New ''Tetris'' article

Hello DK-ZERO! I hope you're well πŸ™‚ I just wanted to let you know I recently created an article for 2022 CTWC winner Eric Tolt β†—, and if you could take a look at it (specifically the competitive record section!) I'd appreciate it a lot. Cheers! '''<span style="color:orange;">Johnson</span>''''''<span style="color:blue;">524</span>''' 22:25, 8 November 2025 (UTC)

:thank you! ~ the new article already sparked discussion at CTM Discord's #history channel, including Eric himself weighing in. you might wanna read that. ~ have a good Sunday! @Johnson524 DK-ZERO (talk) 13:45, 9 November 2025 (UTC)

2024 in sumo β†—

Hi, thanks for your edits. Just for future reference in the case of Terunofuji and Takakeisho, their records should be 0-2-13, not 0-1-14. They both withdrew on Day 2, so their respective bouts that day are considered to be a loss (defaulting). JRHorse (talk) 19:19, 14 May 2024 (UTC)

:ty, got discouraged quickly last year, will make a better effort this time, wikipedia doesn't seem that overwhelming after all. DK-ZERO (talk) 11:46, 26 July 2025 (UTC)

Banzukegai

I am not as active as I was but I was one of the pioneers of getting a lot of sumo content on wikipedia back from around 2006 or so. We had/have a policy of not recording banzukegai as the start of a career as they did not compete and indeed are not listed on the banzuke, hence the term. Thanks. FourTildes (talk) 08:40, 9 October 2025 (UTC)

:makes sense. Daishōhō Kiyohiro β†— listed January as debut, thus the confusion. all fixed now, thanks. DK-ZERO (talk) 16:16, 9 October 2025 (UTC)

Banzukegai

Hey! You might know me from adding things like more information about the cancelled tournaments and Banzukegai status to sumo articles. Recently, I realized that my addition of Banzukegai was no longer listed for wrestlers such as Hoshoryu, Kirishima, and Aonishiki, who were all Banzukegai in the tournament prior to their debut. Because Banzukegai status is also recognized on SumoDB, where the records box is sourced from, I think it should also be recognized on Wikipedia as part of a wrestler's record. Could you please explain to me why the Banzukegai status was removed, if you know, that is? Thanks in advance! StarPrime3230 (talk) 03:12, 27 January 2026 (UTC)

:The Japanese Wikipedia does not list such erroneous banzuke-gai entries; I find it quite regrettable that SumoDB lists the initial listings of weight like that. ArguaBILL (talk) 07:50, 27 January 2026 (UTC)
::are they erroneous? how so?
::SumoDB appears to just copy the JSA profiles.
::Hakugetsuro / Sukhbat:
::https://sumodb.sumogames.de/Rikishi.aspx?r=12979
::https://sumo.or.jp/ResultRikishiData/profile/4370/
::status listed as η•ͺδ»˜ε€– thus Banzuke-gai DK-ZERO (talk) 08:41, 27 January 2026 (UTC)
:::Only if the JSA profile sticks to that entry date will I concede. ArguaBILL (talk) 09:00, 27 January 2026 (UTC)
::::by 'entry date' you mean the 'debut date' listed by the JSA?
::::no, they will change that to whenever he actually has his Maezumo.
::::but Hakugetsuro / Sukhbat did pass his medical examination in January 2026.
::::so while not erroneous on part of SumoDB, there's an argument that it's irrelevant bloat to our 'Career record' tables.
::::PS. this is not really the right place β†— to discuss this... is there prior documentation?
::::also, look at your Talk Page @StarPrime3230 DK-ZERO (talk) 10:50, 27 January 2026 (UTC)
:wasn't me who reverted any of that... before spending a lot of time on overhauling hundreds of articles better consult Wikipedia:WikiProject_Sumo β†— first. DK-ZERO (talk) 10:55, 27 January 2026 (UTC)
