Question from Ishmmx (16:17, 4 April 2026)
Hi,
I’m interested in History, Politics and Government (as I had mentioned in my topics of interest) and an amateur reader of it. Could you suggest ways I could contribute to these topics in Wikipedia, other than the suggested edits? So that not only can I provide knowledge at decent quality, but also improve my understanding of it i.e., rubrics which would define an expert editor in this topics
Thank you for your cooperation --Ishmmx (talk) 16:17, 4 April 2026 (UTC)
:Hi @Ishmmx and welcome to wikipedia! I would suggest joining the various related wikiprojects, for example Wikipedia:WikiProject History ↗ because meeting other editors interested in the same things might be helpful. I wanted to help imtpove the coverage generally of women on wikipedia and I found Wikipedia:WikiProject Women in Red ↗ really supportive. Cheers, Mujinga (talk) 21:01, 4 April 2026 (UTC)

Question from Alex Ryon14 (06:01, 8 April 2026)
Hi! When I tried to edit Wikipedia article for the first time because for a spelling error I noticed the strange way it was in the editing screen like it reminded me of code. Can you give the basics on how to understand the console and how to edit? --Alex Ryon14 (talk) 06:01, 8 April 2026 (UTC)
:Hi @Alex Ryon14 and welcome to wikipedia - I'll put some helpful links on your talkpage at User talk:Alex Ryon14. Question from Giorgiachristiansen (19:11, 10 April 2026)
Hello!
Thank you so much for your help. I want to add a few photos to the article about the Churchill club that I am actively editing, but I am not sure how to attach one without claiming it as mine. Let me know if this is something that you can help me with! --Giorgiachristiansen (talk) 19:11, 10 April 2026 (UTC)
:Hi @Giorgiachristiansen that's an interesting article! To add images to a wikipedia article, you need to know the copyright status and thus whether it can be uploaded or not. The process to follow is outlined at https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:UploadWizard . It's a bit confusing, but photos are uploaded to wikicommons and then linked from there. Happy editing! Question from Griffinbunny (13:55, 14 April 2026)
Hello & greetings! I’m trying to connect with an experienced editor willing to help shepherd a draft article through the AfC process.
The article is about a Czech-American punk rock band formed in Prague in 1992. The draft was submitted two weeks ago and declined on notability grounds, but the sourcing is genuinely strong — the band received coverage in major Czech national newspapers (Lidové Noviny, Blesk, Český Deník), cover stories and features in Czech music magazines Bang! and Rock & Pop, as well as coverage outside the ČR: Badische Zeitung, NME (a 1994 piece covering Joe Strummer joining the band onstage at a benefit concert), and MTV.
The core challenge is that most of these sources are pre-internet print publications with no online presence. The sources are all cited in the draft & I have access to scans of every clipping but it seems like the initial reviewer did not examine the sources at all.
I hope to find an experienced editor — such as yourself! — who would be willing to take a look at the draft and advise, or potentially help with resubmission. Thoughts?
Here's the draft:

Question from SpaceCatus (14:49, 14 April 2026)
Hey, I've been trying to add some links to an article, but every time I go to publish it, I get an error saying, that the server hasn't responded in time. I've tried it multiple times over the course of a couple days, but it's always the same result, or the lack of one. I can however edit my user page, it seems. Do you know if that's something on my side, or the server's? Am I missing something and I still have to do some stuff, before I'm allowed to make edits? Or do I have to ask someone else about that and if so, do you know who might be able to help me? I do use a firefox based web browser, if that's of any significance. --SpaceCatus (talk) 14:49, 14 April 2026 (UTC)

Question from Gnome 2403 (22:13, 23 April 2026)
Hello! As part of the suggested Copyedits I have been given, MANY of these contain warnings and links at the top of the page about subjective tone and Puffery. So far I've been reading through these articles and have identified sentences I strongly feel aren't properly subjective. Do you have any advise for ways to go about rewriting things like this, while ensuring content is unchanged? --Gnome 2403 (talk) 22:13, 23 April 2026 (UTC)
:Hi @Gnome 2403 you have hit upon a great wikipedia editorial issue there! First off, you can always move on to another article if you aren't sure. Secondly, we want wikipedia articles without subjective tone, so if you can rephrase in a more neutral fashion then that is welcome. Thirdly though, for more than superficial edits it is prob best to return to the source citation to see you are not misrepresenting it and can summarise it better. Happy editing! Question from SCARCHDGASSC (13:04, 3 May 2026)
Hi Mujinga. I am a retired professional archaeologist and college professor who for several years about 15 or so years ago had my students write and post articles about archaeological sites, projects, and archaeologists, and then had the best ones post their articles on Wikipedia, subject to obtaining the permission of any living people they were writing about. I have contributed funds to Wikipedia from time to time as well, since I think it is a valuable source of information, and far more accurate than AI generated results. I have thought to continue to edit and add articles in my retirement, if that is acceptable. --SCARCHDGASSC (talk) 13:04, 3 May 2026 (UTC)
:@SCARCHDGASSC welcome to wikipedia. that sounds brilliant you are considering bringing your expertise to editing wikipedia! that would be welcome, as long as you fit to the requirements for all volunteers of supplying citations for information you add. feel free to ask more questions, in the meantime I'll put a few helpful links at your talkpage, User talk:SCARCHDGASSC Mujinga (talk) 19:28, 5 May 2026 (UTC)

Question from KittenCoder (16:06, 7 May 2026)
How often do you find fixes for copyedits? I seem to have to read entire articles slowly looking at each word and character to find anything. --KittenCoder (talk) 16:06, 7 May 2026 (UTC)
:Hi @KittenCoder sorry for the delay in answering, you can always ask questions at the Wikipedia:Teahouse ↗ for a speedier response. I see from your profile you are a programmer so you might find yourself more comfortable browsing at for example Wikipedia:Village pump (technical) ↗ than looking for copy edits. I work irl as a copy editor so that's my bread and butter! It would be rare for me to read a page without finding something needing fixed, but that's just because it's my niche. Luckily wikipedia has lots of things to work on for all sorts of editors! Happy editing, Mujinga (talk) 11:49, 10 May 2026 (UTC)

As a new user don't feel a pressure to report, someone else will eventually do it if the vandalism is egregious enough (although some hoaxes have lasted for years before being spotted, see Wikipedia:List of hoaxes on Wikipedia ↗!) Thank you so much for being willing to mentor us newer editors. If I have any questions I will be sure to reach out!

Question from LandauTheLion (09:10, 16 May 2026)
Hi, I just wanted to verify with You, when linking articles, I would rather try to keep the amount of links low, unless something might be not obvious or interesting.
Also, for eg. I didn't link electron microscope with "low energy electron microscope" as it's not the same, and LEEM has separate page too.
I know these might be pretty obvious, but I would rather get some feedback. --LandauTheLion (talk) 09:10, 16 May 2026 (UTC)
:Hi @LandauTheLion it's a good question! It shows you are getting to grips with the "wikipedia house style" of editing here. I see you've been using the links suggester, which is a good way to start off and I've put extra advice at User talk:LandauTheLion. Now to answer your question, it's fine to use discretion, you don't need to do all the suggested links. Keeping link low though, that's not necessarily the idea, since we do want the "general reader" to click through to understand what something is if it's not clear. You'll pick up the hang of when to link soon enough. There is Help:Link ↗ but it is a rather dense read - actually Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Linking ↗ is better. Two tips - we don't tend to link to well-known cities eg London or New York, and we want to be avoiding the dreaded sea of blue ↗, so it is discouraged to link three things right next to each other. Happy editing! Mujinga (talk) 10:58, 17 May 2026 (UTC)
Question from IL0veOpenSource (23:26, 19 May 2026)
Hi Mujinga,
I’d like to contribute to the Vultr article. There is currently no existing logo of Vultr Holdings LLC on Wikipedia.
Would you please upload the logo so I can edit the article? I tried to do it myself, but since I am not an authorized user on Wikipedia yet, I am unable to upload files. I also tried to submit a request to add the logo, but I’m confused about the process, so I’m reaching out for help.
Thanks. --IL0veOpenSource (talk) 23:26, 19 May 2026 (UTC)
: Hi IL0veOpenSource, well you've made the request at Wikipedia:Files_for_upload#File_request:_Vultr_logo ↗, so now you just need for an answer from another volunteer there. Just to check, are you connected in any way with the company in real life? That's ok, but should be declared. Happy editing! Mujinga (talk) 06:53, 20 May 2026 (UTC)
::Hi @Mujinga, Oh, I see - I thought the request I made wasn’t successful. Do you know how long it usually takes for a volunteer to respond and upload it?
::Nope, I’m not connected to Vultr Holdings LLC in real life. I’m just here because I’m excited about cloud hosting providers and I’d like to help improve their pages and create new ones if they don’t exist yet. Thanks! IL0veOpenSource (talk) 08:37, 20 May 2026 (UTC)
:::Hi @IL0veOpenSource i am glad you have found your niche on wikipedia that's excellent :) i have to say i have never seen that upload request page before, but i'm sure like everything else it will get dealt with at some point, just depends on volunteer time and energy. cheers, Mujinga (talk) 14:02, 20 May 2026 (UTC)

Would you please upload the logo so I can edit the article? I tried to do it myself, but since I am not an authorized user on Wikipedia yet, I am unable to upload files. I also tried to submit a request to add the logo, but I’m confused about the process, so I’m reaching out for help.
Thanks. IL0veOpenSource (talk) 23:29, 19 May 2026 (UTC)

Question from Abdullahi710 (10:16, 27 May 2026)
Hello I want to fix a little issue about thr article "Dir clan" when it's comes to branches one of the clans "Gariire" doesn't have a blue (the blue color work like link) and it's hard to in it. --Abdullahi710 (talk) 10:16, 27 May 2026 (UTC)
:Hi @Abdullahi710 I may need more information from you to help resolve this issue but i can say for now that blue links can only occur when there is a page for the article being linked, otherwise it will be a redlink. Hence the "women in red" project which aims to turn redlinks for women into blue. So Gariire ↗ is red. Girirra language ↗ on the other hand is blue. Mujinga (talk) 11:56, 27 May 2026 (UTC)

Question from Manager Liz Jane (19:19, 29 May 2026)
Hello There I am Liz Jane from Uganda Am a Literature student and I like Editing. I am Glad I joined Wikipedia, I have many Public Figures from Uganda Who need to be created pages Can you he'll me do it --Manager Liz Jane (talk) 19:19, 29 May 2026 (UTC)
:Hi @Manager Liz Jane and welcome to wikipedia! It would be great to get more articles on public figures from Uganda!! However we will need articles with decent referencing, meaning facts cited to significant coverage in ireliable sources like national newspapers or magazines, or books published by reputable publishers. This is something which takes a while to learn how to do, but there's lots of help available I'll put some at User talk:Manager Liz Jane. Right now on that page you have a draft page for Vincent Katongole, which would be better off as a draft. Right now it doesn't have enough sourcing to be a wikipedia article, perhaps it can in time. The process to follow is outlined at Wikipedia:Articles for creation ↗. Happy editing! Mujinga (talk) 20:38, 29 May 2026 (UTC)
::So do you have enough Information about Vincent Katongole aka KVM PRO UG Coz he has news Articles on many sites in Uganda. Kindly make him one Article or If not possible It's Okk we can wait but there is more Info about him Manager Liz Jane (talk) 16:06, 31 May 2026 (UTC)

:@Manager Liz Jane yes it's often hard for new editors to understand that people who are notable to them are not necessarily notable by wikipedia standards. It's worth reading Wikipedia:Notability ↗ to under stand this distinction. Cheers, Mujinga (talk) 19:28, 31 May 2026 (UTC)

Correction regarding Parth's parentage
The article currently states that Parth is Karan and Tanya's son. According to the series storyline, Parth is the biological son of Karan and Nandini, who was separated from them after birth and later revealed by Parvati in the finale.

The article contains an inconsistency regarding Parth. Earlier in the plot, it is stated that Karan and Nandini were searching for their lost son, who had been taken away after birth. In the final episode section, Parth is described as Karan and Tanya's son. According to the storyline, Parth is the biological son of Karan and Nandini, who was separated from them after birth and later revealed by Parvati in the finale. Please review and correct this information, citing reliable episode sources if available.
Kindly check Jio hotstar last episode of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi season 1.Even while shooting Parth she cried and tried to kill herself saying that she killed her own son and she deserves a punishment for this. They will show Nandini killing her own son ,not someone else (Tanya) . Nandini role is Mother India. Tanya has only one son Manthan. Nandini Karan have four children Bhoomi,Parth,Rounak ,Samaira. Thanks for making the changes by correcting Parth's parentage as Nandini and Karan's son
Thanks for making the changes as Parth is Karan and Nandini's son. By the last episode Nandini cries as she killed her own son and tries to kill herself by saying that she killed her own son. They will show Nandini as mother India like Tulsi who will kill their own blood for justice.

:@Sandhya27a please read Wikipedia:Edit requests ↗ and make the request in the proper form at Talk:Kyunki_Saas_Bhi_Kabhi_Bahu_Thi_2 ↗. It's not my role as mentor to action edits on your behalf. Mujinga (talk) 09:04, 30 June 2026 (UTC)
You're invited to the Mentorship noticeboard
Hi, Mujinga. You are cordially invited to the brand new Wikipedia:Mentorship noticeboard ↗! I think we've maybe interacted before, barely, in connection with Mentorship, but mostly I get the impression that we mentors are each toiling in our own cubbyhole or hamster wheel, as the case may be, quietly answering mentee questions with little to no interaction with other mentors. I think we have a lot to learn from each other, and I know it will make me feel better just having the opportunity to interact with you and other mentors there, and I hope it will for you, too. Look forward to seeing you there! Mathglot (talk) 08:33, 3 July 2026 (UTC)
Question from XRC0000 (16:58, 7 July 2026)
I think that the citation that I added (which became [5]) is the same as the one following (which became [6]) and I'm not sure if they are actually the same and if so, what to do about it.
The page in question is "Holmwood, Binfield Heath" --XRC0000 (talk) 16:58, 7 July 2026 (UTC)
:Hi @XRC0000 and thank for providing the article in question. Yes, looks like you have duplicated the reference in a different form. Although I can't find the relevant advice page to point you towards, the solution is quite simple. The reference on first mention is defined as ''< ref name="Hen19" >'' with the full info following and then on subsequent mentions is written in full as ''< ref name="Hen19" / >'' to refer back. Hope that makes sense, I can imagine it might be confusing. I already performed the change. All edits are tracked in article history so you can see what i did here - https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Holmwood,_Binfield_Heath&oldid=1363136582. Question from TenTalNet (00:21, 10 July 2026)
I would like to add a photo to go with the article i have written about Sara M. Vance Waddell. How do I do this? --TenTalNet (talk) 00:21, 10 July 2026 (UTC)
:Hi @TenTalNet i guess you are talkign about what is currently at User:TenTalNet. this would need work before becoming an encyclopedic article and to that end, i've put some helpful links at User talk:TenTalNet. regarding adding a photo, the first to be aware of is that wikipedia is very hot on copyright, so you need to bear that in mind. in the main, photos are stored at wikicommons, and here is a guide to uploading a picture - https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:UploadWizard. happy editing!
