Speedy deletion nomination of Admiralty buildings
Hello FredWalsh,
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Admiralty buildings ↗ for deletion, because it seems to be copied from another source ↗, probably infringing copyright.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to rewrite it in your own words, you can <span class="plainlinks">'''[//en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title={{urlencode:Talk:Admiralty buildings}}&action=edit§ion=new&preload=Template:Hangon_preload&preloadtitle=This+page+should+not+be+speedy+deleted+because...+ contest this deletion]'''</span>, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.
You can leave a note on my talk page ↗ if you have questions. Thanks!

Copywithin
Thanks for identifying the source of the material in your edit ↗.
This type of edit does get picked up by Copy Patrol ↗ and a good edit summary helps to make sure we don't accidentally revert it. However, for future use, would you note the best practices wording as outlined at Wikipedia:Copying_within_Wikipedia ↗? In particular, adding the phrase "see that page's history for attribution" helps ensure that proper attribution is preserved.
I've noticed that this guideline is not very well known, even among editors with tens of thousands of edits, so it isn't surprising that I point this out to some veteran editors, but there are some t's that need to be crossed.<span style="color:#000E2F;padding:0 4px;font-family: Copperplate Gothic Light">S Philbrick</span><span style=";padding:0 4px;color:# 000;font-family: Copperplate Gothic Light">(Talk)</span> 22:32, 7 October 2022 (UTC)

Categories as tags
My problem with your adding of river articles to :Category:Environment Agency ↗ is that the category is not defining. There is no '''hierarchical''' relationship between (for example) the Dee Estuary ↗ and the Environment Agency. There are lots of things related to the Dee Estuary that have nothing to do with the Environment Agency, and lots of things about the Environment Agency that are nothing to do with the Dee Estuary. The fact that the EA is the conservation authority for the river is an incidental detail: it doesn't define the river. You are using categories as if they were tags, which is explicitly discouraged at WP:CATSPECIFIC ↗: {{tq|Important: All categories form part of a tree-like hierarchy. Do not add categories to pages as if they are tags.}} If you really want to do this, you could create a new category called something like "Waterways managed by the Environment Agency" (or whatever the correct legal formulation is), make it a subcategory of <nowiki>Category:Environment Agency ↗</nowiki>, and put the relevant waterway articles in there. Dave.Dunford (talk) 09:35, 25 February 2026 (UTC)
:{{ping|Dave.Dunford}} Hmm... Not sure I agree with your interpretation. Management of a river (whether conservation or navigation) would seem to be very relevant characteristics. However, in the interests of collegiality, I'll do as you suggested. FredWalsh (talk) 13:44, 25 February 2026 (UTC)
::Thank you. It's not so much the importance or relevance of the management that concerns me, as the lack of a hierarchical relationship. Dave.Dunford (talk) 14:22, 25 February 2026 (UTC)
:::@FredWalsh I also raise this concern. Can you please review how categorization works as well as Wikipedia:Epon ↗ before adding more categories. SMasonGarrison 13:11, 14 April 2026 (UTC)

Hi FredWalsh. Thank you for your work on Schools of the University of Cambridge ↗. Another editor, Klbrain, has reviewed it as part of new pages patrol ↗ and left the following comment:
{{Bq|1=Thanks for creating this list as an acknowledged copy from University of Cambridge ↗. Given the length of the Cambridge article, it seems reasonable to list the schools separately; this is appropriately structured in WP:SUMMARY ↗ format.}}
To reply, leave a comment here and begin it with {{code|<nowiki>{{Re|</nowiki>Klbrain<nowiki>}}</nowiki>}}. <small>(Message delivered via the Page Curation ↗ tool, on behalf of the reviewer.)</small><!-- Template:Sentnote-NPF -->
