Source https://x.com/HidekiKamiya_X/status/1991839342042722679 ↗
Good day! Some editors think that it is fine to use twitter as a primary source for development section and just recently found this https://x.com/HidekiKamiya_X/status/1991839342042722679 ↗. Do you think its worth to be added at the article? He talks about where "Valentine" name come from. 🍕<span style="background:orange;border-radius:9999px;padding:1px 8px;color:white;"><span style="font-weight:bold">B</span>P!</span>🍕 (🔔) 01:02, 23 November 2025 (UTC)
:Hi {{u|Boneless Pizza!}}. As per WP:ABOUTSELF ↗, I think this is fine to mention briefly IF better sources don't exist, as long as you attribute who said it and when. For example: "In 2025, Hideki Kamiya ↗ stated he took the name Jill from one of his reference books, and the name Valentine was chosen randomly after he heard someone say Valentine's Day ↗.[source]
::Thanks! I already implemented it. You can check if there is an issue. By the way, there is another source also that can be implemented as well https://www.polygon.com/2019/1/21/18187446/resident-evil-2-history-capcom-hideki-kamiya/ ↗: "Kamiya was a designer for certain environments in the Spencer Estate, though his most permanent contribution to the series’ lore was the naming of some of the characters, including Jill, Chris, Wesker, and the others. “I got the inspiration for their names from various media sources, including pornographic magazines". Regards. 🍕<span style="background:orange;border-radius:9999px;padding:1px 8px;color:white;"><span style="font-weight:bold">B</span>P!</span>🍕 (🔔) 00:19, 24 November 2025 (UTC)
:::{{ping|Boneless Pizza!}} In this case I think it would be better to use the tweet as it's specifically about Jill. I think if you use this new source as well though you could definitely change 'reference book' in the article to 'pornographic magazine'. I noticed the AI translation of the tweet said 'adult reference book', but I wasn't 100% sure what that meant (also you can't trust AI translation), but you could definitely change it to that if you wanted to with this as a additional supplementary source. Damien Linnane (talk) 01:02, 24 November 2025 (UTC)
::::I guess you're right that the twitter as a source alone should be probably fine as is. Thanks! 🍕<span style="background:orange;border-radius:9999px;padding:1px 8px;color:white;"><span style="font-weight:bold">B</span>P!</span>🍕 (🔔) 01:11, 24 November 2025 (UTC)

:Thanks {{u|Doctorhawkes}}, I appreciate it. The goal is to eventually get rid of all of them, though that might take a little while. It's just something I'm gradually chipping away at while doing things like listening to podcasts. :) Damien Linnane (talk) 00:18, 24 February 2026 (UTC)
Archive.org
<s>Hi. I'm very concern right now at the article Jill Valentine ↗. Since Wikipedia now has a policy to remove all archive.today and replace it to Archive.org, some of the sources are now lost i think and this article has a lot of archive.today, which is painful. 🍕<span style="background:orange;border-radius:9999px;padding:1px 8px;color:white;"><span style="font-weight:bold">B</span>P!</span>🍕 (🔔) 02:50, 24 February 2026 (UTC)</s> Oof Nevermind, I guess we can use this https://nethahussain.github.io/wikipedia-archive-today-detector/ ↗ though some of the source are dead or might be lost sadly. 🍕<span style="background:orange;border-radius:9999px;padding:1px 8px;color:white;"><span style="font-weight:bold">B</span>P!</span>🍕 (🔔) 04:13, 24 February 2026 (UTC)
:Hi {{u|Boneless Pizza!}}. I'm glad there's a work around at the moment. Hopefully not too many sources are lost. Also, while it's obviously not ideal to have dead sources, as per WP:KDL ↗, sources don't have to be deleted even if they are dead and no archived snapshots (from approved archival websites) exist. Damien Linnane (talk) 13:57, 24 February 2026 (UTC)
::I see. I was glad that you told me this because I really thought we need to remove if there are no archived snapshots anymore. Thanks! 🍕<span style="background:orange;border-radius:9999px;padding:1px 8px;color:white;"><span style="font-weight:bold">B</span>P!</span>🍕 (🔔) 14:06, 24 February 2026 (UTC)

There is a very extensive discussion regarding that section on the talk page ↗. Nikkimaria (talk) 01:08, 6 April 2026 (UTC)
:Hmm, I should have checked, but I never would have guessed such a short policy would have such a large discussion. Anyway thanks for letting me know. Damien Linnane (talk) 01:10, 6 April 2026 (UTC)
Redirecting album articles
I am able to save a good deal of those lacking sources, especially within metal. I restore the ones with more than three-four WP:MUSICRS ↗. Geschichte (talk) 14:20, 30 April 2026 (UTC)
:Hi {{u|Geschichte}}. I'm certainly very happy for you to do that. I just personally believe articles shouldn't be created unless they were well sourced in the first place, and that accordingly all unsourced articles should be trashed until adequate sources are found, rather than just sitting there unsourced. But I'm also a firm believer in WP:BRD ↗ so I won't revert anyone who un-redirects any individual redirects I made (though I may nominate them for WP:AFD ↗ if they are un-redirected and no reliable sources are added in). Incidentally, I found all those metals articles indirectly while I was working on a task which is finished now, so I don't think I'll be redirecting any more anytime soon. Have a nice day. Orphaned non-free image File:Revolution Overdrive Songs of Liberty.jpg
35px|text-top|left|⚠|link= ↗ Thanks for uploading ''':File:Revolution Overdrive Songs of Liberty.jpg ↗'''. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of non-free use ↗. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media ↗).
Note that any non-free images not used in any '''articles''' will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion ↗. Thank you.<!-- Template:Di-orphaned non-free use-notice --> --B-bot (talk) 17:41, 12 May 2026 (UTC)
Edits to Luther (song) ↗ and PT Cruiser (song) ↗
Can you explain how exactly these edits (1 ↗) (2 ↗) are considered to be "fix[es]"? Removing the parameter results in the infobox giving a misleading chronology, particularly in cases where two singles from the same artist are released on the same day. Elias 🦗🐜 [''Chat, they chattin', they chat''] 11:41, 31 May 2026 (UTC)
:I just left a comment on your talk page. See :Category:Pages using extra chronology with unknown parameters ↗. Restoring the unknown parameter makes these the only two articles to flag in this category for having an error. I'm really not fussed about it though and I'm not going to contest it further. Have a nice day. Damien Linnane (talk) 11:46, 31 May 2026 (UTC)
::The "unknown parameter" is actually doing its job (displaying the title of the other single released at the same time); the problem is with the way the {{template link|Extra chronology}} template is written. The same parameter is in {{template link|Infobox song}} and, if you'd look at an article like Not Like Us ↗, the preview warning is absent. Elias 🦗🐜 [''Chat, they chattin', they chat''] 11:55, 31 May 2026 (UTC)
:::Appears to have been fixed with this edit ↗. You're all good - you were just doing what you thought was best to do {{smiley}} Elias 🦗🐜 [''Chat, they chattin', they chat''] 11:58, 31 May 2026 (UTC)
About Time
Hi Damien. I saw your post on the Reward Board, and I think can create such article for the newspaper. This seems like an interesting topic so I'll give it a go. <span style="font-family:cursive;color:darkblue;cursor:help"><span>Alexeyevitch</span>(talk)</span> 09:28, 22 June 2026 (UTC)
:Alright, I've created it ↗ and the DYK page ↗. This is a very interesting topic. :) <span style="font-family:cursive;color:darkblue;cursor:help"><span>Alexeyevitch</span>(talk)</span> 12:26, 22 June 2026 (UTC)
::Amazing work, I'm really impressed by how quickly you wrote it too. And the DYK hook is a good one as well. Thanks so much. Damien Linnane (talk) 13:26, 22 June 2026 (UTC)

Hi again Damien! I'm curious if this hilarious source https://www.pcgamer.com/games/resident-evil/resident-evil-2-fans-end-years-of-searching-for-identity-of-jill-valentines-photo-boyfriend/ ↗ can be added at the article? If yes, I wonder where. lol 🍕<span style="background:orange;border-radius:9999px;padding:1px 8px;color:white;"><span style="font-weight:bold">B</span>P!</span>🍕 (🔔) 11:58, 27 June 2026 (UTC)
:Hi {{u|Boneless Pizza!}}. Thanks for sharing. I'm thinking that, while hilarious, this probably falls under the realm of trivia and isn't really important enough to mention unfortunately. Anyway, that's just my opinion. Damien Linnane (talk) 11:22, 29 June 2026 (UTC)

Usage of parameters
I noticed that you removed many instances of the {{para|italic_title|no}} parameter from instances of {{tl|Infobox album}}, claiming that they're "unused" in your edit reasons. Those parameters aren't unused; {{tl|Infobox album}}, like many other {{tl|Infobox}} templates, automatically italicizes an article's title, meaning that articles that require custom italics, like the five that you edited, need to have the automatic italics disabled to prevent DISPLAYTITLE conflicts. I've added the parameters back; don't remove them in the future. IdiosyncraticLawyer (talk) 19:16, 6 July 2026 (UTC)
:Hi {{u|IdiosyncraticLawyer}}. The five pages were flagging at :Category:Pages using infobox song with unknown parameters ↗, along with issues I'm more familiar with, and the edit preview of each page all explicitly said that the italic_title=no field was the problem, so that's what I removed. I now see from your edit summary that the issue instead appears to be have been the conflicting 'yesitalic' title. Thanks for fixing that. Damien Linnane (talk) 23:27, 6 July 2026 (UTC)
::No, I was removing {{tl|yesitalic}} for the unrelated reason that {{tl|Infobox album}} was recently modified to no longer require manual italicization of the infobox header when {{para|italic_title|no}} is present. You removing the {{para|italic_title|no}} field from {{tl|Infobox song}} was actually the right thing to do; you just shouldn't have removed it from {{tl|Infobox album}} as well. IdiosyncraticLawyer (talk) 23:40, 6 July 2026 (UTC)
:::Oh I understand now, thanks for explaining. Damien Linnane (talk) 23:42, 6 July 2026 (UTC)
