There are many factual claims and large swathes of articles that are wholly uncited. If verifiability is so important, than surely the Wikipedia community must concern itself, at once and with the utmost urgency, with editing all of these minor articles or removing them?
I quickly learned that there's a very small and territorial group of folks who actively monitor and revert any changes, regardless of merit.
