Call out banner

To Ms. Coffman,

Several years ago (6) I updated a Wikipedia page for an artist whom i know, not knowing this was a problem. The page was called out with a "banner". At the time i clarified my connection, declared no payment was involved, and attempted to address the issue with various long-time Wiki editors. Nothing has changed in 6 years. The information is factual and public. The subject person has since that time, far exceeded the original awards and recognition, but still has to content with this 'scarlett" letter banner on their page. Do you have any advice on how to rectify this and get this banner finally removed? Uranoz (talk) 21:13, 4 March 2026 (UTC)

May thanks

Thank you for improving article quality in May! - Today: Felicity Lott ↗. If you have little time, just give me a click ;) - If you have more, see her story. If you have more, listen to her singing Friendly Vision ↗. If you have more, listen until she sings the word "peace" (Frieden), floating up high, serenely. -- Gerda Arendt (talk) 13:30, 20 May 2026 (UTC)

Removal of cited information : Panzer Ace

Hello!

I have noticed you removed cited information in the Panzer ace ↗ article, in particular the section about Rudolf Roy.

Your comment: ''undue / dubious as fellgiebel does not include this info''.

Im curious, did you actually remove '''<u>3</u>''' academic sources without reading them?

'''#1.''' Fellgiebel source is for Knight's Cross recipients which is what Rudolf Roy is cited for (confirmation of his achievements).
<br>'''#2.''' From Christer Bergström (cited), considered one of the world's '''foremost experts''' on the Second World War:
- The Ardennes, 1944-1945: Hitler's Winter Offensive.

"Rudolf Roy, who during the fighting in Normandy in the previous summer had knocked out twenty-six Allied tanks in five days (including 13 on 9 August alone)..."

"Rudolf Roy, the '''leading "Panzer ace"''' of the SS-Panzerjäger Abteilung 12 was killed..."
<br>'''#3.'''thumb|upright=0.8|Knight's Cross Citation: Rudolf Roy ↗Számvéber, Norbert (2018), which cites Rudolf Roy's actions in Operation Totalize, gives his Knight's Cross actual citation and his service record <--- Fellgiebel reference is to confirm this source as well which is completely acceptable.
----------------------------
We have 3 academic sources that all confirm Rudolf Roy's actions, he is literally called a panzer ace by leading expert and credited with 36 tank kills which more than confirms his status.

3 sources were removed innapropriately and clearly not read.

Also undue is not an argument the sources specified the information correctly and if here is a clear example of your contradictory comments...

''"The most famous German "panzer ace", Michael Wittmann, is credited by Kurowski as having destroyed 60 tanks and nearly as many anti-tank guns in the course of a few days near Kiev in November 1943. According to historian Steven Zaloga, Wittmann was credited with about 135 tanks destroyed – although 120 of those were made on the Eastern Front from a Tiger tank. After the war, Wittmann gained a cult status among admirers of the Wehrmacht, the Waffen-SS, and tank warfare."''

This is cited correctly and completely fine in the article and yet when we have Rudolf Roy you think this is undue?

''"However, tank aces can also be found having used the ''Jagdpanzer IV ↗'' ("hunting tank"), such as ''SS-Oberscharführer'' (Senior squad leader) Rudolf Roy ↗ from the 12th SS ''Panzerjäger'' Battalion of 12th SS Panzer Division, who was awarded the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross ↗ for battlefield bravery and credited with 36 tank kills.''

Literal quote from his citation (sourced in Számvéber)

<blockquote>Because of his unusually courageous action and the large number of enemy tanks he has knocked out, I recommend Oberscharführer Roy for the award of the Knight’s Cross of the Iron Cross.
For the absent Division Commander
<br>The First General Staff Officer
<br>Hubert Meyer
Sturmbannführer</blockquote>

Recent edit to 35th Infantry Division (Wehrmacht) ↗

On May 5th you added content ↗ to this article, 2 instances of <nowiki>{{sfn|Heer|1995}}</nowiki>. You also added a complete cite book ref for Heer '''but''' the date in the complete citation is 2004 and the date in the Sfn cite is 1995. There are also no page numbers for the 2 refs' statements and they really do need a page number for verification ↗ purposes. Once you correct these issues the article will no longer be in :Category:Harv and Sfn no-target errors ↗. Thanks, Shearonink (talk) 05:43, 6 June 2026 (UTC)
:There are also similar harv/sfn cite issues from your edits to Johann-Georg Richert ↗ (no page numbers for the Heer cites and different publication dates between the Sfn cites and the complete citation) and to Ordnungspolizei ↗ (no page number/numbers for Heer and different dates of 1995 & 2004). - Shearonink (talk) 05:55, 6 June 2026 (UTC)
::Thank you -- it turns out that there were two ''Heer'' sources in the source article, which I missed; should be fixed now. --K.e.coffman (talk) 05:27, 7 June 2026 (UTC)

25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Thank you for your contributions ↗ to Wikipedia. Regarding your recent edits to :Cossack collaboration with Nazi Germany during World War II ↗ when you modified the page, you introduced {{cl|Unknown parameters|unknown parameters}}. Just because you specify {{para|some_param|{{var|some_variable}}}} does not always mean that variable will display. The {{para|some_param}} must be defined in the template. You can look at the documentation for the template you are using but it is also helpful to use the preview ↗ button before you save your edit; this helps you find any errors you have made and ensure that the values you have added are displaying correctly. Below the edit box is a '''Show preview''' button. Pressing this will show you what the page will look like without actually saving it. It is strongly recommended that you use this before saving. Note I have likely fixed the error by now so check the history ↗ of the page to see how it was fixed. If you have any questions, contact the help desk ↗ for assistance.
