LFB Command Units
Hi! I just wanted to say thanks for your edits (1 ↗, 2 ↗, 3 ↗) to Optare Solo ↗ adding more info about the LFB CUs. I know very little about buses (to my shame), and I'm glad someone was able to add details that I didn't think to find out :) Pink Bee (talk) 21:13, 16 April 2026 (UTC)
Megabus Situtation
Hi another user was saying megabus does still exist because of the routes shown on website. But am I correct they don’t. As first of all it doesn’t show on bus times and secondly the routes shown are citylink routes which are never been part of megabus and falcon which is Stagecoach SW. just confining I am correct (I am basing of bustimes.org and evidence as well as general knowledge), thanks! BYD E400EV
Random question here, but:
Just to clarify, is the name of the first generation E400EV "BYD (D8UR) Alexander Dennis Enviro400EV City" or just "BYD Alexander Dennis Enviro400EV"? I'm genuinely confused as bus route articles on Wikipedia (such as London bus routes that are allocated first generation E400EVs) use the latter name but the section of the first generation on the E400EV article uses the former name - I question the inconsistencies. Does WP:COMMONNAME come into play for the latter name on bus route articles? Cheers, ThatTransportEnthusiast (talk) 15:31, 9 May 2026 (UTC)
:I was about to comment on this earlier in the day, but I don't think I had the time as I was on the road home: I've always preferred 'BYD Alexander Dennis Enviro400EV' since ADL and BYD have always kept quiet on exactly what chassis they're using. There's was never anything in the ADL brochures ↗ that stated it was a D8UR, and I'd be led to believe that the BYD chassis elements were added to the existing Enviro400 City chassis in the design process. Same goes for the BYD Alexander Dennis Enviro200EV'. Hullian111 (talk) 15:40, 9 May 2026 (UTC)
::Thanks for clarifying that, but the thing that confuses me is that on the main Alexander Dennis Enviro400EV ↗ article the section for the first generation E400EV has it down as "Enviro400EV City" as it is based off of the Enviro400 City body. Should it contain "City" or not on both this section and London bus route articles?
::Cheers, ThatTransportEnthusiast (talk) 16:12, 9 May 2026 (UTC)
:::That wasn't my call ↗ and I do disagree with that edit, so feel free to go ahead and cut 'City' out of the subheaders if you wish. Hullian111 (talk) 17:08, 9 May 2026 (UTC)
::::Well, if you think that's alright then ok then!
::::Thanks for the clarification, I was just confused in the first place :-)
