Hello! Looking ahead to next year, what is your opinion of using simple cites in the deaths list? Also, should we start the year with deaths separate from the main article to prevent it from becoming too large? Lastly, I think a listing of the Supreme Court set up much like the governors and lieutenant governors is important and informative, but it would be something new, as it currently doesn't exist and it's not in previous years. I'd like to achieve a consensus on these items. Looking forward to your input. Thanks! PhillyHarold (talk) 15:57, 7 September 2021 (UTC)

Previewing edits
Hi. Thanks for contributing a cited award to this article ↗. I see from its recent edit history that you had some trouble making chances to the table, which can happen to anyone. Tables can be tricky to manage with all the formatting. You can preview your edits to check whether they're correct before publishing them, that way you don't have to make multiple edits changing and reverting the same thing. The "Show preview" button is right next to the "Publish changes" button, as shown here: H:PREVIEW ↗. Lapadite (talk) 23:33, 27 January 2024 (UTC)

Hello
What's the point in having duplicate images in the article? I see no point in it, in very limited circumstances do you have repeated images if their are, already pre-existing pictures which fit the bill. CtasACT (talk) 03:46, 27 February 2024 (UTC)
Why did you revert all of my edits in 1987 deaths???
All of my edits were valid. Leave them alone. Braintic (talk) 01:42, 3 March 2024 (UTC)
:They were not valid and we don't include the cause of death on those articles! Matt Campbell (talk) 02:14, 3 March 2024 (UTC)
::How about looking at the description at the top of the page:
::* Name, age, country of citizenship at birth, subsequent country of citizenship (if applicable), reason for notability, '''CAUSE OF DEATH''' (if known), and reference. You don't get to make up your own rules. I am formatting these pages in preparation for incorporating them into the 1990+ set. You are a vandal and will be reported.
::Braintic (talk) 02:18, 3 March 2024 (UTC)
:::I didn't see that part, but removing the date of birth wasn't really necessary. Matt Campbell (talk) 02:23, 3 March 2024 (UTC)
::::If you did not see it, on what did you base that comment? Did you just invent it, and who is "we"?
::::As I said, I am converting these to the format of post 1989 pages for incorporation into the main list. Those pages show '''AGES''', not death dates. I am not just removing death dates, '''I AM ADDING AGES AT DEATH'''.
::::Leave these alone. Silence will not be sufficient. Reply to say you understand if you don't wish to be reported. Braintic (talk) 02:28, 3 March 2024 (UTC)
:::::I understand! Matt Campbell (talk) 02:31, 3 March 2024 (UTC)
::::::It would be a lot less work for you to revert your reversions and re-add your new people than it would be for me to fix the whole page. Braintic (talk) 02:37, 3 March 2024 (UTC)
Do you accept article requests?

25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Hello. Thank you for your contributions ↗ to Wikipedia ↗. I noticed that your recent edit to :97th Academy Awards ↗ did not have an edit summary ↗. You can use the edit summary field to explain your reasoning for an edit, or to provide a description of what the edit changes. Summaries save time for other editors and reduce the chances that your edit will be misunderstood. For some edits, an adequate summary may be quite brief ↗.
The edit summary field looks like this:
{{Edit summary field/OOUI}}
'''Please provide an edit summary for every edit you make.''' With a Wikipedia account ↗, you can give yourself a reminder by setting {{myprefs|3|check={{int:tog-forceeditsummary}}}}, and then click the "{{int:saveprefs}}" button.

25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Hello. I have noticed that you {{usertalk other|Campbell|PATH}} often ↗|often}} edit without using an edit summary ↗. Please do your best to '''always fill in the summary field'''. This helps your fellow editors use their time more productively, rather than spending it unnecessarily scrutinizing and verifying your work. Even a short summary is better than no summary, and summaries are particularly important for large, complex, or potentially controversial edits. To help yourself remember, you may wish to check the "prompt me when entering a blank edit summary" box in your preferences ↗. Thanks! <!-- Template:Uw-editsummary2 --> –DMartin ↗ 18:53, 25 July 2025 (UTC)
