Moses Fowler House
@MrLinkinPark333 I'm writing to you because I notice that you made some helpful edits on the Wikipedia page about the Moses Fowler House back in 2021. Here is the page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moses_Fowler_House
My wife and I just bought this home in January 2026 and moved in, with our 7 kids. Dave Bangert, a local journalist, wrote an article about the fact that our family moved into the home earlier this year: https://www.basedinlafayette.com/p/meet-the-family-moving-into-the-fowler (This is perhaps notable because nobody lived in this home since 1941.)
I recognize that I should not be making edits on the Wikipedia page because I live in the home. Any edits that I would make could be considered self-promotion. On the other hand, Dave Bangert's article from this year is not (yet) cited on the Wikipedia page. Mr. Bangert's article has some insightful news about the home and its history. I am biased (of course), so I wanted to get feedback and suggestions from independent editors, who will also have more experience than me. I also do not want to make edits myself, because of the potential for bias.
I saw that you and I both have "333" in our usernames on Wikipedia. It was such a nice coincidence that I decided to reach out and ask if you had advice. Thanks for considering! All suggestions and advice are welcome!
P.S. I tried to find a few websites that would be considered authoritative and free of bias. I found these as a starting point:
from the Indiana Landmarks:
https://www.indianalandmarks.org/2017/06/staying-true-form-lafayette-fowler-house/
from the National Park Service; includes a pdf to download the nomination for the home to be included on the National Register:
https://npgallery.nps.gov/AssetDetail/976730b8-d93a-43ed-9d95-3e9f00d5f843
from the Library of Congress:
https://www.loc.gov/pictures/resource/highsm.40711/
There are probably numerous other articles to cite, but I just wanted to mention a few of them.
Best wishes and thanks for any advice that you have! MDW333 (talk) 01:50, 7 July 2026 (UTC)
