About the blank summary

Thanks for the heads up/reminder. Sometimes I don't summarize the edit for fear of making a mistake (since I'm not a native English speaker).

This is not the first time I have made an "insignificant" edit and, shortly after, an anonymous "wrong" edit comes along that is later corrected by a more experienced editor. Having lived in Japan, I have a bit of a habit of only talking/responding when asked.

I'll try in the next ones, but in that case I just imitated the pattern I saw in other images in the same article.

Three incorrect errors in a row

You have recently given me 3 warnings about citations and misinformation. All three were false.

The first one could be proven correct by the rest of the page.

The second one was false for the same reason.

The last one was false because the original data was incorrect. Jack50nD4u3y (talk) 09:29, 19 July 2025 (UTC)

:Follow the links in the messages on your talk page, read the policies and guidelines, and you should understand why my reverts were correct. Good luck! DVdm (talk) 13:57, 19 July 2025 (UTC)

Mathematical joke

I noted that you reverted a large number of edits. ↗ It's fine if you've a specific contention (I suspect it's mine. If so, are http://mathworld.wolfram.com/Fallacy.html and http://scribd.com/document/505643499/E-a-Maxwell-Fallacies-in-Mathematics-Cambridge-University-Press-2006-1#page=47 sufficient? We can open it for discussion) but reverting so many with a message ''"Restoring per unsourced addition (referring to the second zero-division). Feel free to redo the remainder, but please don't do WP:OR"'' puts the onus on other editors to parse what you mean.

I do not wish to get into an edit war, so please revert only the edit you object to.

Thanks, '''cm&#610;&#671;ee'''&#9094;&#964;a&#671;&#954; ↗ 20:03, 27 August 2025 (UTC)

:{{rto|cmglee}} I have left a comment on the user's talk page (https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk%3ACiaPan&diff=1308119118&oldid=1303351713 ↗) explaining why I reverted. The content they added was an unsourced addition to already properly sourced content. The other changes they made were just more or less formatting and not really doing much, so I decided to restore the original looks, together with the topical content. If the other edits had been more substantial, I would of course have acted differently. I don't think that user CiaPan objected to my action, as they did not react to my message (yet). Cheers. DVdm (talk) 22:02, 28 August 2025 (UTC)
::Thanks for explaining. It's unfortunate that the formatting changes were made by the same editor who made the objectionable edit. I haven't reviewed the formatting changes, but they may be useful. Mass reverting seems like throwing out the baby with the bathwater. Anyway, let's leave it to {{ping|CiaPan}} to respond if they wish. Cheers, '''cm&#610;&#671;ee'''&#160;&#964;a&#671;&#954; ↗ <span style="font-size:80%;">(please add <code>&#123;&#123;ping|cmglee&#125;&#125;</code> to your reply)</span> 01:10, 29 August 2025 (UTC)

:{{re|cmglee}} Yes, my expansion to the explanation of invalidity was unsourced and I do not really care that it has been reverted. <br> What concerns formating, my opinion is ''the simpler, the better''; that's why I shifted the comment to the text where it belongs, and removed the superfluous wikitable, whose sole purpose was adding a comment at a wrong place. <br> Additionally, the comment was ''not'' a reference, that's why I changed {{code|ref}} into {{code|efn}}. <br> I also added two valid URLs to dead references – and this I restored now → Special:Diff/1308397459 ↗. <br> Feel free to revert again, it that's still wrong. <br> I also restored :File:circle_staircase_paradox.svg ↗ in the 'Mathematical fallacies' section, which was not my addition (AFAIR) but somehow got deleted, too. <br> Best regards, CiaPan (talk) 06:43, 29 August 2025 (UTC)
::Thanks, {{ping|CiaPan}} I didn't know about ''efn'' and tried to use ''ref'' to make a footnote. That's much better. Cheers, '''cm&#610;&#671;ee'''&#160;&#964;a&#671;&#954; ↗ <span style="font-size:80%;">(please add <code>&#123;&#123;ping|cmglee&#125;&#125;</code> to your reply)</span> 17:01, 29 August 2025 (UTC)

Hi, {{ping|DVdm|cmglee}}! I re-did formatting in the section we talked about above. I made the changes in two 'atomic' steps so it's easier to follow and verify them:
Looking forward to your comments, :) CiaPan (talk) 12:17, 11 September 2025 (UTC)

:{{ping|CiaPan}} Thanks for checking with me. In my opinion, I prefer the old formatting in which coincidentally, the "[a]" falls exactly at the erroneous line. With the new footnote, a reader has to go through the lines to see which line divides by "(a-b)". Cheers, '''cm&#610;&#671;ee'''&#160;&#964;a&#671;&#954; ↗ <span style="font-size:80%;">(please add <code>&#123;&#123;ping|cmglee&#125;&#125;</code> to your reply)</span> 12:31, 11 September 2025 (UTC)
