1em 0.1em #999999"><b><span style="color:hotpink">''Winter''</span><span style="color:blue">''Fanboy''🌹</span></b><small style="color:#BA55D3">TALK</small> ↗</span> 06:10, 4 March 2022 (UTC)

You're a loser. <span style="text-shadow:0.1em 0.1em 0.1em #999999"><b><span style="color:hotpink">''Winter''</span><span style="color:blue">''Fanboy''🌹</span></b><small style="color:#BA55D3">TALK</small> ↗</span> 07:17, 5 March 2022 (UTC)

25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Please don't change the format of dates, as you did to :Brazil's Next Top Model (season 2) ↗. America's Next Top Model (season 3)

30px|left|alt=Stop icon ↗ Your recent editing history at :America's Next Top Model (season 3) ↗ shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war ↗; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page ↗ to work toward making a version that represents consensus ↗ among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See the bold, revert, discuss cycle ↗ for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard ↗ or seek dispute resolution ↗. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection ↗.

'''Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing ↗'''&mdash;especially if you violate the three-revert rule ↗, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts ↗ on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring&mdash;'''even if you do not violate the three-revert rule'''&mdash;should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.<!-- Template:uw-3rr --> Plastikspork ―Œ(talk) 04:29, 7 September 2022 (UTC)

Updating comment on talk page

When you do this kind of thing ↗, you probably should re-sign the comment (i.e., replace your username and date with "<nowiki>~~~~</nowiki>" prior to saving), so it's clear to readers when the info was last changed. (As things stand right now, it looks like you left info about episodes 9–14 back on April 6th. :) - dcljr (talk) 01:38, 19 May 2023 (UTC)

Top Model (Polish season 12)

Hi there,

I noticed you are undoing revision from an anonymous user, with reference to a contestant's name.

I would suggest leaving a note on your changes as to why. Also, it appears TVN has the correct names of all contestants, and as such I would suggest this is representative of all as being correct and true. KingdomNone91 (talk) 23:29, 12 November 2023 (UTC)

:hi, Tadeusz name is Tadeusz Mareczek-Mikolajczak. TVN is not using his double family name. On Tadeuszs Facebook was seen his complete name and I think that Tadeusz himself will know it better, what his name is. Sadly he deleted his Facebook for some days. I also left a notice about that, but someone deleted it. 84.171.13.77 ↗ (talk) 23:37, 12 November 2023 (UTC)
::I don't think Facebook is an appropriate source material to reference, as it's quite personal. However, News articles, the TVN website itself or sources etc is suffice. If he himself can verify that according to WP:BLP ↗ and WP:V ↗, then absolutely, but for now the TVN webpage and news articles stating just Tadeusz Mikolajczak should be used until further verification can be sourced. KingdomNone91 (talk) 00:46, 13 November 2023 (UTC)
:::Hi,
:::I kinda think that Tadeusz himself is the best source material.
:::And if it's about the fact that we use only TV websites or more, than we would have a lot of false inoformations for a loot of constetants in a lot next topmodel franchises. I mean for example Lou-Anne from GNTM is going by Lou-Anne Gleissenebner everywhere in the internet, but here on wiki her real name is also written with her double family name. GNTM Cadidates

here is a description from a website: "Heidi Klum revealed in an Insta Live interview that several hundred models were cast for the 20th season. "We cast 100 men on the first day, 100 women on the second day - and we have mega guest judges," said the world star with a grin. In a first trailer you can see some of the models. This year, too, there are no limits to gender, weight, height. At the end of January, the first of Heidi Klum's models were announced." - meaning that they had more than 200 turn up for casting then they CHOSE 100 for each gender to be the 200 final cast. KingdomNone91 (talk) 20:53, 3 February 2025 (UTC)

:That doesn't mean the 200 people are the final cast! With "We cast 100 men on the first day, they mean the casting with 100 men, the same for the women. They discribe the episodes. Also in germany they don't say semifinalist to the constetants, because they always call them constetants, even if they are semis. The call it semi-final the episode before final. They wanna choose the final cast out of the 200 people. I also can't find any part where they calling the 200 people the final cast, they call them only cast, means in Germany the semi-finalist. DDKay (talk) 21:03, 3 February 2025 (UTC)
:I will give you an example how it works in Germany with the writings. In season 7 they also anounced a list of the top 50. That was also not the final cast, but they always wrote constetants and never semi-finalist. Even if there was written constentants or cast, the top 50 was never the final cast. The cosen top 25 was the cast and the first episode with top 50 was the casting episode, where they searched for the final cast. https://www.bravo.de/germanys-next-topmodel-2012-das-sind-die-50-kandidatinnen-329333.html
:They do it like this again, only with a bigger group. I hope you can understand it now. Those 200 people are casted for the first and second episode, but it don't mean they where already casted for the final cast. Thats what they wanna do in the start of that season- DDKay (talk) 21:21, 3 February 2025 (UTC)

GNTM 2

Can I ask where did you get Sophie and Alina's surnames from season 2? Morgan Tyrese Patacsil Depusoy (talk) 16:36, 16 July 2025 (UTC)

:Hello, sorry for the late answer. To be honest, I thought I used them as a placeholder. I see everywhere the surnames "Sophie Deahl" and "Alina Hegelmaier" ... even on the german wiki, which is doing a bad job anyway... They don't have listed Romina, Abiba and Laura W. for season 7, have a lot of wrong surnames and so on ... So at first I thought it is a mistake again on the german wiki, when they wrote Deahl and Hegelmaier. But then I saw those names on other pages, too. But I am still sure those names are wrong, because Sophie was at first Snobl, which is just the name from Sabine season 7... Later everywhere is Sophie Deahl, but that is the name from a girl from Hollands next topmodel season 3. And Hegelmaier for Alina is also just the name from Vanessa season 3. So I was unsure ... but then I thought, when I wrote similiar names (Dahl instead of Deahl and Maier instead of Hegelmaier), maybe some research will happen and someone will start to look for the real names. Top Model articles

Hello! Hope all is well. I made a number of changes to the articles for polish Top Model, started a discussion in the talk page for gthe latest season, and was hoping other people might weigh in. I totally understand if you disagree, but was hoping we could talk about it. I also made different changes in regards to format, spelling, and episode count that were completely unrelated to that, which you also reverted without an explanation. In the future, I think we might benefit from editing sections we disagree with (like the tables) without wholesale reversals, especially wiuthout explanation or reason. I'm not a mind reader. Neweditoronboard (talk) 21:00, 11 November 2025 (UTC)

:Hello, I am good and I hope you too. Please don't change the cast number of the last two season at PNTM. The cast is out of 20 people. I also think it would be good, if you don't make changes by your own. Also the polish wikipedia show all 20 as the cast. I will change it back to what it was and ask you kindly to leave it like that. DDKay (talk) 21:14, 11 November 2025 (UTC)

:: I have changed the tables back to include the top 20, per your input as requested pending concensus, while keeping other unrelated changes I have made. I think that's a happy middle ground. I would also like to remind you that anyone is free to edit the pages, and it's good to be wary of assuming ownership over said pages. Please chime in ↗.

:::Just to clarify: I’m not claiming ownership of any pages. That accusation is unnecessary. My point is simply that you made your edits without waiting for any responses on the talk pages, even though you opened discussions there. When multiple people have been working on a structure for a long time, it makes sense to reach consensus before making major changes. That’s why I reverted them. I’m happy to discuss details, but please without assumptions. Thanks. DDKay (talk) 21:35, 11 November 2025 (UTC)
::::I apologize if my tone came across pointed, but you must understand, that I also worked hard on these over the last couple of hours, made sure to include edit summaries, and well, when someone comes and reverts everything without any explanation (especially the edits that were unrelated to the changes you took initially took issue with) it also doesn't feel very good. I think communication is key moving forward, especially since its likely we might be editing these types of pages as its a topic both of us are interested in. Hope you have a good day, and if you have any questions please don't hesitate tgo reach out. Always happy to talk! Once again, I apologize. Neweditoronboard (talk) 21:40, 11 November 2025 (UTC)
:::::Everything is fine. Me and others are writing here since years, so for me it is also not a good feeling when someone is suddenly comming and make big changes. I have to agree that models shows changed a lot. In the past everything was more clear. Sadly that changes, especially at PNTM and GNTM, where the websites and the show didn't show in a clear way who is in the final cast and who not. The top 20 in both seasons moved into the topmodel house, which is normally only for the final cast. Sometimes I have the feeling the places 20-15 are not semis, but also not really final cast ... more something between them... But all 20 started together the real competition in the model house.
