Question from Jacob32737 on Poland national football team ↗ (22:15, 28 June 2026)
Is it possible to add a note on the right-hand side during the World Cup and Euro qualifiers indicating when Poland played in the play-offs—specifically in 1958, 2022, and 2026, as well as for Euro 2024? --Jacob32737 (talk) 22:15, 28 June 2026 (UTC)
:Hi there, Jacob32737, and welcome to Wikipedia. Your suggestion on the Polish team seems sensible but I'm pleased to see you mentioned it on the article's talk page where more experienced editors should be able to follow it up. For now, I think you should try to gain more experience in editing, for example by following the links in the welcome message on your talk page. Please let me know if you need further assistance, Happy editing!--Ipigott (talk) 08:53, 29 June 2026 (UTC)
Question from Tomipenri (11:47, 1 July 2026)
:''Note: Tomipenri's mentor Nick Moyes is away.''
Hi, what is best practice when trying to cite an interactive map where the information cited isn't directly available when the user clicks the link; they have to search for a specific entry. Thanks in advance. --Tomipenri (talk) 11:47, 1 July 2026 (UTC)
:Hi there, {{u|Tomipenri}}, and thanks for stepping by. If this is in relation to Lycksjön ↗, there must be several options for maps although I'm not quite sure why you need to cite one. There must be many other ways in which you can expand the article. Happy editing!--Ipigott (talk) 12:13, 1 July 2026 (UTC)
::I was looking for a source for the dimensions I provided, but the Swedish article links to a download link from 2012 that is now only accessible via the Internet Archive, so it feels as if i shouldn't use that link if a more up-to-date map/dataset is available? Tomipenri (talk) 12:16, 1 July 2026 (UTC)
:::Sorry, to be clear here, I got the dimensions from the source! Tomipenri (talk) 12:17, 1 July 2026 (UTC)
::::Then simply cite the source.--Ipigott (talk) 12:21, 1 July 2026 (UTC)
Question from GARY ROBERT CROFT (05:56, 3 July 2026)
Hi, how do i create my profile as an autistic strength athlete. I already list in news articles etc, but i want my name under Gary Croft, not Gary Robert Croft? --GARY ROBERT CROFT (talk) 05:56, 3 July 2026
- Hi there, {{u|GARY ROBERT CROFT}}, and welcome to Wikipedia. It is not a good idea to create an article about yourself but if you are interested in contributing to Wikipedia, you should follow the links to guidance in my welcome message on your talk page. Happy editing!--Ipigott (talk) 08:31, 3 July 2026 (UTC)
:hi, why is it not a good idea please? GARY ROBERT CROFT (talk) 08:40, 3 July 2026 (UTC)
:::{{reply|GARY ROBERT CROFT}} You'll find all the explanations here ↗. I've looked through articles about you such as this ↗ on Grimsby Live but for a biography to be accepted, we really need articles from nationally recognized newspapers and/or specialized journals. If there are any, or if any appear, please let me know. In the meantime, you might like to try your hand at improving other articles about autististic strongmen such as Tom Stoltman ↗. You'll see from :Category:Autistic sportspeople ↗ that many others suffering from autism have made a name for themselves in sports.--Ipigott (talk) 10:04, 3 July 2026 (UTC)
You're invited to the Mentorship noticeboard
Hi, Ipigott. You are cordially invited to the brand new Wikipedia:Mentorship noticeboard ↗. I get the impression sometimes that we mentors are each toiling in our own cubbyhole or hamster wheel, quietly answering mentee questions with little to no interaction with other mentors. I think we have a lot to share and learn from each other, and I know it will make me feel better just having the opportunity to interact with you and other mentors there, and I hope it will for you, too. Look forward to seeing you there! Mathglot (talk) 06:55, 4 July 2026 (UTC)
:Thanks, {{u|Mathglot}}. I've already added an item to the noticeboard in connection with newbies wanting to write articles about themselves.--Ipigott (talk) 08:51, 4 July 2026 (UTC)
:: Excellent; am responding as we speak! Mathglot (talk) 09:15, 4 July 2026 (UTC)
Question from TOAK19054 (05:03, 5 July 2026)
Hi, I just published my first article, which is about the screenwriter Michael Grassi. It is giving me some green highlighted {{cite web}} errors, can you help me fix this? --TOAK19054 (talk) 05:03, 5 July 2026 (UTC)
:Hi there, {{u|TOAK19054}}, and thank you for contributing Michael Grassi ↗. As far as I can see, there are no longer any problems with citation errors. You say Grassi is "Canadian-American". That implies he also has US citizenship but I can see no evidence of this in your sources. It seems to me it would be safer to stick to Canadian or Canadian-born. Please let me know if you run into any other problems. Happy editing!--Ipigott (talk) 08:39, 5 July 2026 (UTC)
Question from TOAK19054 (11:23, 5 July 2026)
Hello, once again. I was wondering, could you instruct me on how I would create a new article in my sandbox without disturbing the creation of my first article? if so, how would I go about doing so? Thanks! --TOAK19054 (talk) 11:23, 5 July 2026 (UTC)
:{{reply|TOAK19054}} You can simple create it in your user space as User:TOAK19054/Name of new draft article.--Ipigott (talk) 12:25, 5 July 2026 (UTC)

If the subject you want to write an article written about them in two other languages (and you do not have the language skills to translate them), what should you do? --TOAK19054 (talk) 01:12, 11 July 2026 (UTC)
