Question about Your main user page

Hello Hob Gadling,
at the bottom of the main user page, You have the phrase "Scene from an American university, 2023." and after that a photo-image that clearly comes from the early nazi times. More exactly, it is from severe german nazi harassment and beginning pogroms against Jews. Even more exactly nazi boycott of Jewish businesses ↗, image taken in front of Nathan Israel Department Store ↗. This harassment (and in parts pogrom) was an early precursor action of what later ended in murder of approx. 6 Million Jews and other people of Jewish descent.
There have been evil racist activities in/at US-American universities, increasing in the past few years. But i think this use of the image belittles(de:verharmlost ↗) nazi politics ↗ and the Shoah.
Please do not think i want to offend You. I do _not_ think that You want to have it understood in this way. I talk about possible and tempting(?) misunderstandings.
Yours, --Himbeerbläuling (talk) 12:32, 5 May 2026 (UTC)
:The Shoah could have been prevented if people had taken the earlier harassment seriously and taken steps against it. I am not belittling the Shoah, I am comparing the boycott back then (not the Shoah) with the later boycott. They are the same. One of the boycotts turned into something much, much worse. The other did not. As for now. (Well, about 1000 Jews have been slaughtered by anti-Zionists in Israel in 2023. You know that, right? The event triggered those boycotts in the US. And if the anti-Zionists get what they want... Israel has 8 million Jews, that is more than 6 million. They cannot survive there if Hamas ever rules Palestine "from the river to the sea".)
:You don't like the fact that there is not much difference between boycotts of Jewish stores back then and boycotts of Jewish stores in 2023? That is not my fault. --Hob Gadling (talk) 08:19, 6 May 2026 (UTC)
::Actually, I think all that Himbeerbläuling was saying is that labelling a photo from Nazi Germany as "Scene from an American University, 2023" is highly misleading (and could be seen as propogandist). Even with a clarification, the title is still incorrect. Edwin of Northumbria (talk) 09:27, 14 May 2026 (UTC)
:::Himbeerbläuling clearly explained their problem and what you said is very clearly not it. Only a moron would think that the label is intended to be an accurate description.
:::Please stop bothering me. --Hob Gadling (talk) 18:00, 14 May 2026 (UTC)

Input on RfC about anti-vaccination journalism requested

I noticed you previously contributed to this discussion. Just FYI - an RfC has been opened on whether history of accusations around anti-vaccination reporting should be mentioned in the lead of the biography of Paul Thacker. Input requested.
