The actual rule(s) for English possessive ↗ are more complicated (James's, Jesus') than given in your edit summary, but I did find "Dolores's" in Bertram's ''Lolita - The Story of a Cover Girl: Vladimir Nabokov's Novel in Art and Design'', if not in Lolita ↗ itself.
