25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Hello, I'm Sumanuil. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions ↗&#32;to :Jewish Bolshevism ↗ have been undone because they did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Teahouse ↗ or the Help desk ↗. Thanks.<!-- Template:uw-vandalism1 --> &nbsp;<span style="color:Purple">'''''Sumanuil'''''</span><span style="color:Purple">'''. :I made that edit in the belief that the current wording introduced by Chas. Caltrop (since blocked) in edit 897342147 ↗ compromised the neutrality and encyclopaedic tone of the article despite claiming to improve the “thematic and narrative cohesion”. The use of “catchword” instead of “canard” was attested in the previous revisions and I believe is more appropriate and no less a “correct term”, in consideration of the fact that “canard” carries a strong connotation of purposeful deceit according to several standard dictionary definitions (Cambridge, Wiktionary etc.) and therefore, without any source demonstrating that the proponents of this conspiracy theory did not themselves believe it to be true and only propagated it with the intent to deceive, its use cannot be supported. I removed the “falsely” since, in combination with the repeated uses of “canard”, it moves the tone towards an unnecessarily aggressive insistence on the falsity of this subject. The “In reality” is unencyclopaedic and unnecessary. Overall I believe my edit was an improvement in tone and style and did not warrant a reversion. Mr Minderbinder (talk) 10:44, 13 May 2026 (UTC)

:Removing "falsely" just makes people think you believe it's true.&nbsp;<span style="color:Purple">'''''Sumanuil'''''</span><span style="color:Purple">'''. '''</span><span style="color:Purple">(talk to me)</span> ↗ 18:52, 13 May 2026 (UTC)

::What I believe does not have any relevance to the merits of the edit and it is unreasonable that you should draw that conclusion when I have not made any positive assertion or addition in its favour. I have made similar edits of this nature across a variety of topics: 1220874752 ↗, 1246617013 ↗, 1257048168 ↗, 1283391012 ↗.

::It is only necessary to state what those various terms mean. Unless you have any other objection, I should think my edit will be restored. Mr Minderbinder (talk) 21:47, 13 May 2026 (UTC)

:Said sockpuppet didn't introduce the "false" part, they just changed "false assertion" to "falsely asserting".&nbsp;<span style="color:Purple">'''''Sumanuil'''''</span><span style="color:Purple">'''. '''</span><span style="color:Purple">(talk to me)</span> ↗ 05:33, 14 May 2026 (UTC)

::The sockpuppet editor added it the year prior in edit 845560808 ↗. Mr Minderbinder (talk) 06:10, 14 May 2026 (UTC)
