Disambiguation link notification for April 20
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Social Democratic Party of Germany ↗, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page FDP ↗<!-- ([//dispenser.info.tm/~dispenser/cgi-bin/dablinks.py/Social_Democratic_Party_of_Germany check to confirm] | [//dispenser.info.tm/~dispenser/cgi-bin/dab_solver.py/Social_Democratic_Party_of_Germany?client=notify fix with Dab solver])-->. Such links are usually incorrect ↗, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. <small>(Read the FAQ{{*}} Join us at the DPL WikiProject ↗.)</small>

Compiled results
Hello. Thanks for your work on election results. Can I suggest that when you are compiling the results like you appear to have done for Wales and Samoa, you post the tables you've used to calculate it on the article's talk page for others to check how you got the totals? I've seen a few editors compiling the results make errors and it's much easier to this to hand to double check rather than repeating the full calculation yourself. See e.g. Talk:2021 Caymanian general election ↗ or Talk:2021_Ugandan_general_election#Vote_totalling ↗ where I've done similar. Cheers, <span style="color: orange;">Number</span> <span style="color: green;">5</span><span style="color: blue;">7</span> ↗ 11:30, 12 May 2021 (UTC)
:No worries, that can be done. Although, I'll probably just post the links to the tables I've compiled in Google spreadsheet instead since that's where most of my work is being done. Thanks for the advice Kirill.alx (talk) 11:44, 12 May 2021 (UTC)
Scottish Parliament Election Map
Hey there. I'm wondering why you removed my Scottish Parliament Election Map ↗ from the 2021 Scottish Parliament election ↗ article. (I'm pretty sure it was you, though I may be wrong). Thanks. Ayvind-Bjarnason (talk) 16:24, 14 May 2021 (UTC)
:{{ping|Ayvind-Bjarnason}} Hello there. Unfortunately, that wasn't me; the part that I only edited on the 2021 Scottish election was the overall results for all the parties. I'm sure it was somebody else. You can double-check the revision history again just to make sure. If it was me, just let me know once again. Best of luck! Kirill.alx (talk) 17:22, 14 May 2021 (UTC)
::The revision history ↗ said you did; it must have been a mistake, so not to worry. I can easily just put it back, I just wanted to make sure that no-one took it away for a reason. Thanks for the response, and have a wonderful day! Ayvind-Bjarnason (talk) 17:57, 14 May 2021 (UTC)
:::Oh my apologies! Yeah, I didn't mean to remove that. I was cleaning up the table and must have had inadvertently remove it along the process. That was my bad. You can put it back as you wish, thank you for letting me know! :) Kirill.alx (talk) 18:09, 14 May 2021 (UTC)
Replacing templates
Hello – good work on the Belgian election articles. Just to say when you remove the templates from the election articles, it's probably a good idea to remove them from elsewhere (so they can be deleted). This can be done by putting onlyinclude tags around the table (like this ↗) and then replace the template on other articles using this code ↗, where the second part is the section the results table is in. Cheers, <span style="color: orange;">Number</span> <span style="color: green;">5</span><span style="color: blue;">7</span> ↗ 17:06, 29 May 2021 (UTC)
:{{ping|Number 57}} Got it but how do I find out which pages are using the templates? Is there a way to do that or does that do the trick essentially? Kirill.alx (talk) 17:10, 29 May 2021 (UTC)
::Go to the template and click on the 'What links here' link on the left-hand sidebar. Some of the links will be from other templates, but others will be uses of the template. <span style="color: orange;">Number</span> <span style="color: green;">5</span><span style="color: blue;">7</span> ↗ 17:12, 29 May 2021 (UTC)
:::Thanks! Appreciate your help and guidance as always :)) Kirill.alx (talk) 17:14, 29 May 2021 (UTC)

Infobox upgrade
Hello. Just to let you know, {{tl|Infobox legislative election}} has been upgraded to pick up party colours from party names. So if you link a name in the party field (like <code><nowiki>|party1=Labour Party ↗</nowiki></code>), it will pick up the meta colour template. This means you don't need to manually set the colour or create shortname templates to get it to work. Gavin Glover
Hello Kirill.alx,
Do you know if Attorney-General Gavin Glover is an ex officio MP? Also just wanted to thank you for helping bring Mauritian election and political articles to life.
Best regards, '''<span style="color:#072357;">N Panama</span>''' '''<span style="color:#DA121A;">84534</span>''' 🏝️🥥 22:30, 5 April 2026 (UTC)
:Hello N Panama,
:That one is a little tricky to answer. Under the constitution, it provides for the establishment of the office of the Attorney-General. However, the Attorney-General may be appointed from among the members of the Assembly or may also come from outside the Assembly (i.e. not an MP). There was a clarity in 2008 when the question of the constitutionality of having several Deputy Prime Ministers arose, the Supreme Court also provided an answer that the Attorney-General appointed from the outside cannot be a minister (traditionally holding the office of Minister of Justice). Link to an article about the SC judgement (https://lexpress.mu/s/article/bp-247-312)
:The Attorney-General continues to have the right to speak and seat in the National Assembly, allowing the holder to introduce legislation according to 69(4) of the constitution. However, the Attorney-General does not seem to have the right to vote, which was made evident to me when a constitutional amendment was voted upon last year and each member had to vote individually and the Attorney-General was skipped (most votes in the National Assembly are done by voice vote). 69(4) states that:
:'' Where the person holding the office of Attorney-General is not a member of the Assembly, he shall be entitled to take part in the proceedings of the Assembly, and this Constitution and any other law shall apply to him as if he were a member of the Assembly: Provided that he shall not be entitled to vote in the Assembly.''
:It would probably be sufficient enough to gather that the AG is probably an ''ex officio'' MP since he can attend, seat, speak and introduce legislation in the Assembly, but does not have the right to vote. The Assembly lists Glover anyway under its database as a member of the Assembly too.
:Relevant sections in the constitution for the AG:
:* 59(2)
:* 59(3)
:* 60(3)
:* 69
:And you're welcome :)) also wanted to thank you again as well for everything! It's very much appreciated :)) I'll resume editing in the coming days since a lot of major political movement has happened in the last month or so
:Cheers! Kirill.alx (talk) 01:52, 6 April 2026 (UTC)
::Wonderful, thanks for clarifying. I suppose Glover is an unelected version of the non-voting delegates in the U.S. House of Representatives. Thanks again, and I look forward to further collaborations.
::Cheers, '''<span style="color:#072357;">N Panama</span>''' '''<span style="color:#DA121A;">84534</span>''' 🏝️🥥 04:19, 6 April 2026 (UTC)
:::Sorry to butt in but I noticed your discussion
:::Gavin Glover was not one of the FPTP MPs elected or one of the Best Losers
:::https://electoral.govmu.org/oec/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/Elected-Candidates.pdf
:::So that leaves little doubt on his unelected status
:::Rama Valayden was a candidate in 2005, lost and was ineligible for a best loser seat
:::He became Attorney-General Varoon2542 (talk) 13:29, 5 May 2026 (UTC)
::::Hello Varoon,
::::Yes, that's quite evident. There's no doubt about Glover's status as an ''elected'' or a ''candidate'' for MP in any election, which he is neither of those. But what we are discussing here was his ''status'' is as Attorney-General in the National Assembly; the privileges of the said office.
::::Valayden was, on the other hand, a candidate for GE 2005 but lost and was neither elected nor chosen as Best Loser. But, he was appointed as Attorney-General in the aftermath of the elections regardless.
::::So both Valayden and Glover have the same status and situation right now (being appointed outside from the Assembly as AG), but the difference is that Valayden was a candidate for the election and a politician whilst Glover never ran and is a lawyer mainly.
::::Cheers, Kirill.alx (talk) 13:38, 5 May 2026 (UTC)
:::::Hello,
:::::The real question being
:::::If an elected MP or Best Loser is the new Attorney General, does he or she have voting rights ?
:::::The constitution says yes so picking an unelected Attorney General is less recommended if the parliamentary majority is precarious
:::::As you seem quite interested by the subject, you might like to read what Rama Sithanen had to say on the proposed electoral reform
:::::https://lexpress.mu/s/rama-sithanen-warns-against-unfair-electoral-reform-557523
:::::I myself wrote to the PMOs office and electoral commission to submit my ideas before the deadline but I'm sure, they are not going to be considered
:::::Cheers ! Varoon2542 (talk) 13:54, 5 May 2026 (UTC)
