Discretionary sanctions notification

{{ivmbox | image = Commons-emblem-notice.svg |imagesize=50px | bg = #E5F8FF | text = This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. ''It does '''not''' imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.''

Removing template from Oliver Hayes-Brown

Hi. Can you please help me understand why you are removing the <nowiki>{{AFL|Ric}}</nowiki> template from Oliver Hayes-Brown ↗? You have done it twice now despite me adding it back in. You are leaving behind raw "Ric" text which is unusual and could be confusing to readers. Across the AFL project, the stats tables at player articles tend to have the team template linked at every season line. If you are concerned by MOS:REPEATLINK ↗, then can you please type out "Richmond" instead of leaving behind "Ric". Thanks. DaHuzyBru (talk) 08:40, 12 May 2026 (UTC)

:Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I will handle it for you. Electricmaster (talk) 10:52, 12 May 2026 (UTC)
::So... can you please return to the article and either reinstate <nowiki>{{AFL|Ric}}</nowiki> or change "Ric" to "Richmond". DaHuzyBru (talk) 03:34, 13 May 2026 (UTC)
:::Yes. Please give me 24 hours. ~2026-28874-72 ↗ (talk) 05:46, 13 May 2026 (UTC)
::::24 hours? We all know that does not take that long 😂 ~2026-30237-36 ↗ (talk) 11:37, 4 June 2026 (UTC)
:::::Well, it took you three weeks to reply, so… 🐸 ~2026-28874-72 ↗ (talk) 17:39, 4 June 2026 (UTC)
Okay, hopefully that fixes the issue. I've already rolled out the change on Hayes-Brown, and I'm now processing the rest. I've also done a complete check on all other teams. Cheers.

Billy Frampton stats update

Hey did you notice that the latest stats update ↗ added a weird line about Port Adelaide stats to Frampton's page (restored since ↗)? --SuperJew (talk) 11:50, 12 May 2026 (UTC)

:Thank you. Keep it as is. I will take care of it... Electricmaster (talk) 11:54, 12 May 2026 (UTC)
::And again ↗.
::And with Dan Houston too ↗. --SuperJew (talk) 11:02, 13 May 2026 (UTC)
:::Hmmm… weird. I’ll look into it shortly. ~2026-28874-72 ↗ (talk) 11:31, 13 May 2026 (UTC)
:::Both cases have been checked and fixed. I searched for every instance where the bot extracts data from the Wikipedia infobox. I found 11 locations where the old "break on pipe" logic was used (including parameters for clubs, years, games/goals, and even the "stats correct to" date). All 11 have been updated to the new template-aware pattern that allows pipes inside {{tq|...}}.
:::I'm doing a complete rescan now. Please let me know if you see any other issues. Cheers. Electricmaster (talk) 03:49, 14 May 2026 (UTC)
::::Cheers well done Thanks mate :) --SuperJew (talk) 07:58, 14 May 2026 (UTC)
::::It did some weird update to Parker's page ↗ (maybe because he is cricket too?) --SuperJew (talk) 08:47, 14 May 2026 (UTC)

Bot?

Your edit "Updated AFL player statistics" keeps damaging List of Greater Western Sydney Giants players ↗. Please fix the bot/script/code — GhostInTheMachine talk to me 08:32, 15 May 2026 (UTC)

:Thank you. Will address asap. ~2026-28874-72 ↗ (talk) 01:14, 16 May 2026 (UTC)
Processing now. By the way, in case you were wondering, this was an unintended consequence of my added rollback option, which was ironically designed to fix things in case they went wrong but got cross-wired. Short-term pain for long-term gain, I guess. Thanks for your vigilance.

Infobox errors

Hi there, just a heads up that your updates damaged the infobox at six AFL player articles just now through removal of the ending brackets. I've fixed them, just wanted to let you know in case something automated had gone awry. Cheers, Jessicapierce (talk) 17:39, 1 June 2026 (UTC)

:Thanks. Can you please list the problematic pages? I’ll fix this asap. ~2026-28874-72 ↗ (talk) 00:50, 2 June 2026 (UTC)
::As I said, I fixed the errors, but the articles were Kallan Dawson ↗, Alex Cincotta ↗, Angus McLennan ↗, Jacob Blight ↗, Luamon Lual ↗, and Jimmy Webster ↗. Jessicapierce (talk) 02:38, 2 June 2026 (UTC)
:::Okay, I think it's fixed now. Please let me know if this issue or any others get caught in the future. Cheers. Electricmaster (talk) 08:39, 2 June 2026 (UTC)

Hello

I saw your a member for Wikiproject:AFL and there's a player for West Adelaide in 1897 I think is in the scope of the project Albert Wright (Australian cricketer) ↗ Ashie6213 (talk) 01:53, 8 June 2026 (UTC)

:Hello. Thanks for reaching out. I'm just a bit unclear in terms of how Albert Wright fits into the project; could you please clarify what you're suggesting? Cheers. Electricmaster (talk) 04:32, 8 June 2026 (UTC)
::He was an A-grade footballer for West Adelaide ↗ starting in the 1897 season. Ashie6213 (talk) 07:46, 8 June 2026 (UTC)
:::I understand. Just wondering how and where you'd like to include it. :) Electricmaster (talk) 09:20, 8 June 2026 (UTC)

:Just a note that the intention behind this was to request citations for stats updated ahead of the AFL Tables database. I’ve now taken the effort to assume good faith for instances where a player’s game total is exactly one (but no more) than the AFL Tables count, without requiring an additional citation. My logic was that people could add a citation to a news report or some other real-time stats summary, but I was on the fence about it even at the time, and the citation would typically automatically resolve within a couple of days or so anyway. ~2026-28874-72 ↗ (talk) 06:11, 20 June 2026 (UTC)
