Cut-and-paste moves
25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Hi, and thank you for your contributions ↗ to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give :Muslim Television Ahmadiyya International ↗ a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move ↗", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history ↗, which is legally required for attribution ↗. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be ''moved'' to a new title together with their edit history.
In most cases for registered users, once your account is four days old and has ten edits ↗, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab ↗ at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu ↗ for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect ↗ from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves ↗ to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge ↗. Thank you. <!-- Template:uw-c&pmove --> * Pppery * it has begun... 16:50, 21 August 2022 (UTC)
: {{ping|Pppery}} Hi! Apologies for this. I wasn't aware of this. I did previously attempt to move it directly to MTA International ↗ but unfortunately it didn't let me, since it's already a page hence why I did a cut and paste move. What should I do in this case? Thanks. HolyArtThou (talk) 19:22, 8 September 2022 (UTC)

25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Please remember to assume good faith ↗ when dealing with other editors, which you did not do on :Qadiani ↗. Thank you.<!-- Template:uw-agf2 --> <span style="color:#070">Doug Weller</span> talk 17:48, 1 April 2023 (UTC)
:Hi {{ping|Doug Weller}} I'm sorry if my edit came off as aggressive, but the user used Rekhta ↗, which is an Urdu dictionary. The organisations themselves say it so. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CtD37BWUtAs ↗ and tried to claim that it is a Hindi word, when it isn't. They also used the Hindi version of the website as their reference, instead of Urdu, or just the normal English website. Surely that's bias? HolyArtThou (talk) 19:28, 1 April 2023 (UTC)
::No, User:Anupam restored the wording that had been there for some time, with an edit summary that explained why and asked you to, as you did finally, use the talk page. In no way can that be called dishonest. They also have about 54,000 edits more than your 64. This is a content dispute. <span style="color:#070">Doug Weller</span> talk 07:17, 2 April 2023 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for December 21
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Ahmadiyya in the United Kingdom ↗, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Hayes ↗, Gillingham ↗ and Spen Valley ↗<!-- ([//dispenser.info.tm/~dispenser/cgi-bin/dablinks.py/Ahmadiyya_in_the_United_Kingdom check to confirm] | [//dispenser.info.tm/~dispenser/cgi-bin/dab_solver.py/Ahmadiyya_in_the_United_Kingdom?client=notify fix with Dab solver])-->. Such links are usually incorrect ↗, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. <small>(Read the FAQ{{*}} Join us at the DPL WikiProject ↗.)</small>
