If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag ↗, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

License tagging for Image:Jeffspeakman1.gif
Thanks for uploading :Image:Jeffspeakman1.gif ↗. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag ↗ applied to the image description page ↗ indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Image copyright problem with Image:Voneinem14.jpg
32px|left|Image Copyright problem ↗
Thank you for uploading :Image:Voneinem14.jpg ↗. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright ↗ very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the '''license''' and the '''source''' of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a '''copyright tag ↗''' to the image description page ↗.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page ↗. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI 02:00, 21 August 2007 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for :Image:Renee griffin 02.jpg ↗
Thanks for uploading or contributing to ''':Image:Renee griffin 02.jpg ↗'''. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use ↗ but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page ↗ and edit it to include a fair use rationale ↗.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions ↗" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion ↗. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page ↗. Thank you.<!-- Template:Di-no fair use rationale-notice --> NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 02:24, 18 November 2007 (UTC)

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Renee griffin 01.jpg

Replaceable fair use Image:Grosso trip Neill.jpg

Thanks for uploading ''':Image:Grosso trip Neill.jpg ↗'''. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use ↗, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion ↗ in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. # On the image discussion page ↗, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license ↗, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

Replaceable non-free use File:Suzie-ratcliffe.jpg
32px|left ↗
Thanks for uploading ''':File:Suzie-ratcliffe.jpg ↗'''. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of non-free use ↗. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion ↗. This criterion states that files used under claims of non-free use may have ''no free equivalent''; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:
# Go to the file description page ↗ and add the text {{Tlx|Di-replaceable non-free use disputed|<your reason>}} '''below''' the original replaceable non-free use template, replacing <code><your reason></code> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
# On the file's talk page ↗, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license ↗, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on <span class="plainlinks">[{{fullurl:Special:Contributions|target=Dreamofthedolphin&namespace=6}} this link]</span>. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification, per the non-free content policy ↗. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page ↗. Thank you. <!-- Template:di-replaceable non-free use-notice --> -- Marchjuly (talk) 05:59, 4 August 2025 (UTC)
Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Beaumont-excavation-plympton.jpg

Thank you for uploading ''':File:Beaumont-excavation-plympton.jpg ↗'''. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content ↗. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline ↗ is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag ↗; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.
If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion ↗. Non-free content
Hi,
I can see from your talk page that you have had issues with non-free content ↗ for a long time. You must make sure that the images you upload meet '''all''' of the non-free content criteria ↗. Furthermore, the filling in of the non-free usage rationale ↗ isn't just an exercise in bureaucratic form filling. You must properly explain the purpose of the image and how it meets WP:NFCC#8 ↗, and why it isn't replaceable with free content to meet WP:NFCC#1 ↗. If you don;t understand these criteria, you can ask questions at Media Copyright Questions ↗, but continuing to upload non-free images that do not meet the non-free content criteria is not improving the encyclopedia. -- Whpq (talk) 19:25, 4 April 2026 (UTC)
Recent edit reversion
In this edit here ↗, I reverted some information that appears to be a violation of our copyright policy ↗.
I provided a brief summary of the problem in the edit summary, which should be visible just below my name. You can also click on the "view history" tab in the article to see the recent history of the article. This should be an edit with my name, and a parenthetical comment explaining why your edit was reverted. If that information is not sufficient to explain the situation, please ask.
I do occasionally make mistakes. We get hundreds of reports of potential copyright violations every week, and sometimes there are false positives, for a variety of reasons. :I suspect you may be mistaken. I did not reference https://jacksmusic.wordpress.com/2010/06/13/ghana-1-0-serbia-match-report-only (or any site on jacksmusic) anywhere in my edits. They all referenced www.11v11.com and news.bbc.co.uk, both of which are legit information sources. Dreamofthedolphin (talk) 06:39, 19 June 2026 (UTC)
