Hypercorrection
Hello, Encyclopedant. I have removed the section "Spelling", which you added to Hypercorrection ↗. I have read and taught about hypercorrection in linguistics and language-learning, but have never come across a description of the sort of misspelling-by-analogy that you describe as a form of hypercorrection. If such descriptions exist, please re-add the information and cite a relevant book, article, etc. Thanks, and happy editing, Cnilep (talk) 06:39, 13 September 2011 (UTC)
I am not a linguist, but spelling hypercorrection seemed to me an obvious omission from the discussion on the page.
In fact spelling hypercorrection is discussed in august references.
Perhaps you could look around, convince yourself that it makes sense and add it back to the page in a way that you would find satisfactory.
A simple Google search finds stuff like this: http://oxforddictionaries.com/definition/hypercorrection ↗. Encyclopedant (talk) 01:36, 22 December 2011 (UTC)
