Unattributed translations

25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Thank you for your contributions ↗ to Wikipedia. It appears that you translated text from :pt:Confederação dos Cariris ↗ to :Confederation of the Cariris ↗. While you are welcome to translate Wikipedia content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing ↗ '''requires that you provide attribution''' to the contributor(s) of the original article. When translating from a foreign-language Wikipedia article, this is supplied at a minimum in an '''edit summary ↗''' on the page where you add translated content, identifying it as a translation and linking ↗ it to the source page. Sample wording for this is given here ↗. If you forgot, or were not aware of this requirement, attribution '''must be given retroactively ↗''', for example:
:
<nowiki>NOTE: Content in the edit of 01:25, January 25, 2023 was translated from the existing French Wikipedia article at :fr:Exact name of French article ↗; see its history for attribution.</nowiki>

Retroactive attribution may be added using a dummy edit ↗; see Repairing insufficient attribution ↗.
It is good practice, especially if translation is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{tl|translated page}} template on the talk page of the destination article. If you have added translated content previously which was not attributed at the time it was added, you must add attribution retrospectively ↗, even if it was a long time ago. You can read more about author attribution and the reasons for it at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia ↗. Thank you. -- Reconrabbit 01:49, 2 January 2026 (UTC)

Saquinho ↗ moved to draftspace

Thanks for your contributions to Saquinho ↗. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing as a live article at this time because '''the article is sourced to 4 websites which do not mention its name. The landing page should be the specific page which mentions the settlement.'''.
I have converted it to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page ↗.

Sourcing Brazilian settlement articles

Hi Jacinto, I notice you've made a few articles about small Brazilian settlements. In principle, that is great, but the sourcing on the pages hasn't been fantastic. Until now, you have been linking to Brazilian government websites, which, if they give some official status to the settlement, should be enough for notability. Unfortunately, the links are just to generic pages which, presumably, would allow users to search for the name of the settlement in a state database. You need to be sourcing a little more precisely than that. If you could link to the exact data, it would be ideal, but I am aware that might be difficult.

If that is the case, adding a quote which proves the existence of the settlement in the reference, as well as stating the file name where the data exists if there are many files on the target page, would allow easier verification. I can read Portuguese, but finding the information is a daunting task even for me, never mind other English-speaking users. Boynamedsue (talk) 18:05, 22 March 2026 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for June 14

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Sertanejo people ↗, a link pointing to the disambiguation page West Africans ↗ was added. Such links are usually incorrect ↗, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ{{*}} Join us at the DPL WikiProject ↗.)
