Run Like Hell vocals
Hello there. Concerning the revert of the Run Like Hell vocals, I was a bit confused by your explanation.
First, the article does list Gilmour's vocals, as follows:
- David Gilmour ↗ – guitars, bass guitar, backwards cymbals, vocals (chorus)
As for the chorus vocals referred to here, it is the part where Gilmour sings (harmonizing with himself as he often did) 'Run! Run! Run! Run!' with a descending melody eight times, and then repeats it with a single note eight more times. After the first chorus, Waters takes over the verses, starting with the line 'You better make your face up in your favorite disguise.' After Gilmour sings the second chorus, then Waters takes over again, starting with the line 'You better run all day and run all night.'
Here is what it looks like written down:
Run Like Hell Lyrics - The Wall - Pink Floyd (neptunepinkfloyd.co.uk)
And here's what it sounds like: Gilmour comes in at 0.55 and sings for about 15 seconds, then after the second verse and another instrumental section, he comes back in at 2.01 and sings the same part again.
Pink Floyd - Run Like Hell (With Lyrics) (youtube.com)
At any rate, in my experience, Pink Floyd references generally list this as a song in which the two men trade lead vocals, as they did for a number of songs on The Wall. I'll have to check this when I get home tonight, but in the meantime, it seems clear that Gilmour is the lead vocalist for approximately 30 seconds of the song, and should be listed as such, regardless of what we consider the chorus to be. Mabewa (talk) 02:17, 6 July 2024 (UTC)
:First of all, my apologies; I was reading the prose sections of the Run Like Hell article (in particular the line 'Waters provides the vocals (except for Gilmour's multitracked harmonies singing "Run, run, run, run,").'), and didn't think to check the personnel section to make sure it didn't say something different. Calling Gilmour's part on the song a lead vocal is reaching; he just sings a rhythmic accompaniment, pushed behind Waters' part in the mix. Bits like that are commonly referred to as backing vocals. We don't, for example, list "Santa Baby ↗" as a duet, even though the male vocal in that song is both more elaborate and more prominent than Gilmour's part in "Run Like Hell". SNK characters
After the big new rules in regards to notability I basically had to remake Ryo Sakazaki ↗ and Yuri Sakazaki ↗ in order to find proper sources for their reception section. Feel free to revise them. I also had Kyo Kusanagi ↗ copyedited since not only I had to revise the reception but also expand his creation thanks to a book that explores the making of the Orochi arc of KOF. I really had no idea what images to use since there are two rejected sketches of Kyo including Syo and a biker Kyo in the book. As a result, I tried using free images but only used the original Orochi outfit for the infobox and the NESTS arc clothing as an example of a common redesign. It sure is impossible adding nonfree image of every outfit he has used. I did something similar to Ryo since his Mr. Karate II outfit had a lot of commentary by artist Hiroaki who was responsible for that. Same with Iori. I couldn't find creation info about his XII and XIII outfit so I used his Orochi arc for the infobox and then Miss X.Tintor2 (talk) 23:54, 17 November 2024 (UTC)

Seinfeld: The Caddy / Sue Ellen Mischke
Hello Martin,
I noticed you reverted an edit I made a while ago in The Caddy (Seinfeld) ↗.
You say ↗ "Being mentioned in the production section does not mean it is relevant to the plot."
I wonder if this is a misunderstanding. The "flashback scene" I described ''is'' part of the plot; it shows Elaine's memories to the viewer.
In retrospect, my comment "Add flashback scene with Tom Cosley who was mentioned in section Production without context." is not ideal. However, it does not necessarily make the content wrong because the meaning of the phrase "friend-turned-nemesis" in the previous sentence is explained to this episode's viewers, but not to the wiki article's readers.
Another approach could be to extend the Sue Ellen Mischke ↗ section in the list of Seinfeld characters and explain there why she is Elaine's nemesis. My feeling is that it should be explained somewhere.
What do you think? Jay-Jay (talk) 10:35, 1 December 2024 (UTC)
:Wow, what a coincidence. I just read a Seinfeld fan fiction for the first time about five minutes ago.
:Sorry that I misunderstood your comment in the edit summary; your explanation makes it much clearer to me. I assure you, though, I didn't revert just because of the edit summary. I don't think "friend-turned-nemesis" needs to be explained. People know what a friend turning into a nemesis means, and the specific reason why Sue Ellen became Elaine's nemesis isn't relevant to the plot. They could have replaced the Tom Cosley scene with Sue Ellen telling a teacher that Elaine was cheating on a test, or Sue Ellen spreading gossip about Elaine, without changing anything else about the episode.
:Explaining the Elaine/Sue Ellen rivalry in the list of Seinfeld characters sounds fine to me. I don't think it's necessary, but I certainly don't see any harm. Martin IIIa (talk) 16:09, 1 December 2024 (UTC)
::Thanks for your reply. I am fine with omitting the flashback from the plot.
::Re-reading the article I feel that something is missing, though. The first sentence in the Production section reads: "The character Tom Cosley […]". Without that explanation it is now (again) hard for the reader to find out who Tom Cosley is supposed to be because he is not mentioned anywhere else.
::To avoid too much discussion about this detail I am just pointing this out and let you decide if this needs rework. Jay-Jay (talk) 07:51, 2 December 2024 (UTC)
:::I usually write production sections under the assumption that readers have either seen the work or read the article's plot summary, but Tom Cosley is a minor enough character that people who have seen the episode might not remember the name (in fact, not so long ago an editor removed the bit about Tom Cosley saying there is no such character in the episode), and he's not mentioned in the plot summary so... Yeah, you make a good point. I went ahead and added clarification on who Cosley is to that sentence. Please tweak it if you notice any problems. Martin IIIa (talk) 03:17, 4 December 2024 (UTC)

Help with AVP for the Jaguar
Hello there! I hope you're doing well. Sorry for bothering you right now in case you're busy but i'm doing a second rewrite for AVP on the Atari Jaguar. I was wondering if you could lend me a hand regarding the reception section of the article. I'll leave you a link to my personal draft: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:KGRAMR/JaguarAVP#Reception
Since you handle the reception section better than i could, it would be great to have your help. I'll also credit you too, since i also intend to take the article of Jaguar AVP into GA status. I'll handle pretty much the rest of the reception section afterwards but the main section (the contemporary reviews) is the one that might cause issues with the GA review.
Anyways, happy weekend! Roberth Martinez (talk) 02:49, 8 March 2026 (UTC)
:I'm afraid I don't have much experience working with drafts; are you asking me to edit the draft without referring to the mainspace article? Martin IIIa (talk) 04:54, 8 March 2026 (UTC)
:{{re|Martin IIIa}}Yeah, just the main reception section of the draft. I'll handle pretty much the rest afterwards. But if you can't then that's OK. Roberth Martinez (talk) 10:58, 8 March 2026 (UTC)
::Okay. I think I'll have some time to start on it tomorrow. Martin IIIa (talk) 01:35, 9 March 2026 (UTC)
::{{ping|Martin IIIa}}Hello there! Just wanted to drop by and say that ping me to let me know once you're done with the main reception section of the AVP draft, so i can do the rest of the aritcle. It's looking pretty darn well i must say :) Roberth Martinez (talk) 22:44, 10 March 2026 (UTC)
:::@KGRAMR Thanks! Sorry I haven't communicated the past couple days; I was too busy to spend much time on Wikipedia. With the addition I made just now I think I'm done with the main reception section. Martin IIIa (talk) 01:59, 13 March 2026 (UTC)
:::{{re|Martin IIIa}}You did a fantastic job! I'll do some very minor adjustments to it once i'm done with the retrospective coverage section. Roberth Martinez (talk) 02:10, 13 March 2026 (UTC)
