I am curious about the Italian translation. Can you act as intermediary for me with the author of the it: article? I'd particularly like to know:

Did the translator of the Italian edition also translate other Gould books?

How did the translator handle the fact that many of the books Gould reviewed in this collection would not themselves have been translated?

How does Gould's rather wordy and literary style come through in the translation?

Would he or she consider helping out the Italian Wikiquote by providing some quotations from this book? The English Wikiquote has about a dozen, which might be a reasonable starting point (although I don't know that they would necessarily seem quotable to an Italian audience).

Thank you very much for your concerns on the PDFO related pages. However, your deletions are not reasonable. See the newly added references on the English/Deutsch version for the reason. Unfortunately, la version français, which was reasonably well edited, is lost forever (could you bring it back, if possible?).

Sometimes, it might be necessary to acquire sufficient knowledge about the related area before understanding a page, let alone editing it.
