Problem with your custom signature

You have a custom signature set in your account preferences. A change to Wikipedia's software ↗ has made your current custom signature incompatible with the software.

'''The problem:''' Your preferences are set to interpret your custom signature as wikitext ↗. However, your current custom signature does not contain any wikitext.

'''The solutions:''' You can reset your signature to the default, or you can fix your signature.

:'''Solution 1: Reset your signature to the default:'''
:# Find the signature section in the first tab of Special:Preferences ↗.
:# Uncheck the box (☑︎→☐) that says "'''Treat the above as wiki markup.'''"
:# Remove anything in the {{int:yournick}} text box. (It might already be empty.)
:# Click the blue "{{int:Saveprefs}}" button at the bottom of the page. (The red "{{int:Restoreprefs}}" button will reset all of your preference settings, not just the signature.)
:'''Solution 2: Fix your custom signature:'''
:# Find the signature section in the first tab of Special:Preferences ↗.
:# Uncheck the box (☑︎→☐) that says "'''Treat the above as wiki markup.'''"
:# Click the blue "{{int:Saveprefs}}" button at the bottom of the page.

More information about custom signatures is available at Wikipedia:Signatures#Customizing how everyone sees your signature ↗. If you have followed these instructions and still want help, please leave a message at Wikipedia talk:Signatures ↗. 19:04, 3 September 2020 (UTC)

Recent edit reversion

In this edit here ↗, I reverted some information that appears to be a violation of our copyright policy ↗.

I provided a brief summary of the problem in the edit summary, which should be visible just below my name. You can also click on the "view history" tab in the article to see the recent history of the article. This should be an edit with my name, and a parenthetical comment explaining why your edit was reverted. If that information is not sufficient to explain the situation, please ask.

I do occasionally make mistakes. We get hundreds of reports of potential copyright violations every week, and sometimes there are false positives, for a variety of reasons. (Perhaps the material was moved from another Wikipedia article, or the material was properly licensed but the license information was not obvious, or the material is in the public domain but I didn't realize it was public domain, and there can be other situations generating a report to our Copy Patrol tool that turn out not to be actual copyright violations.) If you think my edit was mistaken, please politely let me know and I will investigate. <span style="color:#000E2F;padding:0 4px;font-family: Copperplate Gothic Light">S Philbrick</span><span style=";padding:0 4px;color:# 000;font-family: Copperplate Gothic Light">(Talk)</span> 13:47, 30 November 2020 (UTC)

Your draft article, Draft:Dead Kelly ↗

48px|left|alt=|link= ↗

Hello, Dumbassman. This message concerns the Articles for Creation ↗ submission or draft ↗ page you started, "Dead Kelly ↗".

Drafts that go unedited for six months are eligible for deletion, in accordance with our draftspace policy ↗, and this one has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply {{edit|Draft:Dead Kelly|edit the submission}}, and remove the {{tlc|db-afc}}, {{tlc|db-draft}}, or {{tlc|db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you read this, you can '''request its undeletion''' ↗. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the draft so you can continue to work on it.

Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia! <!-- Template:Db-draft-notice --> DreamRimmer bot II (talk) 16:24, 14 February 2026 (UTC)

About your username

Hey there, welcome to the DCWC ↗! I noticed while you were signing up that you sign as "Rossouw" rather than with your username. Since this can be a bit confusing for people, what I'd recommend instead is that you request that your username be changed using Special:GlobalRenameRequest ↗ — it looks like the username Rossouw is available! For the time being, I've done the paperwork to sign you up under your username, since any changes to that might be disruptive to the way the contest's pages work on the back end. However, if you decide to get it changed, please let the coordinators know, and we'd be happy to change it over to your new username. Let me know if you have any questions! <span class="nowrap">—<span style="color: #0b541f;">'''TechnoSquirrel69'''</span></span> <small>(<span style="color: #0b541f;">'''talk'''</span>)</small> 20:55, 29 June 2026 (UTC)

:Thanks. I like my username, but don't want to flaunt it. A lot of people know me as "Rossouw". So I'm going to keep it as is. Thanks Rossouw (talk) 17:22, 30 June 2026 (UTC)

The DCWC is open!
