25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Thank you for your contributions ↗ to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from :Tang Da Wu ↗ into :The Artists Village ↗. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing ↗ does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary ↗ at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking ↗ to the copied page, e.g., <code>copied content from <nowiki>page name ↗</nowiki>; see that page's history for attribution</code>. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{tl|copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. Images in 5th Passage ↗

Thanks for the write-up on this art space. It is an interesting read. Regarding the images used in the article, do seek copyright releases from the authors you took from and following the instructions left on images' pages. Otherwise, they will be automatically removed once passed the deadline set:

If they are removed, you can link to the images or the pages you took the images from using the {{tl|External media}} template. – robertsky (talk) 12:08, 14 June 2020 (UTC)

Wikipedia and copyright

30px|link=|alt=Control copyright icon ↗ Hello Islandchime, and welcome to Wikipedia. Your additions to :Draft:Plastique Kinetic Worms ↗ have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain ↗ or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably-free and compatible ↗ copyright license. While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright ↗ and plagiarism ↗ issues.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked ↗ from editing. Replaceable fair use File:Ho Tzu Nyen with still from 2 or 3 Tigers.jpg

32px|left ↗
Thanks for uploading ''':File:Ho Tzu Nyen with still from 2 or 3 Tigers.jpg ↗'''. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use ↗. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion ↗. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have ''no free equivalent''; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

# Go to the file description page ↗ and add the text {{Tlx|Di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}} '''below''' the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <code><your reason></code> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
# On the file discussion page ↗, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license ↗, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on <span class="plainlinks">[{{fullurl:Special:Contributions|target=Islandchime&namespace=6}} this link]</span>. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy ↗. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page ↗. Thank you. <!-- Template:di-replaceable fair use-notice --> Ytoyoda (talk) 13:44, 22 October 2020 (UTC)

Visual art of Singapore

Have you considered putting the article up for WP:GA ↗? 119.192.196.231 ↗ (talk) 04:03, 31 December 2022 (UTC)

:Hello! I've never put an article up for a Good Article Nomination before, so I am a little hesitant just out of inexperience. I think there still might be some things that need overhauling, such as the notes and references section. I'm not sure if the recommended layout for notes and references looks like the image in this section ↗, with separate "notes" that point to a specific page for each reference, and the full book cited in the "references" section. On the current Visual art of Singapore article, there's a long list of references that point to the articles but not necessarily the page number. I'm not sure if that needs to be properly re-formatted and have the specific page cited for each. A little daunting, but if that's needed, I'll have to work through that slowly before I can put up a Good Article Nomination. What do you think? Islandchime (talk) 17:32, 31 December 2022 (UTC)
::I don't see that as a major point of issue that may hinder the article for GA, articles have been passed for much less. Besides, any possible standing issues brought up by the reviewer before an article is eventually promoted are dealt with along the way during the nomination process. In addition, the GA nomination process could take weeks or even months due to the backlog, and with the article already "B-class" quality, I see no reason not to nominate it now. 122.23.248.114 ↗ (talk) 20:13, 7 January 2023 (UTC)
:::Thank you, in that case I'll put in a nomination shortly. Really appreciate the additional info! Islandchime (talk) 19:08, 8 January 2023 (UTC)
