Why was this page declined
Hi @HitroMilanese Could you please drop an email as to why this page has been declined as all the relevant fields have been put up as per the existing rules of Wikipedia SSChhetri (talk) 09:30, 16 June 2024 (UTC)
:@SSChhetri
:Hi there,
:Unfortunately, your article has been declined for several reasons.
:Firstly, the subject of your article does not meet Wikipedia's notability guidelines. For inclusion, subjects must satisfy the criteria outlined in the general notability guideline ↗ and the specific notability guideline for authors WP:NAUTHOR ↗. Please review these guidelines carefully.
:Secondly, a significant portion of the draft lacks proper sourcing. To demonstrate notability and ensure verifiability, it is essential to include references from independent and reliable sources ↗. You also need to see WP:REFBEG ↗ for placing your citations properly at the end of sentences.
:Additionally, it appears that the article may be an autobiography. Autobiographies are generally discouraged on Wikipedia because maintaining neutrality and verifiability is challenging, and there are numerous potential issues associated with self-written entries.
:I hope this explanation clarifies the reasons for the decline. Regards. Hitro talk ↗ 18:10, 17 June 2024 (UTC)
PAR Technology Draft AfC
Hi there, thank you for reviewing my first Wikipedia article submission!
For some background/context, I had initially tabled my suggestion to the Deletion review folks here who seemed open to having a draft submitted: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Deletion_review/Log/2024_June_13
I understood that my article may have read more like an advertisement. I had tried to be as simple and objective as possible with my language, and to cite reputable independent sources for my content to demonstrate notability. Any feedback would be welcomed on which parts may have sounded like an ad. Maybe I missed the mark being too detailed to try and showcase notability? Happy to delete and edit it as necessary. :Hello there,
:The version of the draft that I declined was promotional. I see that CSD has been declined after your improvement. :Hello there,
:Firstly, it appears that you have either written an autobiography or have a significant conflict of interest (COI ↗) with the subject. COI editing is discouraged on Wikipedia. I have left a message on your talk page regarding COI; please read it along with the associated links. Drafts with potential COI must go through the Articles for Creation (AfC) process.
:Secondly, many of the claims in your draft lack proper sourcing. Please refer to Wikipedia's verifiability policy ↗ and support your statements with citations from independent and reliable sources ↗. Additionally, see the guidelines on inline citations ↗ and ensure that citations are placed correctly at the end of the relevant sentences, rather than clustered at the bottom of the draft.
:I would like to note that the notability of the subject has not been challenged. The primary issue is the lack of references. Please address these concerns and resubmit your draft for another review.

AfC dispute: Roger Bright
Hi! I would like to dispute your recent rejection of the AfC draft for Roger Bright. You claimed he does not fill Wikipedia's notability requirements for musicians, however he fulfills the following requirements as I explain in the brackets following the requirement:
# Has been the subject of multiple, non-trivial, published works appearing in sources that are reliable ↗, not self-published ↗, and are independent of ↗ the musician or ensemble itself [he has full page articles about himself from the International Polka Association, the Cleveland-Style Polka Hall of Fame, and the Racine Journal Times, among others]
# Has released two or more albums on a major record label ↗ or on one of the more important indie labels (i.e., an independent label with a history of more than a few years, and with a roster of performers, many of whom are independently notable) [has released 35 records on Cuca Records ↗, an important independent record label]
# Is an ensemble that contains two or more independently notable musicians, or is a musician who has been a reasonably prominent member of two or more independently notable ensembles [He has performed in ensembles with Joey Miskulin ↗, Frankie Yankovic ↗, and Slavko Avsenik ↗, all of whom are independently notable musicians]
# Has become one of the most prominent representatives of a notable style or the most prominent of the local scene of a city [the most prominent representative of both the city of New Glarus ↗ and of polka music in New Glarus]
# Has won first, second, or third place in a major music competition [Not strictly a competition, but I believe being inducted into 3 different Polka Hall of Fames counts as "winning" those competitions]
# Has performed music for a work of media that is notable, such as a theme for a network television show, performance in a television show or notable film, inclusion on a notable compilation album [has performed on the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson ↗, the Phil Donahue Show ↗, and the Charlotte Peters ↗ Show, among others]
A musician is notable for Wikipedia if they meet at least one of those requirements, and Roger Bright meets six. I resubmitted my article, so I hope you take the chance to reassess your decision. Thanks! Zhuvelo (talk) 16:47, 7 August 2024 (UTC)
Draft:Garrett_Armfield
Hello,
First of all thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I see you are the editor of UFC Bantamweight Garrett Armfield's draft. I have edited the draft and added references to the text which was originally written by the fighter himself. I have had issues with his last fight: I added it, but the row was added horizontally instead of vertically.
If you'd be so kind as to help me with it, I would really appreciate it, and I am sure Garrett Armfield (who is aware of my effort to get his Wikipedia article up) would be, too.

Reason for creating page
Hi, sir. The main reason for creating this page is recognition. That actor voiced the characters of the most popular Indian produced animation tv series which ran for more than 5 years including films. While searching the internet for his interviews and articles, I found that there is photo of another Bengali actor with same name, instead of this comedian in the Motu Patlu cast and crew page. That is a big mistake people will think that Bengali actor's contribution while the real one is unkown. So I am still searching for official sites mentioning his works and similar things to make his Wikipedia page approved. Menarie221 (talk) 05:45, 20 October 2024 (UTC)

Thank you for taking the time to review this article. I am just not understanding how to meet the "significant coverage" bar here. Johnny's works have been reviewed in quite a few online and paper magazines (https://johnnyrayjones.com/press). There are 37 links to verifyable reviews of his past three CD releases. They are all independant sources, though most of them are small publishers (blues magazines or blues music related websites). They are all secondardy and independant. Should I just link to that press page in the article as a reference? Or are those kinds of music reviews just not meeting the bar for "significant coverage"? It just seems odd that some of the musicians that played on his albums have very short wikipedia pages with no CDs of their own released, only "appeared on" credits, but not the main guy. I feel like I'm missing something or just did something wrong in the way I wrote the article, I'm not very experienced with wikipedia biography authoring.

Hi @HitroMilanese,
I'm sorry for not responding to your message on my talk page. Initially, the message does appear like a warning or an advice, and I didn't know it would result in moving the page to draft. In such cases, for example, you wrote "Did you observe that the subject is also the article’s author? Personally, I would have declined it and requested additional references. Please be mindful of your Schumacher's level velocity, as it may not be beneficial to the project. Regards", and I think that the question is somewhat off since I accessed all the sources. Personal thinking may not be the scope of the encyclopedia, and per AFC, we should try as much as possible to help new editors. Belive me, its rare to see new editors <s>wrote</s> write so well like that one. I loved the draft and did a WP:BEFORE ↗ (incase of AFD) before accepting, and subsequently tagging. :Hello there,
:Firstly, instead of involving a third party, if you had discussed it with me, we could have resolved the issue ↗ in a much better way. Redraftifying was not as wrong as it was made to appear. It is a part of an essay not a policy or guideline.
:Secondly, Wikipedia:Before ↗ exclusively deals with AfDs. It is out of scope of my understanding why do people bring it in discussions outside at AfDs. There is Wikipedia:BURDEN ↗ which is part of the Wikipedia's core policy. '''The burden to demonstrate verifiability lies with the editor who adds or restores material.''' So when I questioned the sourcing, it was your responsibility to demonstrate notability and refute my claims because you restored the material—not mine to take it to AfD and waste the community's time, '''specially when we are dealing with AfC drafts'''. {{tq|If what is written in the submission meets the notability guidelines ↗, but the submission lacks references to evidence this, then the underlying issue is inadequate verification ↗ and the submission should be declined for that reason.}} You can not and should not bring Wikipedia:Before ↗ or Wikipedia:NEXIST ↗ while accepting or declining drafts. I might have been wrong in assessing the sources, but one of the reference from 7 was authored by the subject, one was Wikipedia:PRIMARY ↗ from ESSTS website. Unless, I have fixed the sourcing and demonstrated the notability clearly myself, I would not have accepted it. You might have different view which we could have discussed.
:I know it is rare for new editors to write so well; at the same time, I am also aware of how well COI or paid editors write using disposable new accounts. I hope there is no disagreement on this fact.
:I do understand that you are doing good for the project which is most important. At the end of the day, it is your overall work that matters not these small disputes. Have a wonderful day ahead. Hi,
I'm puzzled by your remark in rejecting this post that the articles cited make only passing reference to the subject. The 1100-Word NYT article cited in footnote 1 is entirely about The Hunts Point Express, its reporters and editor. Moreover, the article is similar to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mott_Haven_Herald which has been on Wikipedia for years. The other citations concern the editors of the publication. I'd appreciate an explanation to help me improve the article. Adamsguy (talk) 19:27, 17 November 2024 (UTC)
:Hello there,
:I have commented on draft regarding this topic.
:Regarding the existence of similar articles, I would like to note that plenty of articles exist that probably should not. Equally, because articles must wait for someone who is interested in the subject to notice they are missing before they are created, a lot of articles do not exist that probably should. So just pointing out that an article on a similar subject exists does not prove that the article in question should also exist; it is quite possible that the other article should also be deleted but nobody has noticed it and listed it for deletion yet. Inquiry About Feedback on Draft Submission
Dear HitroMilanese,
Thank you for taking the time to review my draft submission. I understand that the initial version appeared more promotional than encyclopedic, and I have since worked on revising the content to align with Wikipedia's guidelines.
Selsmart by Attero is a notable initiative addressing the growing challenge of e-waste recycling in India. I believe this platform holds significant value in terms of environmental impact and technological innovation. I have ensured that the revised content includes reliable third-party sources and is presented in a neutral tone.
I would greatly appreciate any further feedback or guidance to ensure compliance with Wikipedia's policies. Please let me know if additional adjustments are necessary for resubmission.

Hi, and thank you for the review of my submission https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Lindie_Botes
I understand your concerns, and I have now tried to support the information previously sourced from LinkedIn by adding references to other sources. However, for content such as TV interviews, those recordings are not always preserved, and YouTube is often the only place where they remain accessible. The same applies to SoundCloud (there is only one link, by the way); it’s a podcast with a substantial following that I’ve cited. Although they also publish on other platforms like Spotify, the content is essentially the same, so I chose not to change that particular link.
With the above in mind, I kindly ask you to re-evaluate the recent changes when you have a moment. Thank you in advance! Punarinta (talk) 15:29, 5 May 2025 (UTC)

Move Draft JioStar to JioStar main space
“Move to JioStar"
That is not true, since a google search for Jiostar would lead you to hundreds of very recent articles which refer to the company as Jiostar. On the other hand, a search for Dinsey Star either leads to very few articles from 2024 mentioning the name of the company as such or mostly to totally unrelated articles about actors starring in Disney movies.
When the company calls itself Jiostar, when all news sources refer to it as Jiostar, when the audiences that this company serves know it as Jiostar, I don't understand why the wikipedia article has to be called Disney Star.
'''NOTE:- JioStar operates only in India & There is no company named Disney Star now in the world. so what's the point of keeping Disney Star article'''
first of all you can move the Draft:JioStar ↗ Draft article to JioStar ↗ main space and start redirect from Disney Star ↗ to JioStar ↗ so there will be no similar article with separate name.

::User:Ajitsinghbhagat, User:HitroMilanese - I mostly agree that AFC is not the correct way to rename articles, but DRN is not a forum to discuss acceptance of draft articles. The way to rename articles is a Move Request ↗, and I am closing the DRN ↗ request because I am recommending a Move Request ↗. DRN was a reasonable suggestion, because one of the (unofficial but actual) functions of DRN is to advise what the proper mechanism is. Robert McClenon (talk) 16:55, 16 August 2025 (UTC)

:::Hi. Thank you for your message. There has already been extensive discussion on this matter at the talk page of the Disney Star article ↗, although I was not involved in that discussion. My suggestion to take this to DRN was not based on the AfC submission but on the ongoing dispute there, and in fact one of the users also recommended DRN at the talk page. RE: Draft:Expereo
Hi Hitro,
Thank you for taking the time to review my draft. I’d like to revise it properly, but I’m not entirely sure what specific changes are needed for the article to meet the requirements for approval.
Could you please outline the concrete steps you would recommend I take to bring the draft up to an acceptable standard? For example, what should be revised, added, removed, or improved to address your concerns?
Any clear guidance you can provide would be greatly appreciated so I can make the next revision as effective as possible.
Thanks again for your help.

Hi, Hitro. I'm requesting that you, or another editor who is familiar with the WikiProject Hip-hop, take a second look at the references here - as they certainly meet the WP:MUSICBIO guidelines (specifically, criteria #1, but also criteria #7). Your comment "does not appear to..." suggests that you didn't spend any time looking at it, or are not familiar with the genre and its reputable outlets.
The subject has received repeated and sustained coverage from Minnesota Public Radio’s The Current (2018, 2022), University of Minnesota's Carbon Sound (2022, 2024), Star Tribune (Minneapolis' largest newspaper), City Pages (Minneapolis' largest magazine), First Avenue (the largest independent music venue in the country), Lyrical Lemonade, Elevator Magazine, SwidLife, Go 95.3 (KTCZ-FM), among others. These sources provide in-depth discussion of the subject’s music, live performances, releases, and career development rather than routine listings or trivial mentions.
Nearly all of these sources have Wikipedia pages of their own, which supports the assertion that my submission not being notable is unsubstantiated.
In addition, "student 1" is hyperlinked on two other notable pages, Tierra Whack ↗ and Soundset ↗, a clear signal that he was notable enough not to be omitted in the creation of those.
Coverage includes:
• Editorial features and reviews (The Current, Carbon Sound, Swidlife, Elevator Magazine)
• Festival and performance coverage (City Pages, SXSW, First Avenue)
• Broadcast interviews (Go 95.3 / KTCZ-FM)
• National tastemaker coverage (Lyrical Lemonade)
The sources span from 2017 through 2024, demonstrating ongoing relevance and a sustained public profile rather than a single promotional cycle.

Conflict of interest and sourcing request
Conflict of interest and sourcing request
I have disclosed a conflict of interest regarding the subject of this article.
I understand that the draft was declined due to insufficient independent reliable sources to establish notability. I am in the process of gathering additional third-party sources (such as newspaper coverage, exhibition catalogues, and institutional publications) related to the subject’s artistic career.
I request that an uninvolved editor review the sources listed below and incorporate them into the article as appropriate, in accordance with Wikipedia’s conflict of interest guideline.

During Phase 1, we reviewed 16,658 articles and 4,416 redirects, and there is currently a backlog of 16,475 articles and 23,782 redirects in the queue. Fantastic job! :Hello there,
:I understand that your intention is to translate the existing Portuguese page into English. However, on Wikipedia, a translation is not automatically accepted just because the original article exists in another language.
:Each language edition of Wikipedia works independently and follows its own policies and guidelines. Even if the Portuguese article has sources, those sources must still meet the English Wikipedia’s reliable source guidelines and be properly formatted according to its citation standards.

Draft: St. Anthony of Makati Montessori, Inc.
Hey there HitroMilanese!
Thank you for reviewing my draft article, Draft:St. Anthony of Makati Montessori, Inc.
I understand the concern regarding Wikipedia’s notability requirements and the need for multiple reliable, independent secondary sources. I am currently working on locating additional published coverage from reputable sources that meet these standards.
I would like to respectfully note that creating this article helps preserve the documented history and contributions of the institution as an established educational school in Makati, similar to other schools such as Don Bosco Technical Institute of Makati that are also documented on Wikipedia.
I will continue improving the draft to ensure it fully complies with Wikipedia’s guidelines. Thank you for your time and consideration.

I then removed all promotional language ("puffery"), eliminated speculative future content/timelines (WP:CRYSTAL), and added multiple independent, third-party secondary sources from established horror journalism outlets to firmly demonstrate notability. ::Hello there,
::None of the presented sources show significant coverage ↗ about the company. They are certainly reliable but they are not adding anything to the notability of the company. To be honest, these references are contributing mostly to the notability of the films that they are reviewing or discussing about. Please introduce sources that covers the company in elaborated manner, not just passing mentions. Review - Kucharek (brand)
Good afternoon,
I am writing to you with a request for help and specific guidance. I am submitting an article about the Kucharek brand (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Kucharek_(brand) for the second time, and unfortunately the text still does not meet Wikipedia’s requirements. Could you please indicate, for example, specific passages that I should remove or change so that the article can be accepted?
I am also trying to understand the mechanism behind how this type of article works. Why, for example, was Kamis (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kamis) accepted with only three sources? The first source comes from the Wayback Machine, and the second article is already quite outdated. Moreover, there is an error at the very beginning, because Kamis has not been a Polish brand for a long time.
Similarly, McCormick (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/McCormick_%26_Company), which largely uses archived sources from its own website, even though one of the arguments for rejecting the Kucharek text at some point was not to use any references in any way connected to the company.

https://web.archive.org/web/20081029055842/http://www.mccormickcorporation.com/Corporate/layouts/companyHistory1970_1979.aspx
https://web.archive.org/web/20081029055857/http://www.mccormickcorporation.com/Corporate/layouts/companyHistory2000_present.aspx
Kamis is also listed in the category of Polish brands, which is also outdated, as the brand has a branch in Poland but is owned by McCormick.

:Hello there,
:Regarding establishing notability for the draft, currently in concern, you should check WP:NCOMPANY ↗ and specially WP:CORPDEPTH ↗.
:Regarding existance of other article: - Plenty of articles exist that probably should not.
:End of the day, the drafts related to companies or brands, must meet either WP:NCOMPANY ↗ or WP:GNG ↗ for inclusion into Wikipedia.

::Thank you for your response, I have read these articles but still I feel that I need your help. Could you point out which sources and fragments of the article have to be removed or changed? DoradcaSmaku1 (talk) 11:50, 26 June 2026 (UTC)
::Also can you show me examples of brand articles which were recently added and accepted? I feel that it would be helpful to see articles which fully meet the Wikipedia requirements. DoradcaSmaku1 (talk) 11:59, 26 June 2026 (UTC)
Draft Revision
Thank you for the helpful feedback regarding the promotional tone. I have completely rewritten the draft to strictly meet Wikipedia's neutral point of view (NPOV) guidelines. I have removed all unverified claims (such as client counts), stripped out all subjective marketing language, and refocused the text purely on verified historical facts and technical services. The page is anchored by an independent national media feature in the ''Daily Mirror''. I would appreciate a fresh review of this revised, encyclopedic version. Thank you. Draft:Ljubomir Kovachev
Dear HitroMilanese,
Thank you again for reviewing my draft. Following your feedback, I have rewritten it as a short, neutral stub and limited the content to verifiable facts supported only by published, reliable sources (peer‑reviewed journal articles, a monograph, a handbook chapter from the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, and a Springer monograph that cites my work). I have removed personal letters and other unsuitable material.
I understand that Wikipedia also requires multiple independent, secondary sources that provide significant coverage of a person, beyond their own publications. At this time, I do not have substantial additional secondary coverage about myself.
Could you please let me know whether, in this situation, it would be better not to resubmit this draft again and instead focus my editing on improving existing articles in my areas of expertise (for example, inguinal hernia and abdominal wall surgery)?
Best regards, KovachevL KovachevL (talk) 12:19, 27 June 2026 (UTC)

:Dear KovachevL,
:Thank you for your message.
:After reviewing the draft, I found of that most, if not all, of the sources currently provided appear to be authored by the subject. However, Wikipedia's notability guidelines ↗ require significant coverage ↗ in reliable, independent secondary sources ↗. To establish notability, references should discuss the subject in detail and be written by unaffiliated third parties. Sources created by, about, or closely associated with the subject generally cannot be used to demonstrate notability on their own.
:However, I have noticed that you have resubmitted the draft. I will leave it for the fresh pair of eyes. Regards. Hitro talk ↗ 09:57, 29 June 2026 (UTC)
:Dear HitroMilanese,
:Thanks for the answer. For various reasons, I have not had the opportunity to establish direct contacts and exchange experiences with colleagues from all over the world. I have followed a lot of scientific information, not only in surgery. And due to the size of my country, I have not had the opportunity to gather what is necessary for significant statistical significance of the results. In ResearchGate, I have put things that are interesting, non-standard and have given results in insoluble cases. In the memoir I mentioned, I have given a number of examples, where if each of them I had the opportunity to multiply as statistics, I would now be accepted on Wikipedia without any problems. But in medicine there is a proven truth that two and two do not make four. It struck me that three of the most famous authorities in one of the areas in which I achieved competence: Lloyd Nyhus, Robert Condon and Rene Stoppa are not listed on Wikipedia. But the rules are the rules. I wish you to achieve the goals you have dedicated yourself to. In a progressively unpredictable world.

About Draft:Chintaram
The book appears to satisfy the notability guideline for books, as it has been the subject of at least two non-trivial published works from sources independent of the book itself, namely Dainik Bhaskar and Keertiman News.
I have also removed the Instagram references, even though they were official accounts of government personalities, to avoid any concerns regarding source reliability.
The Dainik Bhaskar article provides substantial coverage of the book, including comments and a review by the former Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh. Although the article is behind a paywall and I was unable to archive it despite several attempts, it remains a reliable source.
The Keertiman News article is also dedicated to the book and provides significant independent coverage rather than a mere passing mention. Therefore, these two independent sources satisfy the book notability guideline. PathakNar (talk) 09:10, 29 June 2026 (UTC)
