Question from Zafarkhanentertainment (08:42, 4 July 2026)
I’d like to start a Wikipedia page --Zafarkhanentertainment (talk) 08:42, 4 July 2026 (UTC)
:Heya, @Zafarkhanentertainment and welcome to Wikipedia! Writing a brand new article is one of the hardest things to do here—I highly suggest trying out some of the tasks on your homepage ↗ first, to help you familiarize yourself with some of our basic policies and guidelines. That said, what would you like to create a Wikipedia page about? GoldRomean (talk) 16:33, 4 July 2026 (UTC)
Question from Jesamazing (00:59, 7 July 2026)
Heya! I only signed up to put up a better picture of my cousin on his wiki. The one they have is literally the back of his head. But I’m not seeing how to add photos. Should I do that through a link? --Jesamazing (talk) 00:59, 7 July 2026 (UTC)
:Hi, @Jesamazing, and welcome to Wikipedia! You're probably looking for :commons:Special:UploadWizard ↗, which allows you to upload images to Wikimedia Commons ↗ to then use on Wikipedia. The form should take you through all of the proper steps—let me know if you run into any trouble or have any further questions :). Cheers, GoldRomean (talk) 03:26, 7 July 2026 (UTC)
Question from Duba Jr (22:51, 7 July 2026)
I need to post my pictures --Duba Jr (talk) 22:51, 7 July 2026 (UTC)
:Hiya, @Duba Jr! If you are referring to pictures of yourself, you should <strong>not</strong> post such images on Wikipedia: this is a public website and anything you upload here will be public for anyone on the internet to view. I highly encourage you to read Wikipedia:Guidance for younger editors ↗—let me know if you have any further questions about editing :). Best, GoldRomean (talk) 23:24, 7 July 2026 (UTC)
Question from KnockThreeTimes Editor (10:47, 9 July 2026)
Hi!
I work for a PR agency and don't want to cause issues with any conflicts of interest. Our client, has asked about getting their logo updated on the brand page. I know you have to have an approved account to upload trademarked assets, so was wondering what the best approach to this would be. Link to coverage citing the re-brand.
Secondly, we are a new agency and don't currently have a Wiki page. Would I be allowed to create the first page for us? Obviously there's a conflict of interest with me being an employee, but I'd only write about things that have independent third-party sources. Could I create a very simple "this is us" without any fluff around it so we have a starting point? Or should I request a page through some other channel?
Sorry to bombard you with a long message! Would really appreciate your guidance here as I think Wikipedia is an incredible platform and I wouldn't want to cause any issues.
Thank you
--KnockThreeTimes Editor (talk) 10:47, 9 July 2026 (UTC)
:Hi, @KnockThreeTimes Editor, and welcome to Wikipedia!<p>Regarding the logo, you should be able to follow the process and instructions at Wikipedia:Files for upload ↗ to request that a new logo be uploaded. To address your second point, creating a new article from scratch is extremely challenging and very difficult to do, especially for new users. If you're still interested in doing so, you should follow the process at Wikipedia:Your first article ↗ and WP:PAID ↗—in short, make sure to disclose your status as a paid employee and create a draft page to submit at articles for creation ↗ instead of publishing directly. Be warned that <em>very few</em> companies meet Wikipedia's guidelines for inclusion ↗, and significant coverage ↗ in reliable ↗, independent ↗ secondary sources is required. If you want to request that an article be created, feel free to head over to Wikipedia:Requested articles ↗ instead.<p>I know this can be a lot, so feel free to let me know if you have any other questions :). Best, GoldRomean (talk) 17:53, 9 July 2026 (UTC)
::{{talk page stalker}} <small>User "KnockThreeTimes Editor" was renamed to "Ahead Asteroids"</small>
::{{ping|GoldRomean}} I would actually advise ''against'' users attempting the requested articles ↗ list, as it has been severely backlogged for years to the point of uselessness.
::{{ping|Ahead Asteroids}} You could try using the Articles for Creation ↗ process instead. However, as GoldRomean correctly points out, your company would have to meet Wikipedia's notability criteria for companies ↗ to merit inclusion. Your own company's press releases, partner-published mentions, promotional trade publications ↗ or announcements of routine business activities ↗ won't count towards establishing notability. --Drm310 <span style="color:red">🍁</span> (talk) 12:26, 10 July 2026 (UTC)

انا بدي ابتعلك كلام وانت تحط لحن --فوزي الدويلي (talk) 18:32, 9 July 2026 (UTC)
:{{bcc|فوزي_الدويلي}}Hi! Unfortunately, I can only help you with questions in English regarding editing the English Wikipedia—the note on your talk page is a great place to start if you're interested in, for example, checking out the Arabic Wikipedia :).

You're invited to the Mentorship noticeboard
Hi, GoldRomean. You are cordially invited to the brand new Wikipedia:Mentorship noticeboard ↗. I get the impression sometimes that we mentors are each toiling in our own cubbyhole or hamster wheel, quietly answering mentee questions with little to no interaction with other mentors. I think we have a lot to share and learn from each other, and I know it will make me feel better just having the opportunity to interact with you and other mentors there, and I hope it will for you, too. Looking forward to hearing your feedback. Please take the {{slink|WP:MNB|Survey|nopage=yes}} when you get there! Mathglot (talk) 03:00, 11 July 2026 (UTC)
