About your edits to the Southern Television broadcast intrusion article
Hi Endlesspumpkin! I've noticed that you added newspaper reports at the time as sources for the article mentioned above. The issue (for me) is that most of the ones you added are locked behind a subscription or paywall. Do you mind taking screenshots of them and sending them to me for me to read personally? Thank you!
P.S. I also noticed that you mentioned someone on Wikipedia claimed to have a "World's Greatest" book containing a transcript of the hijack. Have you tried contacting this user or mind telling me who this user was?
-LB ~2026-23470-50 ↗ (talk) 01:42, 7 June 2026 (UTC)
:The user who claimed to have the book was @Nea10086, who made 4 edits in 2009 and hasn't been seen since. I decided it wasn't likely I'd get an answer, but who knows. Maybe they'd get a notification email of a comment on their talk page and feel inclined to check it out.
:It's really irritating that the sources are paywalled. I have access to them ''because'' of wikipedia, actually. If you make over 500 edits and 10 per month you get access to the wikipedia library, which has a wealth of normally paywalled newspaper, archival, and academic resources. strongly recommend it. :)
:I did actually find some of them as screenshots on a random tumblr blog, which is obviously paywall free (though I think you need an account to view some posts? I think I remember having some issues), but unfortunately also not at all suitable for a wikipedia citation (but having compared them to the originals they're legit). I can dig it out of my browser history, if you want. Endlesspumpkin (talk) 10:07, 7 June 2026 (UTC)
::Hi! Thank you for the reply! Do send that Tumblr post.

:::Enjoy! Incidentally, I forced myself to listen to the podcast about interruption that people keep trying to add to the page. By and large it's excruciating listening but I do believe he stumbled onto the correct answer, despite his best efforts. Some old broadcast pirate friends were talking in a facebook group and named the hoaxer as Bob Tomalski ↗. Everything else about the podcast though makes it clear that it is absolutely not a reliable source as far as wikipedia is concerned. The podcast's renamed itself as Archive, and 'The Interruption' is season one. If you're interested you can very safely skip the first six episodes and just listen to 7-9. Endlesspumpkin (talk) 15:22, 7 June 2026 (UTC)
::::Thank you for the response again! Speaking of the Interruption podcast, it was mentioned in episode three that there was a UFO newsletter publication called "Viewpoint Aquarius", and that its January 1978 issue contained a transcript of the hijacking which mistakenly refers to the speaker as "Gramaha" and the Ashtar Galactic Command as the Ashdown Galactic Command. Unfortunately, this specific issue is nowhere online to my knowledge. Maybe try looking for it in a library if you're in the UK?
::::-LB ~2026-23470-50 ↗ (talk) 19:35, 7 June 2026 (UTC)
:::::The 'Ashdown' Galactic command appears in a couple of newspapers, too, but Gramaha seems reserved for UFO groups/sites (who I assume all got it from Viewpoint Aquarius) I couldn't find a copy of the newsletter, but I'm pretty sure the transcript is this one ↗. The publication is from 2007, but the transcript is in an article about Rex Dutta, who founded Viewpoint Aquarius. Endlesspumpkin (talk) 08:08, 8 June 2026 (UTC)
::::::Hi, it's me again on another account. :) The transcript that you linked me to is extremely similar to the one in the recording from MB21, which means that Dutta somehow was able to obtain a recording of the intrusion in some form. I also noticed that in between the lines: "Be still and listen, for your chance may not come again. All your weapons of evil must be removed..." there is an entire paragraph added to the transcript that elaborates on the dangers of nuclear weapons. This either means: 1. Dutta just randomly just decided to add an entire paragraph about nuclear energy for literally no reason whatsoever, or 2. the audio of the intrusion circulating online had that supposed part of the broadcast cut out, possibly to keep the recording shorter. This might be a little far fetched, or maybe even a bit immoral, but considering Dutta passed away decades ago, is it possible to contact his relatives to find out if they still possess the recording?
::::::-LB ~2026-34491-07 ↗ (talk) 00:14, 12 June 2026 (UTC)
:::::::I don't think it would be ''immoral'' to contact his family, but certainly a long shot – what they are perhaps more likely to be able to give you is a copy of the actual issue of VA (though after this much time I wouldn't hold out ''too'' much hope). Finding out how to get into contact with relatives might be the hardest part.
:::::::Other potential avenues you could explore would be to contact the person who wrote the Independent article that contains the transcript currently used, and ask them what they did to verify that it's the real thing. Contacting various UFO/Theosophy groups in the UK might also be an option. Hypothetically there should be a decent number of people still alive who remember working/talking to him. It's just a matter of being able to find them.
:::::::Incidentally, according to WorldCat ↗ There are copies of Viewpoint Aquarius in a University of Oxford library and in the National Library of Scotland. I'll see what I can do about getting hold of a copy. Nice to know that they're archived somewhere, though. Endlesspumpkin (talk) 09:24, 12 June 2026 (UTC)
::::::::Hi, I'm back on another temporary account again (I don't have access to my main computer at the moment).
::::::::In regards to the Viewpoint Aquarius magazine, try to look for either the Jan. 1978 issue or the Jul./Aug. 1986 issue. I don't know how you would share it though, maybe take pictures of the pages and turn it into a .pdf? If so, I would recommend uploading it to the Internet Archive so that it can be used as a citation on the article.
::::::::Regarding contacting Dutta's family/acquaintances, there was one person on the Interruption (Archive) podcast that Trelawny (the main presenter of said podcast) managed to talk to who claimed to help Dutta investigate the Southern Television interruption after it had happened (Dutta was one of the first people to try to independently investigate the interruption). It was also mentioned in the podcast that this particular person watched the interruption live when it happened at his friend's apartment. He also had a Twitter account that I forgot the username of but it was something like "starboy23". The podcast episode in question was episode three if you want to find his actual username and contact him. I'm not sure if he'll have the recording of the broadcast but I'm fairly certain he might have that Viewpoint Aquarius issue.

::::::::Hi! Any updates on getting a hold of the Viewpoint Aquarius issue? :)
::::::::-LB ~2026-23470-50 ↗ (talk) 16:31, 25 June 2026 (UTC)
:::::::::Hey, not yet. I don't have a twitter and am kinda loathe to make one, but I may be in a position to visit a relevant archive in about a month. :) Endlesspumpkin (talk) 20:27, 29 June 2026 (UTC)
::::::::::Alright man, keep me posted! ;)

Thank you!
I wasn't reading carefully and didn't see "Cronus" listed in the alternate genealogy. Entirely my mistake. Jaguarnik (talk) 17:50, 9 June 2026 (UTC)
:No worries. I'll shift Cronus to the front of the list to make it clearer anyway. :) Endlesspumpkin (talk) 18:31, 9 June 2026 (UTC)
help
this may seem very random but I saw you were editing the Wikipedia page for Hesperides in the name keeps popping up for me and it’s really hard for me to understand what the real story is. I don’t know anything about Greek mythology and I’m wondering what this sign could mean. ~2026-38796-04 ↗ (talk) 15:55, 8 July 2026 (UTC)
:Hi, I'm not sure I follow what you mean. Which story are you trying to understand?
:Details of Greek myths are rather fluid, and the details can vary so much between different ancient sources. It certainly can be confusing at times. Endlesspumpkin (talk) 16:10, 8 July 2026 (UTC)
