Clark Baldwin ↗ moved to draftspace



This needs to be rewritten in an encyclopedic tone and notability needs to be established with WP:RS ↗. Not local stories and theories. It also needs to abide by WP:BLP ↗ and as he has not been convicted it also borders on a BLP violation. Attempting to "connect" the dots is WP:SYNTH ↗ unless reliable sources are ''also'' stating this. More importantly, using Wikipedia's voice to insinuate someone is a "murderer" or serial killer when there is no conviction is definitely a WP:BLPVIO ↗. At least give me a spit out of the article so I could take the extra 5 minutes to cite sources about this "potential" (100% convicted) murderer. Or better yet, you can even cite sources yourself. I spent the last hour working on this page and I find it incredibly ridiculous that I was given 60 seconds to cite a source. If I don't receive a spit out, then I'm either:A) Not gonna waste more time on it. B) Produce a page with a fraction of the effort.

::::Yes, I made a mistake. When I created Clark Baldwin's page 4 years ago, I was convinced the reason it was deleted was because Clark Baldwin was never convicted of his crimes. I did not know that claiming somebody committed a crime (that they were in-fact convicted of) without me doing my own research to prove it in the split seconds I needed it, was against some well-established rules. I only stopped editing to upload a photograph of Dylan Redwine and then I was gonna continue editing (which includes adding citations).

::::I would assume Wikipedia is not so negligent as to permanently delete drafts without addressing the issues to the creator first, so please , I would be very appreciative if Murder of Dylan Redwine ↗ could be reinstated as a draft page. I'm not super duper familiar with Wikipedia, but I am aware "drafts" are a thing and that would be much more in-line with Wikipedia's rules. Also, while they don't have the same requirements as mainspace pages, drafts still have criteria regarding potentially libelous claims. :::Somewhat. I was trying to illustrate that recent security incidents involving Trump seem to bring sympathy to his cause. I think that's somewhat important to the article. But my primary goal of the edit was to repurpose the mention of the Florida incident ↗ so that there is a valid reason to include it. It just looks weird being mentioned in the top when the only reason it even got significant media coverage compared to the Las Vegas incident ↗ was due to the timing of when it occurred. There have been numerous attempts on Trump's life, some that aren't even listed. I don't see why the Florida incident ever got the high-profile label it did besides for being only 2 months after a much more serious attempt.
:::But I agree that I probably should have reflected upon the content of the article before I decided to cram unsourced information into the lead. I accept blame for that mistake. Christianity and homosexuality



Hey, I'm the one who added the recent images to the article Christianity and homosexuality ↗... the former one was about an LGBT Christianity sign, so I thought it would be more neutral to have both sides' views on this (I was still having reservations and wasn't sure if they should have been kept however, and I was thinking that these would need more work). Sorry if it made it seem bad or "anti-Christian", I assure you, that wasn't my intention. Can I ask what lead images you think would be better? I'd be happy to work on that with you.

:I apologize if you think I was making any specific allegations towards any one-person, or even you specifically. I didn't take any offense to the images. And to clarify, I didn't honestly think the images were "anti-Christian", I was mostly alluding to the first line which wasn't really focused on homosexuality specifically (such as taking note of Christianity's gray stance on slavery ↗ for most of its history). My actual reason for removing the images, and you are welcome to share a different view point, is because they don't seem to showcase the article's content. The article is not conservative Christians ↗ against secular ↗ progressives ↗. The sign for example didn't seem to be aimed at literal "Christian fascists ↗", but seemed to be throwing around a mean buzzard to attack the majority Christian politicians who were against gay marriage at that time. Now I am glad you understand that an image probably should go on there, but I don't think those two images work very well. The article seems mostly be about Christian views on homosexuality. To me, finding an image probably isn't going to be that easy because Christianity and homosexuality are both ancient, with Christianity originating in the first century and homosexuality being around since the earliest humans. Thus contemporary protests in the United States ↗ regarding gay marriage might not be a good fit, especially when gay marriage wasn't recognized by a single country in the world until 2001.
:So my recommendation would be anything that conveys an idea an inner-faith debate regarding homosexuality. Maybe something like an LGBT flag with a crucifix on it? Or a crucifix next to an LGBT flag? After all, much of the page's content is about the history of Christian beliefs regarding homosexuality, not warring factions of homosexuals and conservative Christians. That's what those two images looked like to me.
:Now I thank you for bringing this matter to my attention. If there's any ideas you may have, especially if they draw heavily on what I already suggested, I would just suggest being bold ↗. It's not exactly up to me to decide what does and doesn't go in the article. I just don't think contemporary protests regarding gay marriage are a good fit. :::I think the right image (pro-gay) has a better belonging on the Wikipedia page for Gay marriage in the United States ↗ or a similar page that has something to do with gay marriage in the US. Admittedly, I don't edit a lot in LGBT-related pages (not my area of interest) so it's not really something I care super much about. The left image (anti-gay) could maybe find a home somewhere in the article where relevant, as long as it pertains to contemporary history.
