Brief Encounter
IMDB is a site that relies on user generated content for it's existence so is not a reliable source for Wikipedia. You watchng the film is meaningless. The station scenes were shot at Carnforth which was renamed Milford for the shoot. There is no evidence that the Milford referred to was the one in Surrey. If you continue edit warring over this article you coud find yourself banned from editing. Murgatroyd49 (talk) 08:22, 14 March 2026 (UTC)
:@User:Murgatroyd49, ''The Ten Commandments'' were filmed in Hollywood, but it was supposed to take place in Egypt. I did not say that ''Brief Encounter'' was filmed in Milford. I know that much of the movie was filmed in Carnforth. But where it is filmed and where it is supposed to be taking place are different matters. And don't threaten me with banning. You are not the king of Wikipedia.
:I add that IMBD is a worthy website. Entries are screened. Inaccurate IMBD entries are removed or improved. Here is what is written in Wikipedia about IMDB:
"IMDb has been subject to deliberate additions of false information; in 2012 a spokesperson said: "We make it easy for users and professionals to update much of our content, which is why we have an 'edit page'. The data that is submitted goes through a series of consistency checks before it goes live. Given the sheer volume of the information, occasional mistakes are inevitable, and, when reported, they are promptly fixed. We always welcome corrections."
Iss246 (talk) 02:31, 15 March 2026 (UTC)
:: It is still not a reliable source for Wikipedia, see WP:Reliable sources ↗. Also there is no evidence that the "Milford" referred to in the film is the one in Surrey.
:::IMDb is a reliable source. I stopped caring about Surrey after hassling with you. Iss246 (talk) 02:32, 17 March 2026 (UTC)
:::Well, that's a relief then. Murgatroyd49 (talk) 08:36, 17 March 2026 (UTC)
::::@User:Murgatroyd49, not as much as it is relief to me. And you are wrong about IMDb. Iss246 (talk) 13:51, 17 March 2026 (UTC)

30px|alt=Stop icon ↗ '''You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war ↗.''' This means that you are repeatedly reverting content back to how you think it should be, despite knowing that other editors disagree. Once it is known that there is a disagreement, users are expected to collaborate ↗ with others, avoid editing disruptively ↗, and try to reach a consensus ↗ – rather than repeatedly reverting the changes made by other users.
Important points to note:
# {{strong|Edit warring is disruptive behavior ↗ – regardless of how many reverts you have made;}}
# {{strong|Do not engage in edit warring – even if you believe that you are right.}}
You need to discuss the disagreement on the article's talk page ↗ and work towards a revision that represents consensus among everyone involved. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard ↗ or seek dispute resolution ↗ if discussions reach an impasse. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection ↗. {{strong|If you continue to engage in edit warring, you may be blocked ↗ from editing.}} <!-- Template:uw-ew --> ElKevbo (talk) 21:10, 18 June 2026 (UTC)
