Your Revision to Bong Coo

Hi Hariboneagle927,

You are right in the subjective claims made to Bong Coo during this Women's month. I reverted the paragraph to earlier editions between 25 September 2016‎ and 3 September 2018‎ that you reviewed then. In that edition, a Philippine Law passed by the legislature about the classifications of national athletes based on merit was cited, hence the distinction about number of titles, sex and discipline. I also removed the inline citation since it was already placed in the Further Reading area.

I think the titles and or records are listed in the references mentioned and in the Further reading section that can be placed in the reference area if need be.

Philippines at the Olympics

Hello, I’ve really worked hard on this page and I don’t like that you interrupt my work.
It looks better in my opinion and showing the past flags in previous Olympic years will show to the readers how it looked like back then. It’s important to preserve the past and every time you erase it, you erase the past so readers might think that the flag didn’t change, but it was!

:This is a superficial change. As you can see its not really just me who thinks the case suggesting that you really do not have a consensus to implement your desired changes. In my opinion, the Philippines' flag timeline is not comparable to a whole Soviet Union to Russia transition. Its superficial and is just a change of hue and proportions. And the individual specific Philippines at the X Olympics do already display the flag used at a time.

Pictograms

Hi, you changed the pictograms I uploaded for 2026 ABG events saying ''Not the official pictogram. Its with the deer mascot. And we have free alternatives available''. first those were indeed official pictograms, look at the PDF results (any PDF from any sport) and you see them on the top right of each PDF. those mascots look cute but I prefer consistency and using the Olympic pages as my references. in wikipedia it's more common to use the pictograms, not the mascot. and if you check all multi-sport events, (Olympics etc) the official pictogram is what you see on the PDF results which is the official document. I saw that you are editing the Philippines national baseball team page.

Kindly consider adding '''Bill Picketts'''. Similar to Terry Butcher, he was named manager but never officially managed a game for the national team because of COVID-19 and the cancellation of the '''WBC 2023 Qualifiers (March 13–18, 2020)'''.

When the event was moved to September 30, 2022, the Philippines was replaced by Argentina. Bill Picketts had a two-year contract (2020–2021), but the Philippines did not play any official games during that period, and his contract eventually expired.

Also, you may want to use Baseball Reference for the other missing managers you edited. Later, Keiji Katayama replaced Bill Picketts as manager of the national team, but they also did not have official games, which is probably why there are no articles about him.

Again we cannot really verify your information, normal Wikipedia editors are not privy to PABA contracts and records and WP:VERIFY ↗. Wikipedia is not really the place to publish first-hand information, ideally it only relies on what is published on third party sources.

While they proclaim to be free speech absolutists, they have been heavily criticized on their position as anti-woke and red-tagging. I am coming here to you in good faith and with respect, things I hope you can give to me as well. In the deletion discussion for Deaths of Divine Adili and Rene Baterbonia ↗, many people were claiming that their deaths were just news and had no significance outside routine news cycles. Most of the things you tagged as "undue weight" were ''my'' contributions, as someone living in Europe who was convinced by these sources that this subject does indeed have social significance beyond a single incident.<br>You can see in the AfD that the tide is turning now because of all the essays and columns. You have to understand that people living outside the Philippines cannot see half of the reactions you probably see or experience right now. Instead of calling the article a "mess" or something that "reeks," kindly tell me what exactly about it you take issue with. Because with literally any other incident, you will find detailed sections like this, e.g. Suicide_of_Amanda_Todd#Reaction ↗.<br>

:Its not meant to be a personal insult but a comment on the writing style. I do not intend to single out a specific user nor did made a name drop. I'm not going to delve on the word choices. its unproductive and instead go straight tell you my POV.
:I have laid out my concern on the article talk page as well and at the age of AI, I feel like we are elevating specific sources to do some broad claims like "ABS-CBN describe the issue as a "national concern"" which is true but I felt its kinda off to mention ABS-CBN specifically. Which I later found out is Stuff quoting the government sports department chairman saying its a "national concern" that coach Tab Baldwin has not responded as said in ABS-CBN rather than ABS-CBN speaking as an institution. So that's where I'm coming from. And frankly to keep, the current reaction section in the drowning incident to put it tactfully is less cohesive and indiscriminate in comparison to Suicide of Amanda Todd ↗ but I suppose its cause the drowning incident to be fair is developing story.
:I want the article to be kept. And obviously from somewhere there I care and I do appreciate the intent on your contribution even if we don't see eye-to-eye in how to approach it.
