National varieties of English

25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Hello. In a recent edit to the page :Douglas Mental Health University Institute ↗, you changed one or more words or styles from one national variety of English to another. Because Wikipedia has readers from all over the world, our policy is to respect national varieties of English ↗ in Wikipedia articles.

For a subject exclusively related to the United Kingdom (for example, a famous British person), use British English ↗. For something related to the United States in the same way, use American English ↗. For something related to another English-speaking country ↗, such as Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, India, or Pakistan, use the variety of English used there. For an international topic, use the form of English that the ''first'' author of the article used.

In view of that, please don't change articles from one version of English to another, even if you don't normally use the version in which the article is written. Respect other people's versions of English. They, in turn, should respect yours. Other general guidelines on how Wikipedia articles are written can be found in the Manual of Style ↗. If you have any questions about this, you can ask me on my talk page or visit the help desk ↗. Thank you. ''bonadea'' contributions ↗ talk 14:48, 28 April 2025 (UTC)

25px|alt=Warning icon ↗ Please stop. If you continue to use disruptive, inappropriate or hard-to-read formatting, as you did at :George Bovet ↗, you may be blocked from editing ↗. There is a Wikipedia Manual of Style ↗, and edits should not deliberately go against it without special reason. Jalen Barks (Woof) 16:22, 5 May 2025 (UTC)

30px|alt=Stop icon ↗ You may be '''blocked from editing ↗ without further warning''' the next time you make disruptive edits to Wikipedia contrary to the Manual of Style ↗, as you did at :Hans Schatzmann ↗. Jalen Barks (Woof) 16:25, 5 May 2025 (UTC)

:The MOS I'm referring to here is MOS:OLINK ↗, which explicitly says not to link common knowledge, i.e. names of most commonly known countries. Jalen Barks (Woof) 16:29, 5 May 2025 (UTC)

25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions ↗, such as the edit(s) you made to :Arne Quinze ↗, did not appear to be constructive and have been reverted ↗. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines ↗. You can find information about these at our welcome page ↗ which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia ↗. If you only meant to make test edits, please use your sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page ↗. 25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Please do not use styles that are nonstandard, unusual, inappropriate or difficult to understand in articles, as you did in :Critical Start ↗. The Capture of El Maragato ↗ moved to draftspace

Thanks for your contributions to The Capture of El Maragato ↗. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing as a live article at this time because '''it is not ready for mainspace'''.
I have converted it to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page ↗.
When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit the draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Ighs (talk) 20:21, 9 July 2026 (UTC)

Having a draft declined at Articles for creation can be disappointing, but don't be discouraged, it's common when creating your first article ↗.
