Welcome!
Hey there Dkspencer03, welcome to the tropical cyclone WikiProject! I'm guessing you saw my last message, so cheers to joining. I wondered if you had any questions about editing, or if you're getting the hang of things. Cheers. ♫ Hurricanehink (talk ↗) 17:30, 2 October 2024 (UTC)
:Hello, and thank you! Yes, I did see the message. I don't really have any questions, though if anything comes up I'll be sure to let you or someone else know. Dkspencer03 (talk) 18:29, 2 October 2024 (UTC)
::Sweet. I'm curious, are you more interested in new or older storms? We have tons of articles that'll need work, not to overwhelm you since you just joined :P ♫ Hurricanehink (talk ↗) 18:31, 2 October 2024 (UTC)
:::I'm willing to edit and update both but I'm mainly interested in new storms. Dkspencer03 (talk) 18:36, 2 October 2024 (UTC)
::::That's awesome. Sometimes the newer storms are the ones that end up getting ignored, like if they were overshadowed by another storm. Hurricane Francine ↗ is a good example of that. It's a recent storm article, but it's on the short side. There are also tons of lists that are in need of updating. For example, there is List of Florida hurricanes ↗ and List of North Carolina hurricanes ↗, which I see you've edited, plus List of Georgia hurricanes ↗, all of which had to be updated for Helene. But you might be wondering about List of South Carolina hurricanes ↗ - that is an example of something that's needed, and in fact, we even have an article request page ↗, in case you want to request something that you think should have an article. ♫ Hurricanehink (talk ↗) 18:49, 2 October 2024 (UTC)
Hey there, just checking in a bit later, but wow I'm really impressed with how Draft:List of South Carolina hurricanes ↗ is looking! The article looks like it's pretty close to publication. That's one of the most storm-affected state that doesn't yet have an article, so you're working on a pretty important list there. Keep up the great work. ♫ Hurricanehink (talk ↗) 20:17, 23 November 2024 (UTC)
:Thank you! I agree, felt very deserving of having an article considering all the history regarding tropical cyclones there. Should hopefully have it ready to publish relatively soon. Dkspencer03 (talk) 06:11, 24 November 2024 (UTC)
::Absolutely agree! Keep up the great work, and I'm sure you'll do fine around here. ♫ Hurricanehink (talk ↗) 17:21, 24 November 2024 (UTC)

Hey there! I had that draft watched because I started it at one point. Just wanted to let you know, that's why there's so much info in it out of nowhere XD ♫ Hurricanehink (talk ↗) 05:31, 29 January 2025 (UTC)

List of United States hurricanes ↗ edit
As it's a featured list, make sure you add sources when you add info, like in your recent update ↗ to add the Sinlaku landfall. ♫ Hurricanehink (talk ↗) 23:36, 14 April 2026 (UTC)
