License tagging for Image:Wooworld.jpg
Thanks for uploading :Image:Wooworld.jpg ↗. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags ↗ to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list ↗, click on this link ↗, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.
For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions ↗. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 05:07, 27 January 2008 (UTC)

Godmoma
left|48px| ↗
A proposed deletion ↗ template has been added to the article Godmoma ↗, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion ↗, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not ↗" and Wikipedia's deletion policy ↗). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the <code>{{tl|dated prod}}</code> notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page ↗. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process ↗, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria ↗ or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion ↗, where it may be deleted if consensus ↗ to delete is reached. If you agree with the deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please add <code>{{tl|db-author}}</code> to the top of Godmoma ↗. <!-- Template:PRODWarning --> Martijn Hoekstra (talk) 22:12, 18 March 2008 (UTC)
:Hi again. I did a lot of work on the article, and I removed the "PROD" (proposed deletion) tag from the article. It still may be nominated for deletion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion ↗, so please try to improve the article. In particular, try to add anything that shows that Godmoma meets any of the criteria in Wikipedia:Notability (music)#Criteria for musicians and ensembles ↗.
:Also, if you know of any sources, please add them, particularly if they meet Wikipedia's guidelines for verifiable ↗ reliable sources ↗. Sources don't have to be on-line; old magazine and newspaper articles are fine. — Malik Shabazz ↗ (talk ↗ '''·''' contribs ↗) 23:33, 18 March 2008 (UTC)

Your uploads
Good day. I see that you have uploaded a number of images to Wikipedia. First off, thank you for your contributions. Unfortunately, there are some guidelines that we need to follow with copyrighted images. Specifically, you need to add a source for the image (a link to a website will do), a copyright tag (there are some listed at WP:ICT ↗), and a rationale explaining why we can use a copyrighted image (explained at WP:NFURG ↗). I see that your images fail to include one of these. Please stop uploading images and address the concerns listed above. If you need assistance, you can ask at the help desk ↗. If you do not fix these images, and you continue to make bad uploads, you will be blocked and your images will be deleted. Categories
Hi. Thank you for the great work you've been doing on all the P-Funk related articles in recent weeks. It's been incredible!
Please don't change the categories for Lifestyles Of The Roach And Famous ↗ and Federation Of Tackheads ↗. Those albums were released by INCorporated Thang Band and Jimmy G and the Tackheads respectively, and belong in categories of albums by those artists. The only albums that should be in :Category:P-Funk albums ↗ are those that were released under the names "P-Funk" or "P-Funk All-Stars".
You can see that :Category:INCorporated Thang Band albums ↗ and :Category:Jimmy G and the Tackheads albums ↗ are both sub-categories of :Category:P-Funk albums ↗, which is appropriate, as both groups were largely made up of P-Funk members. Likewise, :Category:Brides of Funkenstein albums ↗ and :Category:Parlet albums ↗ are also sub-categories of :Category:P-Funk albums ↗, because the performers in those groups were also largely P-Funk members. Image without license
Unspecified source for :Image:Mikehampton95.jpg ↗
70px|left ↗
Thanks for uploading ''':Image:Mikehampton95.jpg ↗'''. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright ↗ status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{Tl|GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL ↗. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use ↗, use a tag such as {{tlp|non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use ↗. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags ↗ for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. Pictures
Hi.
I've noticed that your promotional pictures keep getting removed. The reason is that Wikipedia doesn't allow the use of promotional photos for living people. Please see WP:NONFREE ↗, particularly #12 under WP:NONFREE#Images 2 ↗.
In general, the only acceptable pictures for living people are those that are "free" (unrestricted by copyright). — Malik Shabazz ↗ (talk ↗ '''·''' contribs ↗) 04:25, 4 August 2008 (UTC)

70px|left ↗
Thanks for uploading :Image:Kiddfunkadelic95.jpg ↗. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag ↗, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{tl|PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{tlx|self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here ↗ - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

Speedy deletion of :Dope Dogs ↗
48px|left ↗ A tag has been placed on :Dope Dogs ↗ requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion ↗, because the article appears to be about a band, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion ↗, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable ↗, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for musical topics ↗.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding <code>{{tl|hangon}}</code> to '''the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion ↗''' (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on '''the talk page ↗''' explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for ''speedy'' deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins ↗ to request that a copy be emailed to you. <!-- Template:Db-band-notice --> <!-- Template:Db-csd-notice-custom --> '''Mister Senseless™''' (Speak ↗ - Contributions ↗) 01:45, 14 October 2008 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for File:Northseajazz.jpg
70px|left ↗
Thanks for uploading or contributing to :File:Northseajazz.jpg ↗. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use ↗ but there is no explanation or rationale ↗ as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template ↗, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here ↗.
Please go to the image description page ↗ and edit it to include a fair use rationale ↗. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline ↗ is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. Replaceable fair use Image:Boot77.jpg
32px|left|Replaceable fair use ↗
Thanks for uploading ''':Image:Boot77.jpg ↗'''. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use ↗, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion ↗ in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:
# Go to the media description page ↗ and edit it to add {{tlx|di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, '''without deleting the original replaceable fair use template'''.
# On the image discussion page ↗, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license ↗, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. File permission problem with File:Homepic.jpg
64px|left ↗
Thanks for uploading ''':File:Homepic.jpg ↗'''. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.
If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to '''{{NoSpamEmail|permissions-en|wikimedia.org}}''', stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here ↗.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to '''{{NoSpamEmail|permissions-en|wikimedia.org}}'''.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content ↗, use a tag such as {{tlp|non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use ↗, and add a rationale ↗ justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. Fair use rationale for File:Ehpalladium.jpg
64px|left ↗
Thanks for uploading or contributing to ''':File:Ehpalladium.jpg ↗'''. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use ↗ but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page ↗ and edit it to include a fair use rationale ↗.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions ↗" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion ↗. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page ↗. Thank you.<!-- Template:Di-no fair use rationale-notice --> ww2censor (talk) 15:37, 12 August 2010 (UTC)
Speedy deletion ↗ nomination of :Gohead ↗
48px|left ↗ A tag has been placed on :Gohead ↗ requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A9 of the criteria for speedy deletion ↗, because the article appears to be about a musical recording which does not indicate why its subject is important or significant, and where the artist's article has never existed, has been deleted or is eligible for deletion itself. Under the criteria for speedy deletion ↗, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable ↗, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for music ↗.<!-- Template:Db-a9-notice -->
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding <code>{{tl|hangon}}</code> to '''the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion ↗''' (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on '''the talk page ↗''' explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for ''speedy'' deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins ↗ to request that they userfy ↗ the page or have a copy emailed to you. Formatting issues
I am going to give you a list of things that were incorectly formatted on your created article, [''[The Best of the Early Years, Vol. 1]]''.
- Do not bold the title. It's only supposed to be bolded in the first sentence of the article.
- Italicize all instances of the album.
- Do not use capitals such as '''SIDE ONE''' and '''SIDE TWO'''. Just '''Side one''' will suffice.
- Do not format the song titles like this: "#Cosmic Slop-" (with the dash). It's unnecessary.
- The Personnel section is supposed to look like this ↗. Not one big long paragraph of the band member's names.
- Any 'track list' header should be titled "Track listing", not "Tracks".
Please see WP:MOSALBUM ↗, the wikipedia album style guide for more formatting guidelines. I work to keep things consistent in terms of all album articles. Please don't think I'm being rude. File source and copyright licensing problem with File:George4.jpg
64px|left|File Copyright problem|link= ↗
Thanks for uploading ''':File:George4.jpg ↗'''. However, it currently is missing information on its '''copyright''' status and its '''source'''. Wikipedia takes copyright ↗ very seriously.
If you did not create this work entirely yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. You will also need to state under what licensing terms it was released. Please refer to the '''image use policy ↗''' to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on '''copyright tags ↗''' may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file.
Please add this information by editing the image description page ↗. If the necessary information is not added within the next seven days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion ↗ and ask for a chance to fix the problem.<!-- Template:You can request undeletion -->
